🤞Almost all of the barra fishing spots in Pulau Ubin have been shown on my MLFS series, MLFS.9 for Ketam beach, MLFS.10 for northern ubin and this MLFS.21 for southern ubin. Now the only legal fishing spots and overnight camping areas in Ubin is northern Mamam beach and southern Jelutong beach. Do not underestimated the Jelutong beach, because Jelutong is where we caught the biggest barra 49" (1.24m) and most of the KG barra. 👍👍👍 May the spirit of the eagle be with you, happy barra fishing always...

@@9w2pat 👌👌👌 Because my DJI action camera in my previous vlog got very bad edge distortion problem, I went to DJI workshop and they asked me to shut down the horizontal and vertical stabilizer, but it seemed like it didn't really work. @@elgoh4660 👍 This idea for sure will work, in fact I've tried it 30 yrs ago and the problem is the extra sinker line will easily get tangled up with floater rig every time you cast. A boy suggested a similar way a yr ago, my fed back is the sliding sinker on this FPFR the structure needs to be as simple as possible for smooth operation. The simplest way is not to set the reel at zero drag, may be at 30~40% so when barra pulled the floater rig water resistant will help to bring up the sinker, but this will also decrease the hook up rate.🤞👌💪 May the spirit of the eagle be with you, happy barra fishing always...

4th spot just located 70m right behind the famous Ah MA drink stall @ Jelutong bridge (first bridge). When you're walking from main jetty to Jelutong bridge about 30m before the bridge, and before the road bend on the left side you will see an abandoned main gate and that's the main entrance to the Ah Poh prawn ponds, just get in the area from the small trail hidden @ the right side of the main gate, continue on the small trail and you'll come to 4th spot. To the 5th spot you just continue walk 450m SSW on the same small trail, but believe that about halfway a portion of the small trail has collapsed into the water, so plan you trip in and out there in the lowest tide periods, so you can walk across the seabed to the others side of the shore. 😅 I’ve been busy with video making for my other 2 channels and just finished a family's video that took 2 mths in the making. 😁 Actually in the past 3 mths there was a plan to go on a day expedition to the southern Ubin , and then an overnight fishing and camping activity depending on that recce situation, then back to northern Ubin for another overnight fishing, but every time when I was ready to go on the plan it rained, or otherwise I'm busy on my video making. 👍👍👍 Hopefully the weather will improve in the next few weeks and allow me to continue my beloved activity.

Always thought that fishing would be better if the weather was hot. A senior Ubin villager told me that fishing results on the northern shore are now better than the southern shore. If @ ponds, the ecosystems could have already been destroyed. Kampong Malayu is undergoing for NPB's EMR (Ecological Mangrove Restoration) project from last year until 2026. The Singapore's first large-scale project helps to enhance the long-term resilience of mangrove habitats and increase Singapore’s capacity for carbon storage, which helps to fight climate change by reducing the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, work is estimated with around 8,000 mangrove plants that will naturally take root at the site. Many senior anglers are still able to find their way to fish @ KM's ponds, they just walk across the Sungai Sensory at low tide, and 600m ahead to the east along the shores, is the place they used to call KM's Barra Secret Spot... Please note, never go in the remote area without a buddy system, plan in advance to get in and out the KM's fishing spot, because Tide's Timing is extremely critical @ this area...... 👍 May the spirit of the eagle be with you. You can either walk from Jelutong Campsite along the shores to the west, about 600m and you'll see Ah Poh barrage stand, but this beach's route only passable at low tide. Another way is from the small trail behind the Jelutong Campsite, just walk ahead west 300m (passing a small construction site on you right) and you'll see a fence gate, continue walk 300m on the small trail ahead west along the pond on your right, about 300m to reach APBS. Please note, Ah Poh prawn pond is a NPB's restricted area, outsiders are not permitted in the area. You can see a warning signage placed in front of the locked fence gate. NPB's rangers regularly patrol the areas. 👍 May the spirit of the eagle be with you. Happy barra fishing always...

Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, most Importantly is not to set up any campfire in the RA. NPB ranger will warn and ask you to leave the RA immediately.

If you're talking about the Noodin Main Beach with 2 abandoned huts which was used to call Noodin Campsite many years ago, it's just located 2.7km north of the Ubin main jetty. I think there're probably 7 site direction maps along the way, if you're intent to walk 35mins there, taxi or cycling take only about 10mins. If you're talking about Noordin Estuary Beach which is calling Sungei Besar now, the only way to excess is to continue walking 20mins west along Noordin main beach, and only can getting in and out there at the low tide periods. Please take note that Noodin beach area is officially closed to tourists for many years, you can see a NPB's notice at the locked main entrance fence gate, but some senior anglers still continue their fishing there @ the huts areas... I always have a thought to demonstrate the diy adjustable voltage regulator in one of MLFS vlog also, but you can check up the same circuit diagram I'm using @ this RUclips link ruclips.net/video/pTiAJX1Y6vI/видео.html You can buy all the diy components @ the Sim Lim Tower. It's better for you to use just the rechargable normal battery 1.5v, instead of follow like me using the 8 ~ 24v rechargable Lipo battery, bcz this's the hobby grade battery and you need to charge it up with a special charger, you can refer to MLFS.5 for the charging process of this Lipo battery, and it's not cheap for the battery and charger also. For my case it's special that I'm using back an obsolete battery from RC activity, which has already lost the peak voltage property, so I just made the diy AVR to continue it life on my fishing activity... 👍👍👍 May the spirit of the eagle be with you, happy barra fishing always...

I've been overnight fishing @ Ubin 30 yrs ago on almost every weekend no matter the month. If you've seen my RUclips MLFS.4 the overnight fishing camping trip which has caught 16 barra @ Kg Sensory pond was in the 7th month, and we met the owners from the nearby fish farm, went there also in the midnight just to pickup the durains until morning. It all depends on your fishing attitudes and motivation, If you're a nature and animal lover, then why should you worry for? But everybody's energy level is different, for the beginner of overnight fishing @ the remote areas, my advice is not to go in kampong noordin, malayu and puaka bridge, just for their mental and psychological readiness, this'll take a long time to build up the confidence for such a situation. Juletong campsite is ok to visit. 👍👍👍 Doing what you like is freedom, liking what you do is happiness...

NPB has changed the regulation for camping @ubin, if you have not applied the permit, make sure not to set up any camp fire even at the designated campsite. NPB ranger and the police stationed at ubin, petrol day and night for any illegal events at the restricted area. 👍👍👍 May the spirit of the eagle be with you, happy barra fishing always...
