He's a Asshole
I think some people had a bad reaction to what he’s saying about stl because Darius isn’t from here. Just like family, I can talk shit about my city all I want, but if you’re not from here and you’re talking shit, you can go fuck yourself 😂. One thing about stl, it’s extremely unpretentious and frowns upon pretentiousness. This foodie shit reeks of pretentiousness. It’s just not authentically us. You’re gonna have to invest in this black community here before you can talk shit about black-owned restaurants here. I’ll wait for him to open those restaurants here and then respect his opinion. This ain’t Nashville where the culture is fake af. Stl has its strengths and weaknesses. Respect what’s authentic here and people will be more open to criticism.
COMING FROM CHICAGO TO ST. LOUIS, ST. LOUIS IS SO NICE. EVERYONE IS NICE. MY DADDY IS FROM THE SOUTH SIDE OF CHICAGO AND HE WAS WORRIED ABOUT WEARING A CUBS SHIRT. I SAID, "DAD, EVERYONE HERE IS NICE, NO ONE IS GOING TO ATTACK YOU." HE WAS SURPRISED. EVERYONE HERE IS, REALLY IS, NICE. HE DIDN'T EVEN GET A SIDE EYE FOR HIS SHIRT. 😂. ST. LOUIS INVENTED, OR I HEARD, ICED TEA AND TOASTED RAVIOLI. DARIUS SHOULD BE TOLD THAT. THE WORLD FAIR THESE WERE INVENTED. THE HEAT CREATED ICE TEA TO HELP THE PATRONS OF THE WORLD FAIR FROM FAINTING AND PASSING OUT. AND THE TOASTED RAVIOLI WAS "FINGER FOOD". EASY TO EAT WITH DIPPING SAUCE ON THE SIDE. THERE YOU GO. TWO ST. LOUIS INVENTIONS. ADD SUGAR TO THE ICED TEA IF YOU WISH, DON'T IF YOU RATHER NOT. I LIKE TEA OR COFFEE WITH A LITTLE SWEETNESS, BUT NOT ALL THE TIME. MY FRIEND FROM ENGLAND WAS APPALLED TO RECEIVE ICED TEA IN NOVEMBER FOR HIS "MUM" IN CHICAGO. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. ST. LOUIS ISN'T FAR ENOUGH SOUTH FOR "SWEET TEA". SORRY, DARIUS. WE HAVE ENOUGH DIABETES ISSUES. THE "DARK CLOUD" IS THE HUMIDITY HERE (MY BASEMENT HAS BLACK MOLD IN IT... EVERY HOME WILL BE CONDEMNED IF WE TALK ABOUT BLACK MOLD)! 😂. TOO STICKY IN THE SUMMER. THE CLOUD GOES AWAY IN THE SPRING AND FALL (DARIUS, COME IN THE SPRING, THE TREES BLOOM AND SMELL WONDERFUL! THE FALL ALL THE BIRDS ARE MIGRATING AND MOVE THROUGH HERE). SO BEAUTIFUL HERE. ST. LOUIS HAS A LOT OF WONDERFUL THINGS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW. EVEN THE RESIDENTS DO NOT KNOW. ST. LOUIS IS PRETTY GREAT ❤. A HIDDEN GEM... IF ONE CAN SURVIVE THE HEAT AND STICKY HUMIDITY IN LATE JULY AND EARLY AUGUST. WHEW! SWEATY TIMES! HANG IN THERE... IT'LL PASS. 😮
Sunny brought him on her show and introduced him as her good friend on food network
Kaye is the goat🔥💪
🌈
New subbie from STL. I understand your view Darius we do have some issues. We need more things here and more positivity. i just can't help but have a deep connection with where I live. Hopefully your critiques will help motive our restaurant owners here.
This is another case of if you don't understand the global system of white supremacy everything else will confuse you. Kudos for recognizing the "dark cloud", though in actuality that's the easy part. Having knowledge of the history and current socio-political climate of St. Louis is needed to dissmantel the "dark-cloud" No, this is not about "blaming da wyte man" this is about the intricacies of generations of oppressions on every level, for a multitude of groups and the status quo. St. Louis COULD be a lot of things. It's is not any of those things and (if you knew St.Louis history you would know) that is not for a lack of effort. It is because people in power keep it that way and have for generations. This has been my TED Talk.
We need a video
I use to live in Chicago but I now relocated back in the metropolitan area of STL. I will have to agree with him with the lack of. The food scene is scarce for Black-owned restaurants. When I find and show support, they can’t seem to keep their hours of operation flowing consistently or they close-up. Even with the African/Jamaican black international restaurants, the food is basic as hell and their hours of operation is deceptive. I am too disappointed with the food scene in STL.
How is BLISS restaurant in Florrissant Missouri which is Black 🖤 Man and Black Woman ♀️ Owned ❤.. Saying hello from Chicago Illinois 😊
Great Shout-out to KC MO!!! Just Saying
Black Community In 1975 thru 1979 when I was in college was Super Progressive. I am from STL.
It was so cool being able to catch up with Iyanna - thanks again for watching!
A lot of lazy people reside in the STL.
Yeah, that’s why they call it huSTLe city right..
Is it crazy to be soooo happy that she found her thing and left that man alone? I love to see her light shine! Go Iyanna!
I just love Iyanna’s personality, she reminds me so much of me. I just feel that she’s an authentic person, I am glad to see that she’s doing well ❤
oh my gosh I love Iyanna!! Definitely one of my fave seasons of Love is Blind!
Maaaaaaan stop the smacking!! 😩🙄🤦🏽♀️
While I’ve just started to watch this video, I’ve seen the others from his visit in our city. However, I will agree with him regarding the culinary food scene in the Lou! It’s drab to say the least especially in the Black spaces compared to other cities. But let me also say, I can only take some of what he says to heart because the worst thing for me is to talk with someone about food and they are smacking! Yiiiiiiiiikes…it’s disgusting, 🤢 rude and downright a turn off to watch.
I jusy came across this, nice.
Glad to stumble across this.
Kaye is a beast

All day and twice on Sunday. When I tell has been humbled… believe it…he’s still a scammer hands down
Darius cook stole other people recipes?
Wait what? Don't get useless degrees? Don't go to college 😂
AI will replace coders. Liberal art Degrees teaches critical thinking, processing disparate information to create a coherent train of thought vital in the Information Age, ability to think out philisophical questions that determine political agendas, societal pathways, a grasp of language enables them to comprehend and adapt numerous career trajectories. They also have a very broad upstanding of history, and human psychology that equips them to make better leaders and visionaries and decision makers. Liberal art degrees is a classic education , a solid foundation for life long learning. Coding is coding and should be done at TAFE along with other narrow, limited professions. You guys have such a narrow understanding of the purpose and utility of a very good classic education. Poor you.
If you have a set plan of what you want to do in life, and have planned ways to work towards it, then just get whatever degree you actually want to do... like don't waste time and money on something you don't enjoy and don't want to do just so you're 'more employable'. And if you don't want to get a degree - train in a trade instead! Also, liberal arts degrees can be relevant as long as you know what you want to use it for. Above all, getting a job regardless of qualifications can be so difficult so don't make life worse by choosing the wrong path!
Except we have so many people with CS degrees, that many can’t find decent jobs. Don’t get into CS, unless you want to go for PhD. Do something else
Coding does NOT equal computer science and thats why most of them drop out midway
If you cant do long term, join the trades. Plumbing, HVAC, Automotive, theyre all about to hit a wall on workers because a majority of their workforce is older. 😊
As someone with a cs degree, these guys are waffling
Spoken like real experts …
Dante! I love this podcast YOU BETTER NOT STOP IN THE NEXT 3 YEARS! I challenge you to get 500 subscribers by the end of August 2024! You can do it!
What you two said about networking and building relationships is so important. My biggest regret in my younger years was not networking more. The vast majority of my success came from the relationships I had and not from my skills. Skills can ALWAYS be learned I didn't have them already. This is especially true considering that I'm doing something that doesn't need a degree to do.
LISA
It’s 10000% simple. Ain’t shit gona happen until crime is fixed .
