You Don't really Need a Capacitor on these Low Amp welders just a 150amp rectifier is all you need for DCEN i have converted a few and tested with Capacitor 30K-50K uf and without and there was no real Noticeable Diffidence , One other upgrade i do on there welders is replace the 16ga AC Power cord to a 14ga or Better 12ga cord .

I have a 2006 Odyssey. Drain plug is facing the driver side. I had a hard time finding it.

Hello. Did you need to do any upgrades with the compressor to use it for air? Which oil did you use in?

I measured the oil that came out the first time I did this. So now i always add 3.3 new quarts back. I use a plastic turkey baster from Dollar General. That fill plug on the transmission is essentially impossible to get to and surrounded by filth. The first time i did this i reused the washer. Engine oil plug washer is not the same and using a new one of them was the plan. Old washer worked okay but use a new one. I also bought a short torque wrench so i can torque it. Around 30 foot pounds, same as the engine oil plug.

La dernière fois, le concessionnaire a changé le réservoir sous garantie pour 1000$… je trouve que c’est inacceptable car c’est un problème connu et fréquent. Du moins, merci. On verra avec le temps si la solution est permanente ou pas.

There is a surplus store near my house where I'll be able to get everything I need at a very low price. I w been told that the Honda odyssey is one of the few vehicles that the atf must be checked hot BUT with the vehicle turned OFF, as opposed to most other automatics where you check fluid level while idling in park. I noticed you did with it running. Is the information I got from the Honda mechanic wrong? Thanks for your video!

I built one at work with some HD diodes from a retired forklift battery charger. Used it to do scratch start TIG with my Lincoln Tombstone Welder. Have you tried to run scratch start TIG with yours?

Your plus and minus line on a sine wave aren’t +120 a -120v. That’s RMS (root mean square). Peak voltage is about 170v ac. RMS voltage ac is .707 x peak voltage (170), or to find peak voltage, use the formula RMS X 1.41. ~ maybe too “techie” for a welder conversion, but interesting nonetheless. PS. Love the conversion. I’ve done it myself. Makes a cheap welder much more useful. 👍

I’m in the middle of doing this, I cut the wires after the ac supply to the board as you did but I’m not getting any voltage on those. Any idea why?

I have a large funnel with a valve and a hose, and the end just pops into the tranny fill, and I can fill it pretty precisely. The funnel has capacity marks on it to make life easier.

I took a hammer and beat on the bottom of the tank where the filler hose goes in, and it freed the check valve, No problems after that!

A nice solution for the funnel in the dipstick: create an aluminum foil funnel that will fit in the dipstick

There are several comments about changing the filter. In 2005 - 06 Gen 3 Odysseys there is an external filter that should be replaced. In 2007 they went to a different (actually more robust) transmission, the same as is in the Ridgeline, which does not have a filter that a user can replace. This is the case for the 2010 Odyssey in this video. Also, Valvoline Maxlife is an ATF recommended by many people on the Odyclub forum. I used it last time about 18 months ago, the first time I replaced it on my own, and it has worked great with smooth shifting. It's time to change the ATF again, and I'll continue using it this time as well. It cost $26 for a 1 gallon jug at Walmart.
