This was an epic day of riding. The beauty of this area is beyond words. And the trail is extremely challenging in some places. We rode our 24 Husqvarna TE300 Pro and our 24 KTM XCW 300 Hard Enduro. Enjoy our movie.

Idaho Singletrack - Carrying Chainsaws on Dirtbikes and Clearing Trails
Просмотров 1104 месяца назад
We rode our dirt bikes all day and cut and removed trees that had fallen across the trails. We carried our chainsaws on special mounts along with spare gas and tools. We had a lot of fun doing it, but it was a ton of work. Many riders commit themselves to this task every year to help keep trails open for all of the riders who enjoy our trails.
Idaho Singletrack - Huge Group of Dirtbikers Clearing Trails with Chainsaws

Day 2 of our Old Man Camp Crew. We cleared multiple trails over 3 days in the Stolle Meadows area with chainsaws on our motorcycles. It was so much fun and this was the best group of guys. Everybody worked hard and had a great time doing it. Lots of laughs and unforgettable moments.

What a cool truck! A Shaggy fan here!
@Jdyyys5192 heck yea! He's an awesome dude!
@ my baby boy 😌
Where are you in Utah. Would like to connect and get some insight as my son has a highboy
@@tyberrett I am in Boise, Idaho.
@tyberrett but it would be great to meet you. If you find yourself up this way, stop in and we will have a great day.
@foxtailadventures thank you. Your truck looks amazing
Enjoying the build. Is the white an actual white or is it cream colored? Thanks for sharing
The white on the wheels is currently a bright white. But Wimbledon White is more of a cream white.
In the process of redoing my 67 F-250 also, have a 76 FE 390 and the original 4 speed, I am going to keep the divorced transfer case Dana 24, have bought 2 donor trucks for parts as I needed a cab and bed, have mine stripped down to the frame and motor on the engine stand, I am enjoying watching your build,
@@BradWonderly what a cool project you have going. It sure is great to have extra parts. Keep us updated on your progress! I'm so glad you are enjoying my build. Thanks for being an active part of it.
The orange and white will look good! I personally think Wimbledon white with the white on your wheels will look like a mistake since its 2 different shades of white. The wheels look good against just about any factory color for sure...but on a 2 tone , I think they should match one of the colors. Its coming along nicely though!
@chevelleranch7481 I have thought about that as well. But then I saw one, and it looked amazing. I think it's because they are separated enough to make it work. If it does bug me, I can paint the wheels later. Good input. Thank you.
If you buy a lift you get a raised arm that goes on the driver side, that is with a Chevy lift
Ahh. Yea they might even be available for this. Thanks for the info. Good stuff.
@ yeah call rough country, nice guys I’ve talked to them a lot,
Tires??
These are the Superlug 9.00/16 tires. I love the look of them. And they are a high quality tire. I'm just not sure about them being bias ply for a truck I will drive often. Lots of guys love them.
@foxtailadventures Thank you. They are awesome looking....just right.
What transmission are you using? Great build!
It's a Tremec TR4050 5 speed. From Advance Adapters. I'm excited to drive it with this close ratio manual.
Paints going to look amazing!!!!
@@greenshovel I want to paint it right now! So bad!
My god it's gorgeous at this stage. ❤
I did a soulless innovation tank on my 71 truck and modified a Jerry can for my fill neck.
That's a great idea. I would love to see that. Thanks for being a part of this.
I dunno if you have instagram but I can share it
@calderboysa i do. Fox Tail Adventures.
The Cordova is what we called "burned" orange when I was a kid. (early '70s) It''ll look fine. All the white will make it pop!!
Yea, I'm so excited to get color on it. Classic beauty.
Where did you get that tank from? I need one for my ‘67 f100
I got it from Summit. But remember that this is a 79 frame. So I'm not sure if it fits the 67-72 frame.
@@foxtailadventuresframe rails still 33” wide on a 79?
@@ryancohlmeyer7070 37.5 outside / 33.75 inside.
I love the truck! Have you seen the electric power steering kits for the Highboys? If so, what are your thoughts? Do you think they are a safe option for someone looking to convert? Thanks!
I haven't used them yet, but I've seen a lot of them out there. I can't talk much about the safety factor. But I would recommend calling and talking with them in detail about it.
Should be able to get a steering block. It will raise up the factory arm up at the knuckle.
Nice 😏👌
Ya more work on the truck and less talking and telling what you did . Let's see the actual work being down .. I'm new to your channel and would like to see more as I'm a f150 owner for the last 40 years ..
Thanks for the feedback. For this video, I had a gopro set up with a room mic recording everything we did on New Year's Day. But I reviewed the footage and found that I had left the camera on super-wide view from our dirtbike riding. It was great footage, but we looked like we were 2 feet tall and 6 feet wide. 😂 It was hilarious. Next time, I will have it set right. Thank you for being a part of this. I hope you enjoy the build.
Nice going to be a nice ford pick truck
Where did you get that feul tank from for your sniper kit can you send me a link. Thankyou great videos and project.

boxwood green
boxwood green
Leave the white steelies. No wheel covers! You won't regret it, It'll look tougher than tiger shit!
@ronaldrobinson5532 the more I look at it, the more I agree. It's a perfect classic look.
I'm currently wrestling with color choice too. Has to be a factory color in my opinion. Lunar green , swiss aqua , sea pine green (my original color) , sky view blue , boxwood green....like them all but still cant decide! I'm just a little behind you progress wise. Will definitely enjoy watching your progress.
@chevelleranch7481 yea it's a tough call. I love all of the factory colors. But picking one is way harder than expected. Still haven't committed. Thank you for being a part of our channel. I sure would love to see your project as well.
WTF? This was a horrible video, no work just you flapping your gums
Where did you buy this truck looks like a field full of awesome trucks!
As i mentioned in the video, I found it on MarketPlace in an undisclosed location in Idaho. The owner had quite the collection. It was a wonderful experience walking around and seeing all those beautiful American icons. I wanted to buy 2 or 3 more. But I chose the behemoth of the bunch because of the incredible condition of the body.
Where did you buy this truck looks like a field full of awesome trucks!
Nice old truck! I've never been a Ford guy (GMC) but my dad had a '72 F100 Explorer that I cut my teeth on and learned to drive a stick. Take it easy with your "good" shoulder. I had surgery on my left and then while it was healing, I over did it with my right one. Tore the rotator on it also! You don't realize just how small movements, even just moving a finger, can make those shoulders hurt when they're screwed up like that! Best of luck with your surgery, recovery, and with the truck!
Hey, thank you for your kindness. I'll be careful. I want this over with so I can get back to riding dirt bikes!
Well done! I’m deep in my 76 crew cab right now. What wheels are you running? 8x170 or 8x6.5? Thanks!
@MyCarGuyChris that's exciting! I'm running 8 on 6.5. Best of luck on your build! And thank you for being a part of ours.
I would love to see your project!
Is 8x6.5 the factory configuration on those bump sides? I’m going to have to run adapters on mine which I’m not thrilled about. I have a couple videos posted that are about a year old. Way before I sent her off for rust repair. She’s getting the 12v put in now and 4x4 conversion from Battle Born. Hopefully will have some content to post soon!
@MyCarGuyChris yea it is. Same as almost all 3/4 and 1 ton trucks from this era. Adapters aren't terrible if they are installed correctly. Torqued right. I have installed hundreds of them at my shop. Never had an issue. Your project sounds incredible. Hope to see it!
Thanks for the support! I’ll get something up soon and be following yours too. 🙌
Rotor cuff surgery is the worst.........takes for ever to get back to "normal". Great build bro!!
It is rough. But I'm doing great now. And the project is moving forward. Thank you for being a part of it.
Somebody rides for team orange.......... Braaaap!
Heck yea! We are way into riding. KTM rules.
not a hightboy
It will be my version of a highboy. It is so much fun and we are truly enjoying putting this beauty on the road.
Did you take the frame, camper and all to the landfill? Why not a scrap yard?
@corydriver7634 yea. We called every scrap yard, and they wouldn't take it. The landfill services here still separate these types of things out, and they recycle them. It's a similar process.
@@foxtailadventuresRoger that!
What year frame is that? Not a hi boy frame.
@@richp5060 it's a 79 F250 4x4 frame.
Are you going to add a plow onto it? Love the build.
@stevebrooks2925 I hadn't planned on it. We don't live where we need one.
Looking forward to seeing the end result……… Please be careful with those pain meds there highly addicting don’t ask me how I know
@peanutsmith1462 oh, believe me I know all too well. I had recorded a whole thing about that but left it out. I went through hell with opiates and my spinal injuries. Stay away from them at all costs.
That looks like it’s going to be an extremely nice truck if I was going through all the trouble and tearing it down to the frame and having the frame sand blasted and painted all the brackets and everything I would sandblast them and paint them too no sense in half ass doing something Looking forward to the complete build
@peanutsmith1462 agreed. Everything has been media blasted. It's worth it to do it right. I'm so happy the cab is blasted and primed and the floors are complete too.
I wish you were my neighbor!!
Me too, because you could lend a hand while I'm healing up. I'm still getting a lot done. Just not able to do the heavy stuff yet.
Nice! Good luck
Man this build is going to be insane!! You have incredible taste, I can’t wait to see it all come together. I’ve got a survivor ‘76 highboy I’m going to restore someday when I get some money haha
Hey, thanks for your kind comment! I truly appreciate it. And I'm so happy to hear that all of you are just as excited about this build as I am. Just start tinkering on that truck. A little here and a little there. Before you know it, you are driving it over here to Boise to show it off!
@@foxtailadventures haha my truck actually runs and drives ok, just needs the a lot of stuff improved. Im over in SE Idaho. I saw you reppin Klim gear in some of your vids, Its great stuff, that is where I work.
@joeyhoagland860 hey if it runs and drives you're miles ahead of me. Heck yea! We wear a ton of Klim. Best stuff available anywhere. Thanks for being a part of the build. Subscribe and you'll be ready for the next vid!
We have a 71' F-350 that we picked up a few years ago. We have a video of us re- covering the seat. ruclips.net/video/g4zwW77schY/видео.htmlsi=z7BBlGkOy0Cvideo. We ended up removing the original cover before redoing it 🤷 subbed to your channel and looking forward to your future vids.
@JsCrazyCutzLLC Oh awesome. I will check it it out! And thank you for your support and sub!
I love the black
@rockymatthews8643 I really do. It is definitely harder to keep clean, and it tends to show microscratches. A lighter color might be better in the long run.
Really cool I love this truck I'd love to have one like yours
@rockymatthews8643 yes it gets me all excited to keep going and make it special. And that is what I will do. It will be amazing when. I'm done.
Link to the seller that sells that column? Build is going to be nice!
@@joeh1940 drbfab.com/
A Coyote would be nice and there, a nice Coyote. A little bit of power power. I know your rear ends. I know you want to put your but I would get more of your ends for that. There were in offer something like a bottle. She was about a 9090 on there. But you'll be nice and everything else. Because a lot of those old trucks from the mockinhobes, people's getting away from nose and are changing their ribs or something new because a lot of the parts you know, I know JC Whitney carries a lot of different things, but breaking away from somebody who wants to have fun some people. Will suffer, put new stuff on there. Your frame looks good good well already. I know we're framed with an axle and breaks.Let's activation on you and take care of that.Shoulder and go bless
Talk with Rob Montgomery in Mtn Home. He owns Shortys Towing and has a gorgeous blue 79 Bronco and 70's crew cab Ford. His wife has a retro built late 70 also. Prettiest blue I have ever seen, with silver accents.
Cool truck
What are your plans for the Ford hi boy when your finished ? Possibly selling it , I'm Interested for sure ! I like how ur going thru the build one step at a time doing it correctly. Good luck with ur shoulder & Merry Christmas... jim
I plan to make it the best it can be and I plan to keep it.
I like wimbledon white
I do as well. Round and round we go.
Those steel wheels dont have the 4 slots in them either like the originals but they look good
Merry Christmas mate. I will be following the whole building. Thanks for showing us your pups too !! All the best from Calgary Alberta.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. And I'm very happy to hear that you are enjoying my build. Lots of great stuff coming up.
