"Passion Play" Band Live (Jethro Tull Tribute Trio 1995)
This is a mix of performances from the band 1995-1996 with Paul Caruso, Jeremy Cohen and Al Green...this band performed at small clubs in Long Island and got to the semi-finals of the Long Island Music Festival as an acoustic trio. They would go on to form the NY Jethro Tull band "Warchild" that is currently still performing

Thick As A Brick (live) edit with strings
Great to see GC at the beginning and a memorable version of Thick as a brick!
Just discovering this now. Blown away at the accuracy. RIP GC.
When you watch ANYONE trying to cover Jethro Tull, you realise what an extraordinary genius Ian Anderson is - even the very best cover versions don't come close to what he put out. He was a musician extraordinaire.
GOD BLESS YOU GLENN, YOU BROUGHT MANY HOURS OF MUSICAL ENJOYMENT TO ALL THE "TULLIANS" OVER THE YEARS MATE.
Erm, he's not able to read what you've said.
The singer/flutist is more Anderson than Anderson
Most impressive 👏 loved seeing Glen with these guys. Clicked on this for Glen ended up watching the whole thing. Love Tull music and this was an impressive reproduction. The vocals sound way better than Ian does these days. Not sure how accurate this is but I remember reading somewhere a while back that Glen was let go from the band because Ian had a very strict no tolerance drug rule and Glen liked to smoke pot. Not sure how truthful that is? So great to see him here enjoying playing the wonderful music he was a part of creating with this wonderful band, love it all but Teacher really hit home for me. Thanks for this. love you Glen RIP
@aschule5684 thanks so much for the kind words! This was a really special time, we invited Glenn to NYC to stay with us for a few days and play this show and it was great seeing him learn these songs and versions again.... his bass tone was awesome from the very start!!! He was a fun loving guy with heavy sarcasm, yes unceremoniously fired from the band... we lost Paul Caruso, the lead singer a few years later, he died
@@jeremycohen113 hi Jeremy, thank you for your reply. When you say Paul died would you be referring to the gentleman singing in this video and are you a member of this great band?
@aschule5684 yes the singer Paul passed, the story is sad and not for this forum... I'm the drummer for the group, we're still performing in NY 2-3x year
@@jeremycohen113 it's kinda funny because I've played guitar all my life but I'm a HUGE drummer fan and you're awesome. As far as Tull goes Clive Bunker and Barrymore Barlow , I got to see a Tull show on RUclips here late 70's I believe or the "songs from the wood" era and the solo Barry played was one of the most incredible I'd ever seen and heard "outstanding" John Bonham said he was the finest drummer England ever produced, I see why he felt that way. Very sorry to learn of Paul's passing he was quite talented and did justice to Ian Anderson and I'm glad for his sake his memory will live on through this video. Couple questions, was your guitar player playing a red Gibson SG or is that something else? Couldn't tell the camera never got close enough. Also do you know what he was using for an amp? And, are you in another Tull tribute band?
Gotta love an actual member joining a tribute band...must be surreal experience...Glenn enjoying that original sound

Brilliant!
A passion play is the best album of all time
This is amazing drum cover
Nice job!
Having read all the glowing comment herein, what else can I say? It's very heart warming to know so many people were so touched by Jethro Tull's magic, particularly back in the days of the Benefit and Standup era. Wonderful memories indeed.
Is he a clone?
too many rules just to watch a show.
I've seen Tull every year since '72I must say this is the best Tull Band I've ever heard! I've heard a few and they always left me wanting. This is a great band!!
thanks i enjoyed this performance 🙌 -
Great musically, but Ian Anderson moved all the time......he never stood still lol..look at the early versions of "Nothing is Easy" :) He never stood with his legs together....:(
To hear the song on the edges of time replayed and hold on the shiver of days since gone...🎵🎵🎵🌈❤
Glenn Cornick you inspired me to play the bass. 20 years and still learning. Living in the past I wished...🎵🎵🎵🌈❤
Thier timing is hot and cold but twice as better than mine ❤😊😂😅🎉😮😢❤😊😢😂😮😢
I wish I had kept my hollow bodied gretch bass it's worth upward of 10k now I walked with it on my back and brought my flute too 😊😂😢❤😅😢😮😂😢❤😊😅😢I think I swapped a duosonic for it at gruhn guitar early 70s I thought I was a musician 😊😮😅😢😮🎉😢🎉🎉❤😂😊😅
I'm so embarrassed to know all the words to warchild and minstrel in the gallery 😊😢😅😂😮🎉😢❤😊😮😅🎉😢
Jeffrey Hammond Hammond his mom and dad had the same last names ❤😢😂😮🎉😢😅😮😅😅😢😮😂
Great!
Perfect live performance.
IMPOSTORS PLAYING PRETEND LIKE CHILDREN. THE GIUTAIR PKAYING IS NO MARTIN BARRE THE FAKE IAN ANDERSON LACKS IANS SPIRITS AND HIS VOCAL VIBRATO LITTERALLY! THIS IS AN ABOMINATION. THE DRUMMER IS A JOKE!
I love Jethro Tull will I ever pretend that I was in Anderson and devote my musical career to imitating someone else because I had no creativity of my own? These people have these tribute bands are Musical imposters who are suffering from an identity crisis as they think there's someone else and play some kind of a game of pretend like children or delusional schizophrenic women who have multiple personalities, and thanks for someone else this is nothing more than imitation like cheap Japanese products. Essentially Elvis impersonators with zero creativity of the run the fact that these tribute bands are accepted by the general population goes to speak about what Ian Anderson called in the album Rock Island ears of tin! If I was these people I would be ashamed to even put this on the internet ! I played in the band with a bass player who is from Australia who said the Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson came to see them play at the club while they were eating dinner Ian Anderson and the band never applauded their band when they played cover songs but when they played one of their own they got a handclap a handclap from Jethro Tull Ian Anderson!
I HATE IMPOSTORS
I can tell you are a very judgemental, sour and generally unpleasant person. Get a life
Is that the guy layong Jesus on “The Chosen”?
You're getting a thumbs down because the music does not match the video !
Wow, my first taste of Warchild but a 50 + year fan of Jethro Tull.
Glenn was a great bassist. Loved the early Tull.
I’m having this at my funeral
Great tribute band but why are they dressed like that ?
Perfectly inspired Tull tribute band! Iv'e been listening since 1972, but only saw the original JT once, in 1997
The Warchild! Hurrah!!!
Thank you for posting this video! I am really enjoying this, especially TAAB.
I must say it’s probably the best attempt at a cover of a very difficult group to play. Not bad nice job.
I have to give a 10 for giving this a go not exacetly an easy one to do.
Amazing
awesome Tull tribute band.
Glenn 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just discovered your channel and I'm quite impressed with your JT covers. JT (1969-1979) being my preferred band. It takes a lot of work and skill to break down and reproduce them. I can hardly imagine the thrill of having Glenn come join you on stage. Also checked out your group's web page. Glad to see you're still in service.
Awesome cover! :-D
Got to say I never liked the music nearly as much as the original group from 70- 78 eras. Awesome to hear Glenn again 👍
you needed a bigger stage xx love 💝 from Suffolk England
great effort guys lots of love from Suffolk England in 2023
This was seriously excellent!
