Orchid Island Spotlight #36 | ❄️ Winter on Orchid Island ☃️

June Bug has transformed her entire Orchid Island into a winter scene. The most simple way to do this is to replace all of your grass tile for snow and your pathways for the snowy cobblestone paths and ski paths (all three of which are in the permanent shop). My favorite part of JuneBugs Island is her Christmas tree farm corner! #junesjourneygame #junesjourneysets #junesjourneydesign

Very pretty and joyfully festive. Merry Christmas!
Very good information.💜 Merry Christmas to you and all subscribers!☃️❄️🎄💜
Merry Christmas!
Thank you
You're welcome. Thanks for stopping by.
I agree I wish they could turn like the train etc or transfer the buildings that we collect coins .
You continue to amaze me with your creativity. Because of you I, for the first time, cleared a space on Orchid moving all my German set to another island and waiting for the botanicals from Jan, etc. I almost had a heart attack seeing my flower count skyrocket but it all worked out. I decided to keep Orchid a botanical theme. Thanks for all your hard work!
So glad it's been helpful! I'd love to see what you've come up with.
Great re-design, thanks for the sneak preview too. ❤
Super excited about the new decorations coming out!
I love the photos of Snowdrop...beautiful ❤ I have such a difficult time decorating that island. I just started redecorating for Spring and I'm using Snowdrop as Storage🤷♀️
I think a lot of players use that same strategy. I have only half of it decorated and the top is also used for storage for now. 😁
Thank you!! Lovely island and great video!
That maze is beautiful 😍
@@BestBecky78 yep! Super creative! I get so much inspo from these Spotlight videos I post!
Super beautiful and creative. Thank you!
How did you get all that space?😍
I only purchase seasonal set and shop decorations that I actually want to use, I wait to level up until it's a HW tasks to boost my rewards, I earn flowers in other ways like sending Jack out and earning challenge rewards, and I focus on at least 1 really high flower count deco per month on top of seasonal set purchases.
I am just starting and you make sense,
Glad these are helpful. 😊
The snow covered log fence that you have to purchase for 20 diamonds (I see you have a couple on snowdrop) are also designed to connect with your log arch doorway. You probably already are aware that if you don’t connect them, they appear as beautiful red bushes encircled by logs.
Yes. You can see the connected arch version in my video that shows the completed seasonal set. Since that video, I was able to get two more to use as planters.
This video shows them connected with the arch as well as sneak peaks at February. ruclips.net/video/Q4R78Fpoa38/видео.htmlsi=4V_LrmHW0Az-CmFY
Didn’t see those videos I just happen to come across your first. Winter is my favourite collection.
I really like the decorations from this year's set as well as all of the extra challenge rewards they've given!
I just saw today a repost from a player who shows how a snow bunny appears when you connect two pieces of the snow covered log fence together vertically. I re-created it. It’s such a cute gem
I usually earn 309 badges before opening the investigation, and then I look for sectors that offer badges so I can play 3 to 4 rounds on day one. Of course the game is harder as the amount of badges increases, I am currently at 16 badges with all 3 sector games left. It is impossible to complete and I play on a team but we can never finish all 3 rounds.
If you can earn that much before drink time, you can get up to 700ish on your first time clicking investigate. If teammates give badge drinks that is. 😊
I was wishing and hoping the kid making the snow angel would make a comeback this year, either to purchase in the seasonal set or side games. 😢 it’s adorable! I love that it moves. I love the purple buildings w the water surrounding it. So calming and beautiful.
@@MariamSRE yes, always love the animated decos!
Thank you very much for sharing this! I feel better prepared for my island planning and am thrilled by the Spanish Moss tree! ❤❤❤
Me, too!
OMG The fountains, pond and tree with birds!!!!! Thank you for sharing ❤🎉❤
You're so welcome!
I'm hoping the waterfall/pond and birds in the tree are challenge rewards and not sale items!
Any thoughts about the new Orchid Society? I have not looked too far into it... Christmas rushing...haha! Oh! And I have just received the compass to say that I am getting close to starting on an island! Thanks for all of your tips and advice!!!!
So exciting to get your first new island! Perfect timing, too with Mexico coming. It's a great set for Sunflower.
Orchid Society will eventually be for everyone. It's just a way to split players into groups with a host who can answer questions, give additional gifts, etc. You get an additional Sweep the Board weekly as well as an extra daily gift.
Our team only has 2 or 3 active members, but I'm slowly inching toward purchasing something nice with my tips! 😊
A lot of good basics here! A couple things that I've discovered is that you can only offer up to 5 drinks per day. Also, you can only give 2 blue ribbon drinks per day. And for strategy, the more drinks you offer up, the more they are worth. So if you are going for Ace or Sherlock, it's important to offer your blue ribbon drinks last so they are worth the most for your team. On a funny note, when I first started, I thought only 1 person got each drink, lol! I wondered how it was supposed to work. Then I got on a good team and figured it out quick.
Yes, good call. I forgot to mention that the value also goes up for coins and ribbons not only the cost of diamonds.
Thank you for these basic videos , they definitely help newbies and some of us who have been playing for awhile.
Happy to help. I remember how overwhelming it all can be at first. Lots to learn and remember.
For single how many badges? 2 sector how many badges? 3 sector how many badges? Just wanted to know so I know what sector I can play.
It depends on how many badges required per play. If you need 12 badges per play, you will need about 120 for a single sector, 300 for a double, and close to 500 for a triple sector.
Is snow drop the second island? I’m still on orchid and I’m stuffing the winter decor in a corner because it doesn’t match the rest of my island. It’s been such an eyesore and need a snowy place for them.
Sunflower is the second island, then you get Laurel Island followed by Willow then Snowdrop. You are going to have to be patient, I'm afraid. Store your snowy things on your boat, and only use them stacked against mist when you need to advance.
@ thank you! Omg that’s a lot of work sheesh
@@LadyCadenceIsland I'm in the same situation as Im a Ducky. Only been playing for a few months so still working things out and still on the first half of Orchid Island., and they're also stuffed into a corner. If we store the winter decor on the boat wont that take the flower count needed sky high? And if so is the only way out of it to continue buying decorations :) :). By the way your island is absolutely beautiful and you definitely have a gift for decorating.
@@Ann-my1dg You will want to store as many unwanted decorations stacked together right up against the mist while you are trying to clear space on your islands. Storing items in the boat takes away the flower count. It's helpful to store decorations when you are ahead on stars and can keep them there until you need to level up. Then, you can place something and put it back on the boat after. But, early on in the game, you'll need to have all your decorations available on your islands and unwanted stacked right up to the mist.
@@Ima_Ducky_XD I've been playing for over a year now, so yes it does take time. But, no need to race through the game. Only get decorations you actually want to use and be sure you are getting high flower count items.
OMG. I am from New Orleans…. Grew up in Louisiana! Need to be ready for THAT !
That will be super fun for you! I would try to save up at least 120,000 coins to get 1 of everything plus a couple extra trees.
Be sure to check out the full mockup video here: ruclips.net/video/oqbRNEgdVhI/видео.htmlsi=C_OHZQnOAL4GMwMT
Oh boy! I saw that purple tree and LOVE! My family says I'm a purple fanatic!😂 And they aren't weong!💜
They really are so beautiful!

Your tips on spear grass were eye-opening🌾

Great breakdown on earning blue ribbons🎗️Super helpful👍
Glad it was helpful!
Loving these insights🕵️♂️Can't wait to help my team climb up the ranks.
Thanks for the motivation!
I’ll take thirty of those purple trees, please!! 😂 💜
Right? Love them! My mockup video of Mexico and New Orleans posts tomorrow morning around 11:00ish. Already planning for 4 of them at least on Sunflower not counting other islands! 😅
NOW i know why people are saving speargrass.. I'm a bit slow..lol. Also, you guys aren't a competitive team, but you have those Sherlocks. I'm on a competitive team, and we have no Sherlocks. There are only 3 of us that play hard. Maybe 3 that play a sector or two, and 3 don't play CM at all. Drinks are shared willy nilly throughout the day, but they don't come back to share drinks at meeting time. If you miss the shared drinks during the day🤷♀️ I've tried chatting about it, but the bulk of the group doesn't even chat. It's been pretty frustrating. I wish our leader would do something about it. Probably going to make a change next month.
@@KarolM1964 those were earned over a year ago before I was on the team. There has been a big shift in our team since then, and now we usually do get Ace, but that's just because most of us play regularly. We never come close to winning at Club Mysteries, and many of us only play one of the weekly comps. They are not required.
@KarolM1964 also, you should definitely find a different team that's a good fit and actually communicates. So important when on a team! We set our team to application for this reason so we don't get random people placed who don't communicate. If someone doesn't respond to direct communication in the lounge within a couple of days, they are removed. That's new players, of course, not longstanding team members who might have something big going on in their lives.
@@LadyCadenceIsland Thank you for your advice.. I've been looking at a couple of different teams already.
But you missed the most important way to get blue ribbons. Drinks...stacking drinks!
I mentioned drinks a couple of times in this video. It's one of the ways for sure to get ribbons. I'm going to do a whole separate video on drinks time on its own. This was just to share the basics of league and the basics on ways to get ribbons.
Wow I just found this article me too sold and now I have to get flowers too. Ugh😮
I hope you found it helpful. Let me know if you have questions.
I am at a standstill clearing mist. We were about the same level and you zoomed ahead of me! Any helpful hints??? Love what you did on Snow Drop. I have less cleared mist but totally agree whith your plan not to over buy except for those gorgeous trees. Loving that you are now getting peeks at Jan & Feb. So helpful in planning.
Saving up for a good couple of weeks at the end of each month is really key for me. That was a ton of flowers getting all of the set plus 2 extra trees. I put a lot on my boat, then leveled up only when I needed to for HW tasks to complete challenges. This let me plow through DNs and FFs during this first week while continuing to save coins. I actually was able to save up enough coins for my greenhouse which is now building on Willow. Of course, sending Jack out for flowers and coins helps, earning decos from challenges, and drinks and bushes also greatly help.
That was fun to watch! Even you buying the items was satisfying, haha. I don’t know about you, but I have my eyes on the Summit Cottage in the De Ja Vous shop. It comes out Dec 12th to ‘buy’ with points. That would look super cute on snowdrop and is a different building than all the rest! You can create a scene just surrounding the cottage ❤
There are some really cute things coming out that I'm super excited for! 🥰
Looks geeat. I know I will get another tree and one more house.💜
Yes, love the trees. Will probably get a couple more before the month is out.
Louisiana??? We are going down to the bayou?
Yep! Hope to post a mockup video with my plans for Sunflower using the Mexico and New Orleans set this coming week.
@ I am super excited!!!! It is nice to see new and different stuff coming out, but still keeping some classics.
