She is so different to the characters she plays. In films she's usually a hard ass, but in real life she's real soft and sweet.

Sometimes I feel like when people are forced to say “I’m an alcoholic” just keeps them in that state of mind, if you’re recovering then shouldn’t they say something like “I’m a recovering alcoholic” Or “it’s been 20 years ( whatever time it is ) since my last drink” They’re not alcoholics if that haven’t drank … Just saying

It truly has to be up to the people, you can’t force anyone to quit, just support them the best you can without enabling them, it’s a hard balance ! God… pray 🙏🏼 ❤

He sounded like he was slurring his words in this interview. Not sure if he "recovered" as much as he purported. Smoking and alcohol worked against him. He was the best game show host in my opinion.

Once it gets to the point where they have to start plugging AA, than it's all the same. I'm surprised these actors, in these interviews, don't stop and ask the host, if they could start an impromptu AA meeting. I thought these AA guys were supposed to be low key, about their going to it, But now, it seems like every one of them that goes to AA, has to billboard it, as much as they can. That's why I consider it as cultish, by the way it changes all these people and how seemingly rabid they have to become about it. I've never been able to take anyone I know, who goes to AA, anywhere. All they want to do is talk about AA, and nothing else.

John was such a humble man of God . I too lived this life , not only as a musician / entertainer but as a family man . The struggles we go through and the need for acceptance. I searched for years for a church home and finally found it in 2005 , I was 43 . My mother was from Budapest survived WW2 because of her mother who died at 28 . In 87 she was murdered at age 45. I was on the road playing music 24 and my baby sister 13 witnessed it. Shock, disbelief, horror ..to be strong for everyone around me , I drank ...for 25 years until I hit my knees one night crying , screaming and begging God to take it away . Most people dont realize that God ( Jesus ) is real and he sends angels , sometimes in the form of people ( people who truly care ) Thank God for those of us that have that type of compassion. My story is a long one but I can testify that Johnny is absolutely correct. Mans condoning of Alcohol , Pharmaceuticals etc is a ruination of life , not just in America but all over the world. Satan is the biggest deceiver. I was a child in West Germany and came to the states in 66. All I had ( blood ) was my mom . All her family were dead. Can you imagine the pain of trying to survive and raising your children without anyone to help ? Johnny and June were survivors and so am I , Never give up , surrender yes to Jesus but never ever give up until its time for God to call you home. Thank You so.much for this interview. Sincerely Bernd ( Ben*Ben ) Stefan Adler

Drunk parenting in and of itself constitutes abuse because the parent is in an altered state of mind and so parent-child communication breaks down. A child needs an alert and present parent, not one who is vacant and under the influence of a stupefying substance. The child's development is adversely affected by exposure to an intoxicated parent.

The problem her mum had was this: any man she would have a relationship would have flashed on brooke, because she had even more than everything a man can dream of, maturity, kindness, intelligence and stunning beauty. So her mum was condemned to be single and alone. She abused alcohol to forget her misery.
