Fallen Blood (OblivionAXiS Remix) | Epic Battle Fantasy 4
I present to you the biggest project I've ever finished: 15 minutes long, 34 instruments, and over 170 patterns on FL studio. I love all of the final boss themes in the Epic Battle Fantasy series for their own reasons. Divine Madness is the most nostalgic for me. Blaze of Iris has the best soundfonts and mixing in my opinion. Fallen Blood, on the other hand, has my favorite melodic content.
As with most of my projects, I started making this on a whim. But I'm really proud of how it turned out, and the sheer scale of it emphasizes just how far I've come these past couple of years. I hope you enjoy.

I honestly almost never just sit down and just listen to a song, but honestly this song warranted it, I stopped what I was doing and took it in. Honestly amazing... I love the classic western cliché bells and whistles.. so sick. Have you considered writing themes for the other characters? =)
I plan on it, but a lack of inspiration combined with high motivation to work on several unrelated projects means that I haven't made any progress on... anything music related really, except for the System Shock Ending theme remix I made for VortexCoreGaming's album a little while ago.

I didn't expect absolute banger appearing in my frontpage from my favorite game in 2024, and bloody hell this is so damn good EBF series holds special place in my heart, and you did a mighty fine job with the remix Out of all EBF final boss ost, Fallen Blood is my favorite due to the weight of it and the duality inside Creator section shows desperation and devastating power of Godcat, then it shift to Destroyer section where the violin and flutes represent hope and resistance against all odds Third section really screams "Brace yourself" as you readies yourself to survive their combined power

Yeah it's a problem with a lot of my older tracks, my mixing skills are not as good and some of the soundfonts I used were not quite as crisp. I've been considering putting out a revised version of this remix but I think the changes would be a bit too subtle for it to matter to most people.

I love how the creator's theme is bright and angelic, yet shows traces of despair. Meanwhile the destroyer's theme is dark and menacing, but there is a sliver of hope in it. It somehow fits perfectly together, because as a wise man once said: "I do not fear the man with the gun, but the man with an orchestra as his theme"

I may not play the old EBF with the exception of the EBF5, once I hear this final boss theme I kinda liked it? But hearing this version, now I am really facing god and devil itself.

As much as I would love to, dropping the flp file would allow anyone on the internet to easily steal and replicate my work. I spent a lot of time arranging the song almost entirely by ear and making my own decisions on how to improve the sound, and I don't want to give that up for free (not to mention, I don't have the rights to the original song).
