I bought the Presonus Studio Live16R which is the same thing and it has been amazing except the Aux channels sometimes sum to mono so I need to take them out of stereo to get stereo. Presonus doesn't have great customer service.

I got one to record on Sundays at church. I didn't want to rely on an iPad, so I got the CQ18T. Of course the CQ would be close to the same price of an X18R and iPad. Having the little screen on the mixer makes for quick adjustments. Only doing recording we don't have a need for IEMs.

Me and my band purchased a similar mixer, but from Allen-Heath (CQ-20B) with 4 more jack inputs ( for any line inputs like a Roland drum pad or any other stereo device ) Great mixer whatsoever Can't wait to have another BMM :) Cheers

100% the X18 is the best interface out to record a band right now, and the best mixer FOR THE PRICE. The CQ20 from Allen and Heath is what I recommend to people since it came out but nothing beats the price point of the X18 since Behringer dropped all their prices. Even before the price drop it was too good.

I think some other daw should be the standard like logic or something also school should stop pushing it.

Not to mention the quality of these plugins suck... they still sound scratchy and just degrade the quality of your sound

this is a strech but ive already got a shure sm7b and a scarlet solo 3rd gen however im not getting any audio output would any1 be able to explain why?

Why do you have the faders maxed in console ? Is that something you normally do when setting levels ?

Dont buy from sweetwater. They sold me a factory second, damaged, ir a returned guitar. It has dents bulges and a crack from the factory. You can tell it was made during manufacturing. Sweetwater listed it as new.

How do you add more buses in the buses tab under set up? I always get only 24 buses and would love to add more.

I bought the Solo Heritage edition for recording vocals. I can load many plugins using the Unison technology, but I don’t think I need more than 4 or 5. The problem is when you track with it, everything gets baked in and you can’t adjust any of the parameters in post. So since I’m tracking myself, there’s a lot of trial and error to find the right settings for the preamp, the compressors, the EQ, etc. This video is 3 years old, but if you’re still tutoring, I would like to set something up. 👊

Its crazy how a consumer based society has allowed tech companies to create a “leasing” platform while paying full price. Its a total scam. This is why so many people are going analog again. People need to own what they buy and pay for. Its bs and a scam otherwise. Borderline exploitation and extortion.

Rewatched some of the stream to see some of what I missed and I appreciate all the awesome feedback on the mix I sent in :) Andrei's mix is definitely solid, I can see how he's in the polls because he nailed it so well. Awesome job Andrei (hopefully you see this haha). I agree on the solo being a bit louder but it had a lot of resonance frequencies I fought with and I was running out of time to submit so I had to curb it there. Good luck to all participants! I'm psyched for the next contest! Also, for the drop, I used certain explosion FX to make it hit harder because it felt a bit weak without it and I really wanted to emphasize that transition and its message of "speak out".

pro tools sound cleaner fuller and the high end sounds clear, studio one sounds dull with an exaggerated high end.
