An exotic species in Silver City, NM that is considered invasive by many. I am certain that I mispronounced the name in the video.

9 weeks through my summer session of taking a humanities class and intro to statistics at WNMU.
Minimalist Home in Silver City, New Mexico.

We purchased a small home in December of 2023 for $105k in the heart of Silver City, New Mexico. Everything worked-no leaks, and no problems. Other than skunks living under the house. Ha! That has been handled! We are a 10 minute walk to University library, three parks, or the downtown food co-op, 5 minute walk to city library and 2 minute walk to our local green space, “The Big Ditch”! We love...

I took a break after spring semester-Spanish, Zoology, Philosophy-and am now taking Statistics and another Philosophy class. Did this vid while walking to pick up my laptop which did not want to accept a software program for my statistics class: R-studio. They said they got it figured out. I will see.

kill? so its a strangler type tree
I don't follow...
¡La tecnología es un gran dolor de cabeza¡ Pero de todos modos, la necesitamos.
jakjajajajaj
Keep smiling and trucking on!
Edit: When I say "8 or 9 gallons of water" at about 6:30, it really is 8 or 9 gallons x 5 barrels for 40-45 gallons total.
I liked and subscribed specifically because of your statement at the end😂. Good video
You should hear what my friends who are still teaching have to say about what’s going on in their classrooms 😱
I imagine…
Your barrels are upside down. The scale for gallons won't work upside down unless you write the scales correctly with a permanent marker in the reverse order.
Yes--they are upside down. So the bottom of the upside down barrel (towards the ground) indicates 55 gallons, ten gallons up it would read 45 gallons, and hence, a bit below that (towards the ground) would mean that there are 8 to 9 gallons of water in each barrel. It works if you know that they are upside down, which is hard to forget, since the numbers are written upside down. I am not trying to be sarcastic, just trying to understand where you are coming from.
How are you doing now?
Thank you for asking. Better. I will respond more to this shortly.
I have learned so much. Dr. Shin C. Beh in Dallas helped me a lot. I take supplements: CoQ10, Magnesium, B12, B2, and D3. I eat ZERO processed foods, strict vegan diet, no caffeine, and no alcohol. I have eliminated a LOT of foods from my diet. I still have my daily nausea hangover, all day everyday, but I don't let it control me, and I don't give it more space than it deserves. I have learned about my triggers. Feel free to ask questions here.
@@wouldbfarmer2227 do you struggle with dizziness? Headaches/ migraines?
I love the idea of installing the barrels upside down. That means that you only need one hole in each barrel for the air vent, and only one barrel needs an input from the downspout and only one barrel needs an overflow. Plus, the spigot is attached onto the outlet pipe manifold, and each barrel connects to the manifold via the 3/4" threaded knockout in each barrel's buttress bung cap. Fewer holes to drill & maybe leak, and all the barrels automatically have the same amount of water in them. Pure genius!
Yes! THIS!
@@wouldbfarmer2227 One design issue that I need to think about is freeze protection and a resilient failure mode that keeps water flowing if a barrel or connector fails. In other words, some emergency cutoff valves that can disconnect one or more barrels if they fail or need cleaning or repair - without affecting the working barrels & the manifold output.
We did have a nomadic life, didn’t we? I really enjoyed my class in symbolic logic. It was a blast! Great intro!
Thanks for this video. I just bought 4 barrel kit from bluebarrelsystems and I just received 6 bluebarrel food grade this morning. I'm excited to start this project.
Well done, good thinking, I have done similar, including overflow from last tank into garden & fertilising through the tanks ❤
I learned synchrotism today too! I’d heard of synchronism and synchronicity, but not the other.

Is he adjunct or tenured/tenure track? I hope you’ll open that Pandora’s box in your university adventure 😈
He is the assistant professor of bilingual education / tenured track
He has made several adjustments to the curriculum and several of us have had conversations with him about the class. He has been enlightened, lol.
Parece que tuviste una clase interesante e inolvidable. 😂
!jajajaja! exactamente!
I was thinking about going back to school. My challenge is finding time to do it. 55,work ten to twelve hrs a day and being a caregiver to my wife.
goodjob with school
La tecnología no es nuestra amiga!
Buena suerte con tu clase de español!
Just subbed bro. Back to school 👌🏾
You are a substitute teacher? Awesome 👏
@wouldbfarmer2227 oh no. Not me lol. I was just saluting you ✌🏿
Enjoy your new adventure!
Looks great! 👍🏼
Thanks brother! Now we gotta sell the other one!
❤ Good luck! My neighborhood area has firecrackers EVERY holiday from about a week before to a week or two after. Christmas, New Year’s, September 15, Cinco de Mayo, and even Mother’s Day! And if a preferred team wins a major sporting event, it’s everyone for themselves!
I am getting old! I hate unnecessary noise!!! Especially when I am trying to sleep, lol!
Using the hose is a good trick. Better than spending the $45 for the gauge they sell on their website. Thanks.
Indeed, and since I have three mini-systems, that would mean 3 gauges?!?

Impressive
How do the neighbors like it?
So inspiring. Hello kitties. What are you doing for coyote protection We lost 3 cats in the last month. My heart is broken.
Coyotes-nothing. We are not going to keep three cats inside. We hope that by creating a nice forest here on our lot that they stay here more than not. We know the dangers. Neighbors all like us but do not understand this. They all want to shave everything -except the occasional tree-right to the ground. (To protect against fire, and for low maintenance.) This is their mindset.
So sad for your kitties. We lost one in November right after we arrived.
incredible change!
Pomegranate! Jealous 😉
Great
Yo Would B...did the bentonite work? I am going to try it on my little pond if it did. Peace!

Big difference! Btw, I thought I heard the call of a Collared Dove. 🤔
Could be! We have some life here!

Updates?
I had a meeting with an MD who spent 15 minutes with me yesterday, evidently to ascertain whether or not I was fit to work. What a joke it was. He asked me a few standard administrative questions then had me do the basic balance tests. It was one of those ‘check the boxes’ type of things, and basically worthless. The physician was very nice but it was obvious that he didn’t understand the disease of Vestibular Migraine at any more than at a cursory level, as he was an ER trained physician, and works also as a worker’s comp doc.. Almost a slap in the face after all the specialists and neurologists I have seen. Perplexing, unless the SSA simply doesn’t want a physician who might understand my condition as that doctor might then side with my claim. He also wasn’t interested in all the files and records I had brought with me. Vestibular patients are a square peg and the medical system is a round hole.
@@wouldbfarmer2227 I applied for SSDI and it takes a while to get a denial it seems as though migraines are listed which I have suffered for more than 25 years yet are commonly denied. I have had a CT scan which was normal and a thyroid test and follow up all normal and I saw a neurologist which was a joke!! The neurologist basically had me touch my nose and checked my walking and checked my reflexes and gave me a sample migraine med and told me to switch to a different medication. I think mine is from my spine but I really don’t know. It is frustrating when the resource is there to utilize yet people get denied and have to hire an attorney. Did you follow up on your claim?
@@wouldbfarmer2227 I'm from Poland, with chronic migraine. Currently preparing questions for expert witness as she didn't even know chronic migraine exists. And she's already a second neurologist. The first one claimed that I have a severe depression and that's why I behave this way. Except... I don't, what was confirmed by other 2 expert witnesses - psychologist and psychiatrist. About my record, 5 doctors who specialize in head pain or even migraine itself confirmed I have a chronic migraine. The previous expert witness confirmed chronic migraine too. But she claims that migraines are rare (without giving any information how often they occur or how long they last), I can threat it within sick leave, and head pain on it's own doesn't cause a disability. My situation isn't too bad - I studied physics, I have some skills that are very desired on job market, so I was able to find a remote IT job, as programmer. Currently earning less than half minimum wage, but with my mother's help it's enough to survive. In Poland no one has got a disability benefits only because of migraine, so even though my case is good, it's unlikely I'll get anything. Still worth a try. I appealed initial decision to court in the end of 2018, so it's already almost 5 years. As it's unlikely to end in the first court instance, I expect it'll last at least 2 years more. Not to scare you, just saying... I don't know about your medical record, it's hard to find a good doctor who specializes in headaches. I know about Mayo Clinic in Arizona, maybe someone could help you remotely. This guy focuses on vestibular (migraine) symptoms too, maybe you can find something intresting: www.youtube.com/@DRMTCI

what is the problem with the ceiling buckling
I haven't noticed any buckling. Are you talking about visible shadows where the seems are?
Are the kitties included? Seriously, nice house!
That’s pretty much what I did. I kept telling myself over and over I am a non-drinker, I don’t drink. I also read a book that was very helpful called the easy way to control alcohol. I read it about three times. And for the first few years I read it again every three months. Now , 8 years on, I pretty much know it by heart and I have no desire to drink whatsoever. could use a physical refresh though 🦋
The problem with concrete is that there are millions of variations of concrete. Some of them don't hold water.
