We are Gingersireland, AKA Pat, Elaine and our 3 kids.
We started this channel during lockdown to keep the kids busy and make memories.
Also to share with others places we have visited, in the hope of maybe inspiring you in the same way as videos we watch inspire us to wander further afield than out own backyard.

Davagh Forest walk - The Sperrins Giant

When you need to escape, a forest is the best place to go to for a dopamine hit. Hearing the birds, smelling the earth and feeling the wind just helps to re-center you, and a nice cuppa is the icing oon the cake. Join us as we explore Davagh forst in the Sperrins on it's longest walk at 10K. Maybe you will be inpired to walk in giants footsteps too.

Birthday celebrations take a turn for the worse when I end up in the pillory in Carrickfergus getting stoned for being a witch! Upside is that we spent a beautiful evening overlooking the ocean under a full moon with full bellies sleeping in the back of our Jeep Grand Cherokee. #carcamping #northernireland #tourismireland #islandmageewitches #irelanddarkhistory
