Well, we for now don't know what will happen to the class 158 fleet. Personally, think they are too good for them being withdrawn as they are key for express and regional workings. The sounds of the Cummins engines are very soothing. Happy to hear you've enjoyed it :-)

The X93 is Arriva North East biggest money earning routes. Well, if you are referring to the climb up from Robin Hoods Bay then all buses will struggle up the 1 in 25 hill climb. To say the least, the MMC's are more powerful compared to the Streetlite's which Arriva North East has. I rode on one during the winter months of X93 between Scarborough and Whitby and on the hills, they are underpowered a lot and very struggle a lot on the hills.

Happy to hear you've enjoyed it Martin. Rather surprised to be honest what the inspector told us about the bus running on fumes. I really can't be too sure what happened. Fortunately, we were very close to Scarborough town centre and the bus was close to the depot so didn't have far to refuel.

Gosh, the railways won't be the same without the Sprinter fleet. Even though they are well over 30 years old, they are still going strong. But, I think this will take a few years though after testing, training etc.

There are stunning views along the line. The last time I rode on the Harrogate line is when Northern had their Pacer buses along the line between Knaresborough and York. It feels strange that 170 Turbostars are dominating the line but with these trains, the journey times seems to have been reduced.

Well, this is the drivers choice really rather to use the bus lane or not. But, it was a new driver who has been route learning hence for the supervisor/inspector on board the bus.
