Karijini Part 2 - The amazing Hancock Gorge and Kermits Pool then Weano Gorge and Handrail Pool
In this video we tackle Hancock Gorge which is a Class 5 walk and they say a 1.5 km round trip and allow 2 hours. Well it is treacherous with near vertical steps, steep narrow gorge sides, icy waters to wade and swim through and extremely slippery rocks so take care. This gorge has the highest number of injuries in Karijini NP and one of our team slipped and fell and broke 4 ribs !
But it is all worth it as the tight gorge sections and Kermits Pool is like its from another planet and stunningly beautiful, together with Hamersley Gorge this is our favourite gorge out of the Kimberley and Pilbara. At the end of the video we show a little of Weano Gorge and Handrail Pool we hope you enjoy !

Karijini Part 1 - Dales Gorge, Fortescue Falls and Fern pool

When we visited Karijni we started by Camping at the Dales Gorge campground which is a great place to stay, its very beautiful and not far from the Information Centre. We did the Dales Gorge walk and checked out Fortescue Falls, walked the gorge and had a great swim in Fern Pool. Karijini is such a unique, special and ancient National Park and would be our favourite out of the Kimberley and Pil...

Whats more iconic then riding camels on Cable Beach in Broome close to sunset ? Broome is a fantastic place to visit in the Kimberley, there is so much to do and lots of shops, cafes and restaurants as well.
The Gibb River Road Part 5 - Bell Gorge

Bell Gorge is just another gorge ? Well its very different to the rest, in fact every gorge in the Kimberley is totally unique. We camped at Silent Grove and Bell Gorge is just a short drive from there. The walk into the top of the gorge is very easy, with the walk down to the bottom of the falls a little challenging with a steep climb and descent with some rock hopping. Next we visit Broome an...
The Gibb River Road Part 4 - Galvin's Gorge - Maybe the Most Beautiful Waterfall on the Gibb

Galvins Gorge is maybe the most beautiful waterfall along the Gibb River Road in the Kimberley. It's a short distance from Manning Gorge, it’s only small gorge and just a short walk in from the carpark which is right on the Gibb River Road. It also has a great water hole for a cool swim. The walk in from the carpark takes about 30 minutes and is an easy walk. Next we visit Bell Gorge and after ...

Theres also a campground and the near by Mt Barnett Roadhouse which also has a sh...

The Gibb River Road Part 2 - Is the PENTECOST River Crossing a Caravan Stopper ?

Is the Pentecost Crossing on the Gibb River Road a Caravan stopper ? Well it can be if the track is chewed up from a Road Train a few weeks earlier watch to find out. The Gibb River Road Part 1 - El Questro - Zebedee Springs, Amalia Gorge, Emma Gorge, Waterfalls

Not every one likes El Questro with some saying that it is too crowded and over commercialised, but the gorges are just stunning ! We checked out Zebedee Hot Springs, Amalia Gorge, Emma Gorge and other sights as well. The road in was very rough and corrugated but no worse than the Gibb River Road and there were several water crossings, any 4WD and most caravans will make the trip in OK.

Good on Fraser, very enterprising! Watching those wading in knee-deep water and some with dogs, and wondering if they realise it's Saltie paradise! Went through there some years ago in a Unimog when the river was still flowing, impossible to see depth/obstacles/etc and at one time the 'Mog almost tipped over when the wheels dropped off the edge. About a dozen (or more) Salties watching, but more would have been lurking. Fraser wasn't around back then!
