The Legnum is a great all-rounder. Does lack some creature comforts, but it's still a way nicer car to drive, and loom back at! If you can, I highly recommend.

Yep, still have it. Just been swamped with my main project on the channel. The surging was the return pipe from the boost supply to the boost feed. Common issue. Split right through it. The IC was bought from the states, company called Tyrol Sport.

@@datbuildOn it! Had some eBay issues with a dodgy seller of that compressor. Turned out to be faulty. Got a new now but has taken a few days to sort it all out. 😭😄

That sucks. At least buying through eBay, you have a bit of recourse. Still no fun to deal with however.

Never considered a bike engine! That would be pretty wild. Will be going forced induction. But that's a ways off.

Unfortunately, I don't have his details, sorry. Was literally a bump in to at the car show. Was nice enough to let me film/ interview.

Nope. Just had no time to do any videos for it lately. On a time crunch with my primary project presently. Taking all my spare time and resources.

I've had a suggestion from a colleague about being able to retap, which I'll try out first. Fingers crossed. Helicoil or insert is more complicated than it seems due to angle and tight space for drill.

There is what they call a gland nut that holds the flywheel to the crankshaft. This gland nut has a needle bearing in the center that supports the clutch end of the input shaft.

Cheers Andy. I think the steering box is ok. I believe majority of the slop in the steering, was from the dead ball joints. Will find out in the near future. But box off the car, it feels tight in its movements.

The space I use is borrowed, and I will probably have to be out by end of September. So, building more just isn't on the cards. Would love a shed of my own, but yeah.

Exactly! Make your own benches, tools, whatever you need. Makes it more fun (in my opinion). Sorry, what rubber bench? Yeah, there's a lot of trial and error that doesn't make the cut for the video. Namely as it would make the videos so long. I lost at least another 10 minutes of video (edited down), which translates to 4 hours of work. It's definitely a slow process.

I'm curious, but also... (kind of) don't care. It's a build of love, and spending money where needed to make it a cheap project. I've kept every receipt in a binder with that being said.

Yeah. I have considered the options. It does do its job in helping to support the 'float' of the "A Pillar" in the middle, so the weight isn't resting on the floorboards. Funnily enough, the lowest point is the side skirts and front bumper. The A frame does sit slightly above. I do agree, a better piece could be made to replace it. I do though have the issue of compliance. The space frame/sub frame is covered. But any drastic mods I do to it, or add then could pose a problem. It's a massive annoyance, and caused simply from where I live.

@@datbuild it would not be a problem with engineering, when it comes time your engineer will want to do a torque test , supporting the front the way I have suggested will pass without any issues, the torque test is based on the specs taken from a standard VW beetle , the sub frame you have is way over kill including with the modification that I’m suggesting

Yeah. Fair point. Will give it more thought. Bigger problem is time now, which I'll be explaining in the next episode. That's going to complicate things, including modifications I'd like to do.
