I got my 16570 black 4 months ago, and it hasn't stopped running since. A dream to wear and super aesthetically pleasing. The 16570 is my favourite Rolex I've had I reckon, and even though I'm an Omega guy, it probably eclipses all of those that I've owned as well. Near perfect to me.

Do people really swim in $10K watches? I mean there is a reason why Rolex is considered a desk diver, because owners do exactly the opposite of its intention. Also the Speedmaster would most commonly be compared to the Daytona, and those savings are MAGA greater, especially considering i can walk into Omega boutique with zero previous purchases and walk out with a Speedmaster. Can you say the same about the Daytona, or hell a Sub? Not interested in hearing .00001% rarities, I’m talking about the rule not the exception.

In a thousand years your decendant will be able to walk into any air and space museum and see the first watch on the moon. Rolex will be forgotten and nowhere to be found. Buy the Speedy and hand it down.

That 5513 is amazing. In my opinion, the 114060 is boring. I have one as well that i’m looking to get rid of. That 16570 is very nice. I have the Polar version and it’s probably my most worn watch. I’m thinking of picking up the black version for some versatility. As you mentioned, the bracelet and size is perfect.

Nice collection, but IMO too much of the same thing with having two Submariners and a Black Dial EXPII. A polar dial EXPII would have really spiced things up. Love the Green Dial OP BTW.

My only Tudor, my only titanium, my only blue dial watch, too. Perhaps wearing also a little less than in the beginning but just love the rugged style, when being outdoors or when diving and swimming

I have them both. 1967 321 Speedmaster and 1967 5513 Submariner. Both are keepers.

My main issue with this watch is that it wears much much smaller than a bezel-less 40mm. The dial feels like a 34 bc of the thick brushed bezel. The lack of a reflecting polished bezel doesnt scatter light outward, causing the eye to focus on the dial center and that makes the case size feel a lot smaller than a 40. To me it wears closer to a 37 or 38 and feels much smaller than a 40 like the new Air King or even the 39 E1.

I bought mine new in 2009 (when you could still walk into a Rolex AD and buy one off the shelf!), so it's the same reference as yours but with solid lugs and a slightly upgraded movement. I used to wear it a lot, but then I got a Tudor BB58 which has kicked the Rolex off my wrist for most of the last 5 years, something I wasn't quite expecting.

Fits perfectly because you have a large wrist. Doesn’t work for slim wrists due to the inability to adjust the strap above the H link. This puts many people off the neo vintage watches even though they are far better in many respects (smaller numbers, rarer, and consequent value retention)
