@@MundoIorio What's the difference quickly in your opinion? I've seen retirees use the word expat as well as younger people, mostly European/American descent. This is a total social construct that is meant to separate the wealthier and whiter people from the stigma and association of immigrants being brown and black.

Its because of people that say ignorant things and dont respect the local culture that in places like medellin that they have a movement against gentrification . Saying that would be equal to the people that come to us and take down our flag and have 0 desire to embrace the us culture when in the states and id assume you dont care for people that do such things . At least the music there isnt about vulgarities and promoting gang banging and filled with lyrics about sex , drugs , and hate like much of the modern music in the us . But have a good day , i would assume you dont understand the lyrics anyways. Stay under the rock in which you live and you wont have to worry about being kidnapprd nor embracing any cultures other than what you know .

Its great that you try and show ppl the positive vibe of the vast majority of ppl in colombia and other countrys , i find it strange how many peoole that never have spent any time in a beatiful country like colombia that only have watched narcos or see the negative stuff and have a very limited knowledge of the warm and friendly ppl in places like colombia opposed to the closed minded and caring mostly about $$ that we have in the us . Youre doing a great thing with your channel . Its sad that people like curt kaz and tim the guy from greece concentrate thier channels on the women and most dangerous barrios of latam . Keep doing you man . Your videos show the actual amable people in latam yet you dont get the 100s of thousands of views that those guys get . You will . Keep building the good vibes that most people who travel to latam know that go to enjoy the culture . Thumbs up man

Hi Steven, unfortunately, there is one, but I will never tell anyone where it is. This will keep them away from it. I keep it family friendly, since my family lives in Latin America and they watch all my videos. Those guys are destroying our image to Colombians. Over time, they will think we are all that way.

Hi Giannoni, great question. Medellin will be the most fun, Cali will have the best salsa and best Afro-Latinas. Armenia will be the coldest, so for expats that do not like the heat, this area is best for them, it is also cheaper than the other 2 cities. However, you can get bored in Armenia, but if you hit the gym, have an 8 hour a day online job and a girlfriend; I am sure you will keep yourself busy.

Yes, I was in Barranquilla, Cali and a bunch of other Colombia Departments. Colombia is wonderful. I also travel to Santo Domingo a lot. Colombian law only allows me to stay in Colombia for a maximum of 180 days on a tourist visa. I have not problem with that, since I have options. The only problem is that flights are more expensive these days.

Shopping here is awesome, the people here give great customer service. Also, people in the street will help you flag a taxi, if your hands are full. Sometimes, they will even walk you home. No joke. this area is old school.

Hi Jesus, it is completely different than in 2008. Prices have gone up quite a bit, and Colombians are more modernized, making it a different landscape for Expats. However, I feel it is a good choice to come and see it again.

That said youre smart to not haggle over a couple of mil pesos with someone you dont know who they may be connected to and have been known to delete ppl for what they believe is disrespect ,. The thing that i wish i could educate the minority of colombians and venozuelanos is that not all gringos are wealthy or even middle class and by thier standards . Some of us are pretty poor from the eeuu and just trying to get by and also want to be treated fairly when out of natural born cohntry i mean you never will see a us store or festaurant charging an immigrant more . So yeah , as much as like colombia and the culture. They should educate thier children that not all gringos are rich nor to take advantage of ppl that arent beyond a b2 level of spanish or that are extranjeros .
