How do we know that this is, in fact, real and not another recreation? The video is locked in a vault. But after 50 years we find out someone had an audio recording, and it’s just now coming out?

i’m very skeptical of this. this tape is impossible to find, how has the audio been leaked? there’s only one copy and it’s in possession of the owner of the station’s wife. she said she has no plans of letting anyone view it

this is FAKE!!! it’s aggravating that the real audio/footage has never been released, because curiosity wants us to see it, but these “audios” that surface every year or so claiming to be from the incident are so obviously fake. this is not real. we will never hear what happened or see what happened, unless the widowed wife of the news station guy decides to have it released
The audio is actually real and it's authenticity was proven. You might think it's fake because "it was never released", but it looks like the person who found the audio was able to get their hands on the tape that contained the audio. Please don't take my comment as a hate comment, I just want to tell the truth.

Maybe, but it was just a local station and very unlikely anyone was recording it. Also this audio was already proven to be a fake. nothing of the incident remains

It's never been 100% substantiated, so you can't say for certain it's real. The gunshot also happens too soon into her saying "s*****e" clearly. It sounds like it was added in.

This audio is not real. and footage is in possession of the TV station owner and once he died was passed to his widowed wife. it will never and has never been released. the only thing we have from the incident is the script

I wonder. How was anyone able to get access of the audio, let alone any form of direct media surrounding this incident? The only person that has an actual copy of the tape is Molly Nelson, who was given the tape by her late husband (who worked in that very news station) and has now kept it at a law firm for safety keeping and has no plans of ever releasing it to the public. Someone please tell me. This doesn’t mean I want to see it, I have morals. I just want to know how someone was able to get ahold of any media surrounding this incident.
This isnt real. I am 100% sure of it. but if it were to be real, it could be a leak from any of the officers working on the case and with the evidence. multiple people have viewed and listened to the incident and its not impossible something got leaked. but this is not real..
