Jetour X70 Plus MY First LOOK
The Jetour X70 Plus is a new chinese SUV to grace our shores. Do you think another option is needed in this segment?
All I am saying is that it is a contender in an already saturated catergory, and it has something to offer.
Thanks to Jetour William Simpson for allowing me the opportunity to review this car. It was an enjoyable experience, and really something to think about as I am on my journey to find my next car.

I would honestly speak to a JAC owner, also I can confirm that the likes of Ford and Toyota also have their fair share of challenges surrounding parts

I own a T8 and I simply love it however as soon as I can I will buy the T9. I've even test driven one and I was seriously impressed.
I personally love the T9, the suspension felt a bit hard compared to the refined Fords and Toyotas around, however I think its a fair sacrifice considering the load capacity and price that you are paying. All the best in getting your T9.

In the street there is no Ambient lighting, the lowest model with it would be the Lux

China produces good at every level in the quality spectrum. You also have many comp manufacturers running their factories in China or other countries like it in order to get the cost of production down in the economies of scale up. Chery and all of these Chinese brands have huge economies of scale because they’re producing cars to their local market and now they’re tapping into the export market as well. When you can produce something just as good as any of the staple brands but you can do it cheaper because you’re producing more that’s so interesting recipe
This is so on point, and I agree with your point. It was only a matter of time that China would be doing this and branching out not only in electronics. Chery, the Chery group of cars, BYD, GAC, there are so many and it’s only the start of what is to come. First it was the German cars, then Japanese, Korean and now the Chinese are getting their chance
i love it, fuel on economy i am getting 6.3l on the highway @100kmh, love the big grille the power and confort

Really like this car. Contemplating buying it. If there's only a wall plug charger then that's not good. There should be a 7kW charger as well like the Mini
From what I understand they were including a R12000 charging kit with the purchase, best bet would be to speak to BYD and see what deal they can put together for you

I am about 185cm tall, you may sit a bit snug to be honest, as I had the seat right to the back for my driving position but then I sit higher so raised it.

How do you charge it ? How long does it take to reach full charge from empty ?
There are apparently 3 ways to charge- wall plug, charging station and an emergency charger. On a 50kw/h charge it should charge the battery to fill in 40mins according to dealer spec.
In addition to my first comment that was not published… what it the range of the vehicle on full charge ?
So there are 2 models the standard has a rated range of 310kms and the extended battery model rated at 427kms
How do you charge it ? How long does it take to charge ?
It has about 3 different ways to charge so you should be sorted in that area. Charging depends on which option you choose, house charging with a plug will be the slowest but an overnight charge should get your battery full by the morning to give you peace of mind.

Opel is no longer German my friend. Stelantis owns the brand and the entire car l - platform, engine ect come from the Peugoet/Citroen group

Is it save to drive in south afrika.?.....here in europe we hear horrow tales about south africa especially in case of violence and hate crimes.....against white people..
It is safe to drive in South Africa, just like any country you get places where there is a potential for crime.
Also crime and violence affects all who live in South Africa, and not only WHITE people! The stories you hear aren't truthful and whoever is telling you, is sure pushing a narrative, darkie baie!
Bro you a very good reviewer. Have to compliment you. Never felt like I wanted to stop the review half way. I am currently driving a Chery Tiggo 4 Pro Elite CVT and trust me I am still criticised two years later for buying Chinese. My car got no issues. Drives like dream. The performance is very good. My next car is definitely Jaecoo. I was never into brand names. Just give me value for money and Chinese cars offers the absolute best value for money.

I have a suggestion at the price point: the Honda Fit. It will genuinely surprise you in every respect other than its performance.
I agree, a very underrated car. Honda for sure has some decent value, and have brought in a number of vehicles recently to shake up the market

Quite a tough question, I would be swayed to the VW for the extra legroom in the rear. However both vehicles at this price point offer good value.
