Day 85 & 86 - enjoying a brilliant spot on Lake Tangayika: Jakonsens Beach.

Saying a humble farewell to Rwanda, we headed south in search of Lake Tangayika. Not wanting to pass through Burundi children on board, we made our way back into Tanzania on the longer route round. After a stopover that felt like in the middle of nowhere, we were finally rewarded with a gorgeous introduction to this magical lake.

Traveling south into the rural NYANZA DISTRICT, to visit the old kings palace and the famous Inyambo cows. We stayed in a delightful village guesthouse called Nema House. This was a highlight of Rwanda.

Day 55 and 56 - Courtney (our beloved Landrover) finally arrives.

Days 52 to 54 - GALU BEACH, and a visit to WASINI ISLAND and KISITE MARINE PARK.
