Some birds and other animals today have different traits that tell us whether you have a male or female animal. Some spiders and angler fish have the female being much larger than the male. Many birds have the female smaller with duller colors and the males bigger with beautiful bright colors. Dinosaurs were probably no different. Stuff like this doesn't fossilize well, but using comparative an...

Hum interesting 🤔
Tyrannosaurus Rex eat only meat
It is possible they are some kind of plant for nutritional care.
Hey man I'm sorry about 500 Subs 'cause your videos are actually very good Like you edit The heck out of those videos So I really wish Someday You could probably hit 1000 subs And I believe in you man
Thank you so much! It's comments like these that keep me going! I hope that I can provide some cool content for you guys and, I hope that we can get to that 1,000 subs too!
It is so big that it can eat trees and crush an African elephant
I mean, it’s a plausible theory. I mean the T-Rex is related to the chicken.
The only way the chicken is related to T.rex is that it's a bird. All birds are dinosaurs but not all dinosaurs became birds
There is actually a fruit called the pond apple that the alligator specifically eats from time to time thoough of course they simply do not consume enough plant matter in their diet to be considered omnivores and considering the fact that the non avian dinosaur's relation to crocodilians and birds it is possible that the tyrant lizard king himself could have done this. Also long time no see buddy :)
Oh yes totally understandable for rex to need some kind of plant material but definitely can't be considered omnivorous as well lol. It's been too long!!!
I think why Jurassic hasn't been topped is because their detailed 90s InGen lore! The world trilogy was less interesting
You mentioned they probably had small tufts of hair isn't it more likely they had proto fethers? Because Rex is closer to related to birds
If I said hair, I didn't mean hair. I meant something like downy feathers like in birds, yes
That woman was more mislead than buffaloes being herded off a cliff by native hunters.
Bring back Turok. First, the comics. Then, the games. How about a movie?
i would note that the more agile juveniles and subadults would be much faster. I think Tarbosaurs probably were able to take out injured or juvenile large sauropods, some like Opisthocoelicaudia were likely able to be taken down by a single Tarbosaurus, given they werent anywhere near as big as the biggest Alamosaurus. Not to mention, Tarbosaurus has more evidence for living in groups than T-rex. Oh also, you're very correct to point out the oxygen difference not being significant. People seem to get this confused, oxygen levels weren't that much higher in the Mesozoic than they are today, and possibly lower at some points. During the Carboniferous they were much higher, and this is one of the reasons that large arthropods (not large vertebrates) were able to exist, because creatures like scorpions, insects, millipedes, inhale and exhale gases passively, pretty much through small holes across the body. And this doesnt work at larger sizes, unless there is greater levels of oxygen. So the 'bigger because' oxygen really only applies to arthropods during certain times in the Earth's history, and not vertebrates during the Mesozoic. Land living vertebrates, dinosaurs, mammals, other reptiles etc, actively breath in and out. So their size isnt tied to the passive diffusion of gases in and out of the body like in arthropods, because they are actively controlling the exchange using the lungs. The reasons dinosaurs were able to get so much bigger than large mammals is because they had unique adaptations (hollow bones, more efficient breathing, to name a couple) that allowed them to get bigger. If you were to bring a sauropod to the modern day, they wouldnt suffocate due to lack of oxygen, nor be crushed by their own body weight. Instead they would likely die due to modern diseases, modern climate difference, and a lack of suitable food.
Absolutely wonderful points! 🤘
Wow you replied
Well of course I did! You're comments are valuable to me dude
@kanatigoth crocodiles that could run or walk across ground to follow herds? If you think as a saurapod has just had a herd of the rex take one down, they're running
@@kanatigoth water might be the answer
Hippos massive teeth strong bite force 😅😅
Yeah they do! Super aggressive too
So, no proof of this, but the tiny arms could be used to dig a hole to lay eggs in?
Probably not. They'd more than likely just use their feet for that
@kanatigoth yeah, was speculating, I'm 200 percent wrong, just thought it made sense at the time, Now I'm theorising, and I'm 100percent wrong, but perhaps the tiny arms were like a juvenile state? As in, they walked on 4 legs in the infant stage? They wouldn't have the bite force to break through the tough leathery skin of fallen dinos, so as juvenile they would need claws? Plus let's to be able to dig? Like, it could be an adaption? As in the baby rex was 4 legged until it got to a certain size?
@davehart1027 Lol I like where your head is at but no. We have juvenile t.rex fossils and they have the same proportions as the adults
@kanatigoth dangit, was hoping it was a thing where the arms stopped growing after they got to a certain age, like a frog newt thing? Here's a thought to give you nightmares, What if t rex was like a frog, laid frogspawn, and those tiny arms were used to Crawl onto land, like a reverse turtle scenario? Turtle might be 1 percent right, as in eggs and breaking through and digging
@kanatigoth I am 20 percent correct,? Were talking millions in the past, I cannot explain it, but theoretically rex arms were used at some point?
On rare occasions animals that are considered hyper carnivorous like cats and even alligators will occasionally engage in herbivery. For alligators specifically they have been seen occasionally eating fruit. We don't know why we see this but it does seem to serve some purpose even if it is to supplement there usual diet. I don't think it would be a stretch to say that T-rex also sometimes broke these rules and ate plant material every now and then. If the T-rex were to eat plant material it wouldn't have been for any nutritional value, there would have had to be some other purpose behind it.
Maybe it could have eaten some kind of plants that would settle their stomachs or something that could control acid reflux. Stuff like that
If you think along the lines of they were pack animals, and fed on saurapods, they would need the serated teeth to get through the skin? I'm thinking latch and shake? Maybe even drop and roll? If they had the metabolism of a crocodile, they could wait in water, and ambush. Although that asks the question, would saurapods Need to drink? Getting that kneck down seems a lot of effort, now I need to find out if a brontosaurus just got water from eating leaves, because the climate was different back then, so theoretically they could just eat a massive amount of leaves, covered in water, plus if the eco system is anything like here, they wouldn't just be eating leaves, but all the insects too? I'm going off topic, The small arms were Maybe used to dig holes to lay eggs in? Maybe they were pack animals like lions because a saurapod is too much prey and too much food for 1 t rex?
@davehart1027 Brontosaurus was a genus from the Late Jurassic and wouldn't have been a contemporary of T-rex. T-rex was almost certainly warm blooded to some extent but not to the same extent as birds. T-rexs geographical range included much of Lauramidia. Most T-rex fossils were from north central Lauramidia and it wouldn't have coexisted with any Sauropods there that we know of. However the Sauropod Alamosaurus did have a range that overlapped with the T-rexs range in Southern Lauramidia (today's southwest). As for T-rexs teeth, it is true that they are serrated, but they weren't ziphodont like other Theropod dinosaurs including its closest relative. One of the theories for how large theropod dinosaurs were able to hunt large sauropods was through a practice known as flesh grazing. It is when the predator uses its steakknife teeth to slice through fleshy areas inflicting mortal wounds that would inevitably bleed the Sauropod out. It even allows for the predators to eat a few chunks of flesh before killing the animal. Zyphodont teeth are the best suited for this but T-rexs teeth on the other hand are built more for bone crunching and deep penetration. Adaptations more suited for hunting large armored dinosaurs like tricerotops. It likely wouldn't have been able to bring down an adult alamosaurus by itself. However juvenile alamosaurus would have been vulnerable. I don't know if juvenile T-rexs would had have teeth resembling that of more basal Tryrannosaurids or not but I do know that their body plan did. For the pack hunting aspect it's difficult to say for sure. Group hunting could have been a behavior but that isn't necessarily the same as pack hunting. A large group of tyrannosaurs could possibly gang up to bring down larger prey only to disband later. Pack hunting is very rare in modern animals too. Also many of the large dinosaurs that T-rex hunted would have been slower than them making pack hunting not necessary anyway. Juvenile T-Rex's could have gotten by by filling a different niche than their adult counterparts. That behavior is seen in today's crocodilians.
@@kanatigothThe hippo have massive teeth strong bite. Will kill other animals but is it a meat eater? This girl may be onto something. T rex couldn’t run small arms if it fell over it was good night. Could T rex run and if it fell over how would it get back up?
So you've godda look at the hippo's teeth. It basically has some kinda tusk in the front with molars in the back and no serrations. Not the mouth of something that would eat meat on the daily. T.rex couldn't run, like at all. They did more of a fast walk kinda thing. Only clocking in at about 13-15 mph. If it somehow fell, yeah that'd be damaging but it wouldn't die. It had to sleep at some point right? We have evidence that theropods like T.rex sat down like birds today do. So they had to be able to stand without using its arms. No theropod could put its palm to the ground (pronate) so they may have done a little wrist push or not have used their arms at all to get up.
Why doesn't this have more views? Great video. I love dinosaurs
Thank you! I appreciate it 😊

I have thought of a dinosaur movie which takes place in the morrison formation. The main casts will be 3 apatosaurus brothers, one stegosaurus companion and the stego’s little follower a dryosaurus and the antagonist is a torvosaurus who got his head burnt in a forest fire while he was trying to get out of the burning wood. I planned it to be a traveling movie like disney’s dinosaur but unlike that movie i plan that 2 of the apatos brothers would die and for one of the two brother apato’s dead i was planning it would look like Little Foot’s mother’s death but unlike that, half of the apato’s body will be in a moat while the his upper torso and beck will be on a flat terrain next to his dying body will be one of the brothers and across the moat will be a megapack of allosaurs
this just in, t-rex found to be first in transgender affirming surgery, voting democrat and having a diet consisting mainly of soylent green

Looks like an edmontosaurus *sorry if i spelled saurus wrong
You spelled it right! It might be... Edmontosaurus was found in southern Canada and there have been some specimens of acrocanthosaurus up in Wyoming, so it's possible! But edmontosaurus was a hefty beast...
Ceratosaurus seems more comfy
I'm sure if you had a saddle for it, you'd probably have to mold the underside like a sports mouthpiece for those ostioderms on its back. Or even some kind of crevasse that cushions them
Ceratosaurus
Why ceratosaurus?
Well obviously because it's much heavier and therefore can carry more weight then cryolophosaurus, not to mention it's much bulkier.
That's a great point!

I have a thirst for more dinosaur films other than Jurassic Park/World. I would be down for a 65 sequel, or a The Lost World or The Valley of Gwangi remake. I absolutely love Peter Jackson’s depiction of Skull Island, and I wish there were more dinosaur films like that. I don’t care what it is or who makes it (as long as it’s not a cheaply made Asylum film 💀💀💀), just GIMME MORE DINOSAURS RAAAAAAAWWWRR
On second thought I changed my mind bout the 65 sequel
3:15 once again.. dinoverse might be a perfect fit.
Ive got a dino horror movie for ya. Hear me out... A small town in the US (or anywhere really) gets uprooted and thrown back in time to the age of dinosaurs. So now you've got a survival horror movie about people desperately trying to survive and stay alive in this horrible, scary, alien world with dinosaurs stalking and picking them off.
Absolute W We already got those realistic dinosaur simulator games, like path of titans and the isle, and even prior extinction on Roblox. Now we just need a movie instead of a game.
Correct! 💯
here's something that might work...an adaptation of SCOTT CIENCIN'S *DINOVERSE* ! it is a (very obscure) book series from 1999-2000 written by the late Scott ciencin. And the main premise is centred around teenagers who through some strange science-ish accident have their minds/souls taken out of their respective bodies transported millions of years into the mesozoic, and then placed into random pre-existing dinosaurs (think of it as like a strange form of possession rather than full on transformation) And from there... it's a bit like if you combined the recent jumanji films with a slightly more mature land before time, in that the group now has to work together, face many types of dangers, overcome their personal issues, and learn hard life lessons that they otherwise might not have been able to, ultimately brining them closer together as friends as they try to make it back to the present or be suck in prehistoric times. In fact i'm kinda working on that sort of idea as a personal hobby project, if you'd like to check it out... - www.deviantart.com/taliesaurus/gallery/71952606/dinoverse-fan-art
What about of weird birds arg it's practicality prehistoric creatures taking over and the protagonists are trying to survive

It’s a type of online story! There’s a few good readings of it here on RUclips

I'd be down for an adaptation of Ricardo Delgado's Age of Reptiles (with less of the anthropomorphism from the earlier books).
maybe make it into a franchise such that each sequel has nothing to do with the previous movies and no mascot dino bringing that franchise....any one or two species can be the face ( good guys, including the carnivores) or heel ( villains, even amongst the herbivores) and enough of those 2-4 year gaps between sequels ( we're getting older people!)...and have each movie ending set-up a teaser for the next, making it a new movieverse and..... no humans! or tie-in toylines!
yeah... easier said than done.
i heard therw will be a dino movie abt vietnam soldiers fighting dinos bcuz some weapon had the byproduct of opening time rifts or smthin like that, can't wait for it!

Yes the books are awesome. And there are more being written. Hoping the movie will be everything we wanted JW Dominion to be.

@@kanatigoth It might feel off in a time with more modern dinosaur designs in media, but it could put spotlight on outdated dinosaur designs.
also with that i would love megaraptor or even maip being implemented to a movie.
That's what i been saying trust me i love the Jurassic franchise but if we could get a movie like dino crisis or even something like a planet of the apes type movie but with dinosaurs. Humans being outnumbered by the prehistoric creatures, having cities in ruin and them just trying to survive with these creatures would be crazyyyyy.
