As a former US Navy sailor and a human fn being, this is unforgivable. Between us and the Coast guard, there's ZERO reason these people have to literally walk off into the sea. Its bad enough they're losing EVERYTHING from the fire. And yet I heard in what English I could hear....humor. We should all be so strong as to crack a baptism joke while literally walking into the ocean to keep from burning.

I am the woman in this video with my dog and blind father in law. Getting over the wall recovering from two major back surgeries in the last year and a half, then having to get my FIL who is blind over as well was quite the challenge. Me, JP and Bacon my dog made it. Unfortunately JP did not survive the smoke. After being hospitalized for 5 days and my dog refusing to leave grandpa’s side (my husband had to go down into Lahaina the day after the fire to find our baby) my husband myself, and my dog have finally been reunited. It’s a sad reunion, though because one of our members is gone on top of that, we lost our home and my vehicle as well. I am extremely grateful my husband left a bucket from washing my car in the backseat, and that’s what saved us from severe burns as I continue to pour water on us taking turns, and switching up the rotation, if one of us was catching fire. I am grateful to be alive as many people perished where we were that night. Sadly, the video you see it was just a beginning that was not even anything at that point.

Betcha they used vinyl acetate to help start the fires. They shouldn't use it for clean up and they know it... it reacts with everything especially sulfurs... creating explosive peroxide compounds... I hope the real people of Lahaina nail these sick government bureaucrats to the wall. Get toxicology report from dirt before they clean it all up. See of vinyl acetate is present. Real people from the mainland US are with you and sending many prayers.
