Great video.. was their a ground wire connected to the Gibson quick connect pcb?

If both cost $300 USD I'll take the authentic Gibson, but seeing that isn't the case, I'll take the replica.

Just a tip for anyone following this. Ream the holes for the new tuners from the rear of the headstock to begin with, you’ll get a much more snug fit.

Dude this is so good. I love my classical but stopped playing it because I couldn't get it to sound stable after restringing it (I tried many times!) this video has sorted me right out my guitar sounds lovely.

If you're sharp when you tighten the locking nut then you need to lower your retainer bar. So, take the locks off and see if part of the string is "floating" on the head side of the nut. Lower the bar until the string is fully flushed against the nut. Now when you lock you should not be sharp because you're no longer pulling on the string when you lock.

Do you do the adjustment to the Allen adjustment on the d tuna after the nut is locked ?

Every chibson firebird that has come through ny shop also has a slightly smaller body than a Gibson or Epiphone firebird . I've compared and measured at least 15 of them so far, some were also various models and finsihes Every Chibson had a smaller body

Arent you supposed to lock first and THEN turn the key?

Just bought one of those for $100. It stays in tune. First thing I did was paint the pickup surround black. The guy I bought it from had it professionally set up that's what I like about used guitars.

Would anyone here know what the sizes are for the normal screws for the other strings? Or which floyd model uses the same string lock screws? I have a guitar that came with a d tuna and i just want to get rid of it. It's crazy how long ive been trying to figure this out and i dont want to buy the wrong size.
