Fireplace Bellows
Bellows made from paduk, poplar, leather and brass.
I had some small bellows for the woodstove as a kid and thought it would be cool to try and make my own. Machining the tapered brass was the most fun part. They work great!
Thanks for watching.

Stationary Bike Crank Repair: Cleaned old threads, filed paint for the ground clamp, set the welder voltage and speed, filled in the old hole, ground the extra weld steel flat, drilled a center, drilled for the tap, tapped the threads and test fitted the pedal. Citrus Squisher Refurb

Not sure where this juice press came from but it looks like it saw a flood. The handle was missing and it was gross and rusty. Time to bring it back to life. The handle was cut from delrin. Vertical Bandsaw Stand
Просмотров 2465 лет назад
I had a new woodworking bandsaw shipped here and thought it should go straight onto a dolly. The specs in the manual and the rep on the phone had conflicting measurements for the footprint of the base so I made it oversized. Steel, 3/4" baltic birch plywood and paint. The levers work fairly efficiently. I can close it with one hand despite the 240 pound machine. This design was totally stolen f...
Dishwasher Magnet

Our dishwasher is not the best. This handy magnet will let everyone know if it's clean or dirty, or simply hard to tell. Polystyrene glued to a thin magnet with adhesive vinyl for lettering. Headphones Hook

A simple 18 gauge steel hook for hanging headphones off of racks or console trays. The grinder and metal brake are homemade. So is the bandsaw stand. Drill Press Digital Readout
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.5 лет назад
DIY arduino drill press digital readout. I didn't do a proper build video as it was kind of boring but it does use a 1024 step encoder instead of a digital caliper. The decimal display in the negative had a leading zero for some reason but it doesn't effect the operation. I hope to reuse this when I implement my new drill press. Thanks for watching. Easy Nylon Card Pouch
Просмотров 915 лет назад
I tried to sew a leather card pouch but the material was too old. Failure is always an option. So I went with nylon. It's a really cheap and simple build. Thanks for watching. Horizontal Bandsaw Stand
Просмотров 4,7 тыс.6 лет назад
After refurbishing this metal bandsaw I needed a place to stow it. The factory stand was unwieldy and didn't have any storage. This is what I replaced it with. I lost the video files that showed my welding of the main structure. Boo. Check out my other videos for some extra arc shots and to see how I made the box and pan brake that I used for the chip tray. Steam Bent Oak Coat Rack
Просмотров 4086 лет назад
I tried steam bending red oak to make a coat rack. Sawing the legs to the same profile worked well enough that either method would work for the hooks or legs. Thanks for watching. Replaced Handle of Stacked Leather
Просмотров 12 тыс.6 лет назад
My favorite hammer (don't tell the other hammers) has lost its stacked leather handle. So I tried my hand at replacing it. I have no idea how this is done. With some scrap leather of varied origins, I tried cutting and gluing a replacement. The stain was an attempt to get the color back to the original. I know a few squares were cut a little small and wax was the only successful finish I had on...
Welded Box and Pan Brake
Просмотров 102 тыс.6 лет назад
I've always wanted a box brake. This was a cheaper and more fun solution than buying one. It's a standard design, 18" wide and can bend up to 20 ga steel. The finger clamp cam is my favorite part. Love paulownia, all my build-in clothes cabinets have this wonderful wood
Holy Crap it's the Higgs! Hey bro, it's Daniel from MTSU AES. Hope you're doing well man. Looks like you've got some really cool stuff going on. Saw you on some videos I was watching over on DcSoundOp's channel.
Looks great - nice video!
Howdy neighbor! Looks great, something I'd have never have thought to try to build myself
Thank you my friend.
Looks like a fun project! I always liked playing with my parents as a kid as well. Glad to see your still making away. Miss you guys!
Good job 👍🏻
I’m curious about the weight of the whole cab…..
Название песни? Заранее спасибо!
Very good
Nice job, I've done several Estwing tools with leather gripped handles. I use Shoe Goo I stead of epoxy. Thanks for sharing.
I guess there aren't plans available? It would be nice for those of us that would like to build a couple of these.
Sweet!!!
Excellent work, sir!!!
That's awesome!!! I am, without question, going to build a freestanding hat rack, now!!! I can't believe I haven't already thought about them!! They were in EVERY household, when I was going up, and I thought the were great. For the last few weeks, I have been looking for some hat/coat rack ideas, and this style hasn't even occurred to me, until now...... Thank You, sir!!
You did and excellent restoration Mr.Higgins . Thanks for your video and all the best .
Smart way to use your vise! Great video too! Can I ask why you use epoxy? I have taken a few apart and no glue was used. It's a smart idea, does it change the way the handle feels? Thank you!
The feel is good. The epoxy was insurance in case the bottom plate got loose. Thx for watching!
I didn’t know I needed. Citrus squisher
You use a tool at the 3:34, what is that!? I don't think I've seen anything like it.
It’s like a cabinet/card scraper but for dowels and curves. I use it all the time cause sanding sucks.
Someday I need to make one of these. I have a clunky metal one, but I prefer wood. 💪
Boa tarde meu amigo dobra chapa de 2 milímetros obrigado
That punch system genius!!!!
Thanks Jimmy. You’re a great inspiration.
Awesome 👊🏼👊🏼
That's a slick little stand. The perf panel is a nice touch
Woodprix is full of amazing tips. It helped me a lot.
Thank you so much , do you share code and sketch ?
So could this be used as decking over a pine stud wall and be a stout wall? Beyond guitars, veneer, and surfboards, I'm trying to understand the value of this wood in building.
Shou sugi ban siding, carved Japanese wedding chests, furniture, and surfboards are a few applications for Paulownia that I've seen.
It's commercially used to make lightweight plywood
What stain color is that or is it just natural?
Natural. Danish oil.
Voce me passaria o projeto?
Very nice table
How is working for you
Can we see more videos from you in the not so near future!!!??!?🤣🤣
Good thinking Which encoder did you use?
Nice build

I wrapped paracord around an old Estwing that lost some leathers
That vise trick was brilliant
Thanks. That part was the reason I bothered to post the vid.
Got a materials list?
In a reply above.
Superb design, I want to make one like it. Wonder where did you get the fingers, or how did you make them?
Cut the fingers out of 3/8” bar stock.
Good Idea.
Nice. What finish did you use on it?
Beautiful pieces! Love it!
Sometimes moulding just doesn't want to play. Looks great in the end though!
I wasn’t sure I would leave that mistake in. What you didn’t see was the 4 timesI had to cut the glass.
Están maravillosa la capacidad que Dios le da a la mente humana para crear tan maravillosas obras de arte
Guasa😍😍
you can buy that design out of poland ready built for 200 quid , with better hinges ,, time against cost , your actually not winning here , unless you were doing nothing at all ,,, then well done , but you need to re think your hinges.
Tbh - He has a lathe, If he has a 4 jaw chuck he can make a better set of hinges when he needs to
hola d ARGENTINA CBA sos lo maximo muy bueno en Gral FELICITACIONES
muito bacana , vou tentar fazer uma, PARABÉNS.
That is cool,good build
Brillant, just got myself a similar bandsaw and the with the stand if wont fit under the bench, great idea you've given me now, btw, love that folder, did you make it?
What is the tool you used after the draw knife?
Spoke shave.
