I know it's not the same for everyone, but I skip breakfast.I just build up weight when I have breakfast, but if I skip breakfast just 3-4 days I don't feel the need for it anymore. It's just an extra meal for me.

Thank you so much for this video. They are always clear and practical. I am one of those who start and stop these diets coz I lack consistency or get overwhelmed. I am hoping starting these habits will work best for me.
While admire the advice and there is some truth to it… let’s admit it with %40 percent obesity the American population is stuck in a rat cage being fed crack in our food… some people can overcome it… some cannot. Of that 40% I’m sure a good majority of them have been on many diets in their lifetime.
That is true. The problem is 95% of all diets fail, as they focus on the diet. The diet is not a problem. The diet is the symptom of the problem. The problem being the lifestyle. I was there myself. from 118kg to 68kg. Was that found in a diet? Hell, no. It was found in changing one habit a time. One after the other. Then only do we lose the weight and keep it off. Diets try to change to much too quick and we fail. Focus on one habit at time. The problem with it thought is people want quick fixes and unfortunately it never works that way.
These videos and the program, are such gold.

What so many of these videos miss is something I experience and I bet others do too. Its not that we are bored because we have nothing to do. I think a lot of us are busy all day long, if we are adults. The problem is all the tasks we have to do are boring. Like work, its sooo boring. But eating is something that you often do while you do something else at the same time. Theres really nothing else I can do at work simultaneously while I am busy doing terribly boring tasks or real quick between tasks while I do other tasks.

Clearly you missed some biochemistry knowledge. Lipogenesis to occur requires high Insulin to be present, the Insulin is raised to high levels only by the carbs (no matter from where they come). This is why people on Keto, even if they overeat, lose their weight - Fats do not trigger high Insulin response. Moreover whole grains and plants, you mentioned, contain lectins, which can bind to insulin receptors (even more than the insulin itself) thus activating the lipogenesis and then weight gain.

This does not even warrant a response. "I missed biochem?" Some of the statements above miss so many marks when it comes to metabolism. Insulin Response: Not all carbs spike insulin equally. Whole carbs (like whole grains, fruits, and vegetables) cause a more gradual insulin response compared to processed carbs. BTW Protein spikes Insulin too Lipogenesis: Lipogenesis is influenced by overall calorie intake, not just insulin. Even on a keto diet, overeating can lead to weight gain if caloric intake exceeds expenditure. Lectins: The claim that lectins from whole grains and plants significantly bind to insulin receptors and cause weight gain is not supported by scientific evidence. Most lectins are destroyed by cooking and are not harmful in typical dietary amounts. Energy Balance: Weight management fundamentally depends on energy balance-calories in versus calories out-regardless of macronutrient composition. Your understanding of metabolism oversimplifies complex biochemical processes and overlooks the benefits of whole foods in a balanced diet.
@@RDBertus unfortunate what you are saying is wrong. Lipogenesis requires insulin to be present. You are mistakely oversimplyfying this by saying about energy balance only (which is direct projection of 1st thermodynamic law from closed systems, like steam engines, to open system, like human methabolism, which is a nonsens from the beginning) missing the point that insulin is required to trigger lipoprotein lipase (LPL) enzyme to allow triglicerydes to Access FAT cells. Moreover insulin inhibits HSL enzyme which is required for FAT cells to release triglicerydes, effectively blocking FAT burning. And about lectins - they are termo stable so cooking them will note help at all (gluten is a type of lectin and if lectins could be dissolved by heat, then celliacs could eat bread, which they can't). And about binding to insulin receptors - search pubmed and you will find their relationship to them is higher than insulin itself (for example PMID 4510292 and PMID 6357762). A lot of reading for you IT looks Like. As to the proteins- they can trigger insulin response, but this response is much smaller than from carbs and only significant (but still much smaller) in insulin resistant people (in insulin sensitive people the insulin response from protein is almost none, like from fats).

Thank you. This is only 4 out of 10, but it is a great start. Still, for those of us that are insulin resistant, I only eat above ground vegetables. At a meal eat veg, then protein, and lastly carbs.
You should eat your protein first because it doesn't spike your insulin & it keeps you full. I am insulin resistant & once I started this I noticed a difference & started losing more weight.

What about fasts? And what makes you say that weight that has been lost through diet is regained?
dieting assumes that you’ll start a routine and when you reach your goal, you’ll revert back to unhealthy eating habits. The point is to make it a lifestyle. Switch up the way you eat in general. It’s better to call it nutrition rather than dieting. Habits upon habits that end up building the body.
Many people who go on a diet, do so, and then when they go back to living the same way they did before the diet they regain the weight they lost. Many studies on this. Then they repeat that cycle and that is why we have the term yoyo dieting. And each cycle they get bigger and bigger. Losing weight is about the habits that you cultivate. Fasting is a tool in my opinion, not a diet. You can fast and still be unhealthy by what you eat, and also still have an unhealthy relationship with food. I've had patients who lose weight by fasting and some who gain weight. That's why fasting is a tool, not a diet. It works for some and not for others.
