Sonny & The Sunsets - Primitive
Просмотров 2,1 тыс.10 лет назад
Sonny & The Sunsets are the energetic accompaniment to the dynamic workings of Sonny Smith. Adopting a range of sounds including '50s and '60s pop, old-time country, folk, and much more Smith's sardonic, laid-back style is interwoven throughout his compelling songwriting and vocals. What results is an ensemble stripped of superfluous noise that provides perfect accompaniment for Smith's vintage...

ASIMOV - Stars are but wishes

Slowly brewing across decades, ASIMOV finally rears its head, split into two projects. ASIMOV FOLKWAYS, which dwells in folkish blues excursions and ASIMOV, a classic rock meets psych boogie juggernaut mixture. Recording haphazardly since 2002, only in 2010 does Asimov start releasing EP's (Asimov Stenar Musik; Asimov Folkways) and performing live.

After their debut and sophomore albums, the group quickly turned to a broader style of psychedelic rock incorporating folk, blues, raga, and later, electronica influences. Galaxy 500 - Strange
Просмотров 12 тыс.11 лет назад
Though criminally overlooked in their own lifetime, Galaxie 500 later emerged as one of the pivotal underground groups of the post-punk era; dreamy and enigmatic, their minimalist dirges presaged the rise of both the shoegazer and slowcore movements of the 1990s. Lyrics: Why's everybody actin' funny? Why's everybody look so strange? Why's everybody look so nasty? What do I want with all these t...

The Warlocks are an American rock band based out of Los Angeles. Their music has been defined as neo-psychedelia, but much of it spans multiple genres. Bobby Hecksher has previously played with Beck. Upon visiting Anton Newcombe, of whose work he was a fan, he moonlighted in The Brian Jonestown Massacre, for whom he played guitar and bass. Skater Dater movie thing. Why does America produce so many bizarre religious movements?¿?
Have you ever been stopped dead in your tracks by a song? You go back and listen to it again and again, just to confirm what you heard was really as good as it seemed, only for it to actually get better and better with each new listening? That's what happened to me with this song. Transcendentally beautiful and full of a nostalgic longing, this song speaks to me on a deep level.

@Adriano Coiso , what's the source of this footage? It's amazing, and just right for the song.
Poetry in motion! Rodriguez is amazing 💎
RIP ...we miss you ....Rest In Peace Sixto! ❤
😁❤😁
The best song love this.xx
achei bizarro, até perceber a genialidade ❤️
Although this isn`t the typical Rodriguez song that most folk would get into, its one of my favorites. You can just imagine the role players doing their thing as they are introduced one by one. A fascinating lot they are - pure genius.
The Deltones Nightlife is the same tune with different wording. Rog. Pacific sunset records.
such talent for spicy comments
My fav track ever
The local diddy bop pimp
I like the song
he have such good songs that theres no doubt some kind of plot must have been going on to shut him and put him out of the marquet simply because his songs where not only good but quite protest and critical
The late 1980s for me signified exam stress, passage to adulthood, and a few other life processes for a late teen. Without tunes of this shockingly high calibre, I swear I may never have made it through intact!
This song gives me Dylan x Charles Bukowski vibes.
There's just something about this song
I’m a stand up comic in Rodriguez’s native Detroit and this song inspires me so much he got a major shout in my set tonight. It’s such a wonderful statement on the joy of performing and a really beautiful sentiment about humanity. Cold Fact and Coming From Reality deserve to be canonized alongside The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan and Inside Dave Van Ronk.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. No shit. What he did for RSA and Apartheid...

Amo essa música. Fico pensando o que seria se a Trish ainda estivesse entre nós. Um grande talento que se foi tão cedo!
Love this so much, thank you
Such a beautiful song and singer. Also we need more of this style of video in the world. Love it🤣😍
very good.........................
I really don't think that the second line of the first verse is correct. You wrote "(Oh let me sail away) On the beach and on the earth..." That doesn't make sense in the rhyming scheme (and Broadcast's lyrics tend to use very tight rhyming couplets), not does it sound like what Trish is singing. I think that it's actually ""(Oh let me sail away) *From the beach and lonely bay..."* Likewise, you wrote the 3rd verse as starting "(I want to sail away) Want to look back on the day / And hide with my hand / What's left of the land..." I'm pretty sure that it's supposed to be "...Want to look back on the *bay..."* in keeping with the rest of the lyrics.
You are correct about the lyrics.
this song comes from Hippie Boy by the Flying Buritto Brothers, i just realized! It's extremely similar, specially the lyrics and the way they casually tell the tale. I think he recorded this when he was heavily into that first Burrito album. I suggest u give it a listen before u put this statement down.
This has been very kind to me
This is unbelievably good
Gracias Adriano!!
