The truck is owned by Garrett Ford, and after landing the truck in early 2022, he commissioned Brycen to give it a new lease on life. The decision was made to fit it with a...

My name is Brycen Smith, I have spent my adult life building my career as a professional hotrod builder, but I have a passion for old ford trucks and, more specifically, 1967 - 1972 "Bump-side" Fords. This truck is my second personal bump-side build, and it is the product of years of professional knowledge and skill but built after hours and in my home garage. "Penny" is a 1967 F250 that I purc...

www.prddesign.com In 2008, the longtime dream to create my own custom car began with the vision that was not only to build a car that was WWII aircraft themed, but is actually built like a WWII aircraft. Initial ideas were formed and chassis fabrication began. 50 hours later, I had the initial chassis design built. But as is true for all things worth doing right, time was needed for the vision ...

Eata preciosa tu camioneta ...se ve totalmente original pero me gustaria saber que motor trae porque en el video no se alcasa a escuchar. Desde Colombia ..
Gorgeous... 😍😍
Nothing like the sound of an FE ford through dual exhaust!
La Ford Pick Up F.250 1970.Roja. Franklin Larreal Varela- Venezuela.10/04/2024.
Every things been down hill since 1972.
Sweet Highboy build! Where'd you get the steering wheel?
Would love a link to that whole steering setup please
Nice weapon. Well done.
Beautiful truck ! I have a 1970 Ranger XLT short bed 2wd with a red exterior , black interior. My father bought in new in 1970 and handed it to me when I turned 16. I’m 58 now and still have the truck. All original paint and interior with a few bolt on modifications, it has 58,000 miles. It only gets out in the summer and has never seen winter. It has the same drivetrain and I really like how it drives.
i miss real trucks like this. the new stuff is trash.
Incredible truck! Thank you for sharing.
Great looking truck!!!!!! 🤜🤛
What a beautiful truck! I’ve seen a couple of those overdrive units but never seen them in operation. Thanks for the in depth look at how that works.
This thing is amazing. Beautiful truck
T85 has an unsynchronized 1st gear which is why it grinds when you try to down shift to first. You really should keep the OD handle pressed in at all times except when parking or descending hills where you need engine breaking. With the OD handle in the trans will freewheel below 26 mph or so, allowing you to downshift into 1st without grinding. Also, around town it will shift into OD in 2nd gear, eliminating the need for you to shift into 3rd unless you’re at highway speeds.
Wow... 4 of us had high boy trucks in high school. My high school had a smoking room and open campus. Cheated on finals and got my diploma!!
Beautiful truck i would love to have it
Good truck
Nice work! Gorgeous restomod!
Man I’ll tell you what, trucks like this one and penny have a complicated personality. I think both trucks are super awesome! With that being said, I think when SOME people get a glance at these trucks on social media and are not familiar with these trucks, some tend to keep scrolling and never find out how awesome trucks like this are. A great resto mod that you don’t have to be concerned about putting a ding or a scratch in the body. If this truck ever went up for sale, I could get pretty weak at resisting😁 Excellent job on the restoration and conversion!
Thanks, I agree. It's really hard to appreciate this truck as photos just dont do it justice. It is, without a doubt, one of the nicest highboys out there.
Awesome build! Where do you source your highboy leaf springs?
Thanks, Eaton Detroit Spring 👍🏻
Great job PRD design. Thanks for using our Aluminum Tonneau Cover on this build! Looks awesome!
Thanks again!
So Nice! awesome job.
Thank you very much!
Very nice!
Thanks!
Incredible build, sir!
Thank you kindly!
Wow, what a restoration. I would take her down to Texas. And in Between Dallas and San Antonio. Just put the for sale sign up on her. She would be gone in 30 minutes.
You lost me at “ patina “. As a guy who’s done paint and body for 20yrs I’m tired of the patina fad. Paint the truck.
Unfortunately for you, Patina isn't a fad. It's here to stay. While I love a nice, quality paint job, they can never replace the 50+years of history showing on original paint. I've been building custom cars professionally for over 18 years and have been a part of many high-end builds with high-end paint jobs. Unless it's high-end paint, I dont want it. I'd take original paint over mediocre paint any day of the week.
Nah I disagree with you as well! I always appreciate a nice paint job, but tbh, nothing beats the original color popping out (even if it is faded and rusty after so many years of sitting outside), plus I look at it as a way to just not care about scratching or chipping paint while doing some 4wheeling or hard work with the truck. They’re made to get dirty, dented and take a general beating!
i picked up a 70 high boy with dana 60/80 lockers rust free clean body tool box on side ranger with extra parts with no engine for 250 bucks then traded a junk car i got for free for a 390. then i picked up for free a 70 class c ford motor home with a c-6 that slips with a 428 in it but the interior is real cool it has roses in the interior trim tilt wheel full gauge cluster with tach wiper delay cruise control ac power steering and power breaks the cab is mint on it the front clip is perfect still has good factory paint on it . the cab would be perfect for a sleeper all ready cut out
The best looking front end
Me encanta está troca 👏
Beautiful truck. I own a 77 F250 and I would never get rid of it.
I own a 77 F250 Highboy with a 351m and no matter how cold its outside, it starts right up and is ready to plow.
Very nice
Love. Love. Old ford trucks. Anything ford. I bleed blue.
very nice i have a 1960 f103 4x4 i dropped 360fe in all orginal with 3:89 rears and 3:91 up front T98A tranny 3yr project again yours is a real beauty
That truck is perfect
Sweet ride!
Spectacular
Nice 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤🇩🇰Denmark🇩🇰
Well done sir..she's absolutely beautiful. The only thing I would have done differently is left the headlights more original looking..But I'm not criticizing your choices at all just my opinion..I love these old trucks. The first vehicle I ever drove in my life was my grandfathers long bed 72 with a 390 two barrel C6 tranny and posi 410 rear diff..It was a hoss as I'm sure yours is..His was two wheel drive but it was a true two wheel drive. This video brings back wonderful memories for me. Thank you for sharing your exquisite truck..God bless you sir.
❤❤❤❤👍🏻🇩🇰
THANK YOU ,THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!! for keeping her all Ford!!! I love the way you did the 4 wheel change keeping its originality ! I have a 1970 F 250 that's my baby it's 2 wheel drive with a little 429ci 😁 w/ NP435 ( bulletproof indeed) that i built in the late 80's and runs today ( I wanted to do a four-wheel drive but I did not want to change the chassis all chassis that I found are 73 and newer i dont lke the way they look different chassis thank you for doing what I wanted to do which I was told it would not work YOU made a awesome truck!!! love are donkey mirrors ( I need the same hardware) it all there! They just don't come off. hahaha thanks again
this is cool
I really love your truck i have a 1994 f250 4x4 that i wish i could re do but i cant aford it i live on disabil8ty but i can dream.
How much for you penny?
I sold it last year, sorry.
Sweet truck.
First truck I ever drove was my great-grandfathers 71 F250 Camper Special. A candy apple red 2wd, no power steering, no power brake, radio delete unit with a 360. I was eight years old when I was first offered to drive all over the farm with my grandfather riding shotgun and my great-grandfather sitting on the tailgate. It was hard for me to steer through some of the tighter sections despite the large steering wheel. My grandpa quipped that it had "Armstrong power steering". I didn't get it at the time, but well played grandpa, well played. Miss those days. The truck had 30,000 miles on it at the time, but had been a farm truck is whole life, and it looked the part. It fort brought to a shop to get the king pins replaced. The shop managed to break the I beams and was unable to find parts, so was towed home with no front suspension. There it sat for five or six years. Some parts ended up getting sold and eventually it got junked. Wish I could get it back. I still carry it's original key on my key chain. Dang, what a flood of memories!
Looks great! Awesome job man!
