The Hummingbird Stitchers Quilt Guild put on a fabulous quilt show on March 2nd and 3rd, 2024. Over 200 amazing quilts were on display. I produced some music to go along with the quilts shown here.

In my last video I left you at Mackinac Island, so from there the boys and I drove up the UP (BEAUTIFUL!) and then down to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Here we stayed a few days and toured the National Railroad Museum and Lambeau Field. After spending some time at Fredrock Glampground in Missouri, the boys and I head north to do the AQS show in Grand Rapids. While there, I visit the Grand Rapids Public Museum and the President Ford Library with the Sistine Chapel exhibit. Afterwards I spent four days at Mackinaw City and a full day on Mackinac Island. Thank you! Due to some changes, I'm not doing as many shows any more as a vendor. What I'm thinking of doing is just attending and taking pictures of the quilts when I don't vend at the particular show. I love doing these videos, they take an enormous amount of work, but I love it. I've been also planning out content for my traveling videos on a regular basis, perhaps every other week. Thank you again for the comment, it means a lot to me.
That's pretty cool! One of my customers out of Boaz, AL is really big into quilts and goes to these shows! Awesome!

So crazy that this showed up in my RUclips feed... my husband grew up in Sierra Vista and went to Buena High! I'll have to try connecting with the Hummingbird Stitchers next time we go out there. The show is gorgeous.

My family and I lived in SV many years ago. The best place we ever lived during our military years. I felt more connected to Mother Earth there than any other spot I have ever been to
I imagine it is much bigger than what you remember now, though it is peaceful and has a nice "hometown" feel to it. I love walking the trails at the San Pedro House in the spring. You're very lucky to have spent part of your life there.
I lived there 77 through 2006, but wasn’t a quilter. I moved away and became a quilter, often think of what I missed.
The quilt show as great. I have always wondered what it would be like if Disneyland had a quilt show ride with music. Every quilt was beautiful and inspiring. Thanks.
You're welcome. It took a lot of waffling to decide on the music. With all the color and quite a few whimsical quilts, I decided to go with a Disney theme. I have given up on trying to figure out what quilters like to listen to. It's all over the place. My next show is in Abilene, Texas...I'll let you guess what the theme will be. Bella's part was difficult to make...she is missed so much. As you know about editing videos, over half was cut out - and I did the narration in one take, it is FAR from perfect but I didn't want to do it again. :-)

What a fabric hour spent in Wisconsin viewing masterpieces. My favourite was the hands stitching the blue patchwork quilt. No idea how to find it again amongst so many, but left with so many ideas. Great video skills. Thanks for sharing, from Chester UK.
Thank you so much! Yes, yes, the blue patchwork quilt is a nice one! But...so were the rest of them! One of the reasons I take my time at these shows is to give quilters ideas so I'm glad you noticed that. Each show is a creativity overload!

Thanks for showing me my quilt hanging. I love how you showed the medallion in the center and came out to the full quilt. It is at 44:31. I have been at all the shows except the ones after Covid. It was great to get to see all of the quilts.

During COVID shut down, to pass the time I sewed masks and started to learn how to quilt(something I had been wanting to learn for some time.). Now I’m hooked on quilting! Your presentation of the quilt show was awesome! Truly enjoyed it!

Hi Peggy ~ I believe that hold that show every other year, so the next one will be in 2024. I don't have the dates yet. It will be held at the Ozark Fairgrounds again - a very large building with easy parking and just an overall great location. I hope to attend again if even as a guest.
