Jeep Wrangler JK Clutch Slave Hydraulic Line Leak and O-ring Info
Great help video thanks, they sell the seals now on Amazon and eBay so must have been a common issue.
Very helpful, Steve!
there is also a small o-ring where is it placed?
When they come in a set where does the small oring go? I see that part clips over but theres a normal oring in the packet?
THAT THERMOSTAT IS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. The leg currently going to the water pump should be going to the lower radiator hose.
Thanks Steven you saved my ass. The final part of the video showing how to properly seat the o-ring was my missing link

Thanks Steve very well described. My 1980 is the same color, bought new and I have had heating issues on and off for years.

There is an O ring inside the rubber?
Really helpful - yes my "expert" mechanics had made the same mistake. Thank you!
the amount of time and money you just saved me with my 2010 JK....Brother...THANK YOU!
Where did you get it?
Just happened to me today could not explain why it was still leaking but now i know. Thanks 👍🏽
This video helps a lot thank you.
That rubber can be purchased on it own
Thank you for this video Sir! This problem was driving me insane..lol
When I pulled the hydraulic line out of the old slave, there was no little rubber cap. I did it slow are carefully and I'm certain it didn't fly off and roll away. I looked inside and even smashed the slave open with a hammer and it wasn't there. The boot was torn on the old one though. I inserted the line into the new slave, removed the master cylinder cap and pumped it by hand until it had pressure. Then I bolted it up and pressed the clutch about 50 times. Jeep was parked facing up hill. I then put the cap back on and drove it around the block. It works perfectly fine. I checked the slave and no leaks. My question to anybody and everybody is, has anyone experienced this also? Not having the little rubber cap? I haven't driven it far yet so if it starts leaking I know why. But so far so good and it's interesting that there was no cap present. 🤷♂️ Does anyone know the part number for the hydraulic line? Just incase.
Wow solution to my problem😅
Those rugged ridge are garbage. Only use "Energy" polyurethane components on your jeep.

I've been at it for four hours, almost there just needs to straighten out... and then the bump stop fell out. No wonder the previous owner never replaced the bump stops for years it looks like. Why would someone want to abuse themselves like that?
Saved me thank you
whats that red thing called where he can fill cooling fluit on the highest part ?
Clearest instructions I've heard in years, excellent job 👏 👍
I owe you a beer. Saved our trip stuck on the side of the highway in wyoming.

Ahaha literally the issue I'm having on my 2010 mps 😂. I ordered a braided line but almost thinking about finding a replacement seal to get it running.
