What the Tool? (Scale-Modeling tools and tips)
2:43 - fail… E-Wing canopies slide forward like Naboo N-1’s (not the MGS but in canon). Won’t be buying this one…
It's a minor change. But you have to have something kids can easily open and close.
At this scale I believe the sliding mechanism would be hard to replicate.
@@kevint1911 Exactly. And looking at the stills, I don't think they animated how it would slide; they just made it slide. And of course, Legends E-wings had a hinged canopy like the MGS.
I've been wanting an e-wing for years, since playing the Rogue Squadron game series... then I realized that it was the V-Wing that showed up in those games. 😅 Still this is a cool ship and I would buy it if I saw it in stores!
Classic V-wing would be cool. Loved those cluster missiles.
Take that Tanner 😂!
Hehe. Finally first. I savor the win.
This is my most wanted MGS ship, really hope I can find one. I love the greebly break-down, it's awesome to see how much care was put into this design. I think the E-wing redesign is exceptionally well done, the hawk shape for the nose really gives it a great sense of identity that the old design was lacking.
Thank you!!
Where did you get the preset handle?
@@solarrage11 that's from the High Performance Plus line. The threads are the same, so you can buy the handle and put it on an Eclipse.
I love your joking logic on Jazwares making a Star Destroyer because it’s included in the insert, and all of the other ships on the insert have been produced. It would be awesome, but a 1:72 scale Star Destroyer would be about 72 feet and 11 inches long (1/72 of 1600 meters is 22 1/9 meters). It would be about four stories tall (but some of that would be the bridge tower). You’d have at least two stories of livable space through most of its interior.
Oh yeah, I've joked with a few people about that. There's been several ask for a Star Destroyer, and I tell them, "well, you're gonna need a train to bring it to ya." Perfect calculations BTW
Words of wisdom.
I know it's one of the first releases, but I never bought it. This, however, is a good idea. I'm sure there's an inspiring custom somewhere.
I hope so. Personally, I kinda like the ship, but I get the disdain for it continually being on the shelves.
Great stand and review , thanks!!!
Great stuff! I especially love the cargo attachment 👌👌
@@paulbila9430 thanks man!
This looks great!
Thank you!
Seeing the wingspan difference I hope they release a repaint or Armada edition where they correct that and the mold issue. Preferably as a common because the current B-Wing might as well be a chase/rare where I am.
Agreed. They could easily do some other paint jobs for it.
would this benefited by having a thin foam backed sanding paper? I find this feature on sanding sticks most helpful, by comparison, like using a file vs sanding stick, They feather and blend out the area.
Yes I would agree. I think if you could find some sticky-backed foam sanding pads, those would work great. Maybe cut out some command strips to attach. I think I might try that myself.
Too expensive and not on amazon
You get what you pay for. It's definitely worth it.
@@rebelscale "worth it" is always subjective, there's similar products that work well for less than half the price and easier to buy on Amazon.
just found one today. awesome paint
I don't mind varients being chase and rare but odd that the landspeeder is listed as a chase.
Agreed. Rumor is that it will be re-released in a Battle Pack. And it should be the last unique Chase.
That guy says " north east gets the shaft" try being in Canada walmart is no longer carrying the line.....toys r us...yeah wow they have most of series 1 and wont even carry the smalls....best chance we have is to take trips to lower states every few months😢😢😢😢😢😢
Yeah, I have a buddy in France, I buy for. It is so hard collecting these outside of the States sadly.
Pity I found this channel 2 weeks after this video
Don't worry, I'll do more giveaways in the future
wait omg....if they made hera x-wing then what was the big bad she fought against in the show?......oh god i hope they make "THAT" ship lol
I'm hoping for somebody this weekend to do a review of the infiltrator as it's supposed to be released this weekend nothing has shown up at any of my targets
@@knighthawk3759 I definitely want to do a review on the infiltrator as soon as I get one in. I also want to do the AT-TE as well
Man Jazwares has been really bad at distributing these, I didn’t even know the Landspeeder was even out! It’s been a consistent issue since Series 2 and it’s disappointing to see they haven’t gotten better about this. I’ve been trying to get the Tie Bomber, but it’s impossible to find it anywhere.
Im sad, all i have left of the 90's Acton Fleet vehicles is a B-Wing.
It's such a good line. Some pop up from time to time at decent prices. The TIE Defender and E-wing on the other hand are hard to get.
Only youtubers seem to have this amazing luck finding chased while im still staring at pegs of series 1 and v wings ...maybe i should start a youtube channel
This was very much luck on my part. Southeastern US doesn't usually see much
Congrats to the lucky winners!
Congrats to the winners, nice job Jon! If you do more raffles in the future I’m in!
Thank you!!
Those templates are so cool, where did you get them? It’s hard to hear what you said.
If I recall, I got those from AK Interactive. There's a lot of of splatter stencils out there. And I have a few linked in the description.
Hopefully Micro Galaxy Squadron does the spider! Still this is a cool model!
I'd love them to
Congrats to the winners!
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Oh wow, I can't believe it! Thanks for all you do for the community Jonathan we all really appreciate it and refer to your awesome content all the time. Also, thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity in not only holding the initial raffle, but in adding to it. Well done Sir.
Awesome review! I'm bummed Hera's X-wing is a rare. So excited for the Phantom, love the interior and folding wings. Amazing to finally see the closeup detail on the Landspeeder. Thanks Rebel Scale for your amazing website, I consult your site whenever I have scale concerns.
Thank you so much for the kind words!!
SO GLAD SOMEONE DONATED A 3rd ONE! I put in for the raffle and told some friends to also enter. Fingers crossed 🤞 good luck everyone!
Thank you so much!!
I'm in! Good luck to all (but mostly me)
Haha, thank you.
Great review. I'm hoping I can find the speeder and hera. Northeast just sadly gets the shaft.. you'd think several years into this line, they would have made things better..
I'm hoping too that these start popping up more.
Done. Fingers crossed. Winning (or losing) aside, really great site. Fantastic resource!
@@reevrob thank you
Great Intro!!!!!!!
Thanks man. That was a gift from my wife who had it commissioned for me.
So good, great finds
I'm so in love with the star wars rebels ships 💖 (my only mini complain is that the back door on the phantom doesn't open) Luke's landspeeder is amazing!!! can't wait to see how they make the one from Solo (will Rey's speeder be in the mystery box series?)
@@pipoms yeah the lack of a back hatch was really the only downside. But yes, I love Rebels and the ships from that show
I’m amazed anyone has a Landspeeder considering how no one can ever find one
@@brandonthetoyandgamecollector I'm still surprised it was there
I am surprised anyone has anything at all from this series, considering the scalpers are out in full force.
I’m looking forward to Hera’s X-wing a lot
The paintjob is amazing. Definitely worth it.
It looks cool but did Hera ever use an X-Wing? I remember her using an A-wing and a prototype B-Wing, but not this one.
@@kevint1911 it was from the episode Rebel Assault where Hera led a group of Green X-wings to attack the blockade on Lothal
@@rebelscale cool, thanks for letting me know.
@@rebelscalethe weirdest thing of Hera and her x- wing is when she opens fire with her s- foils closed to take out a tie defender. As far as I know you cannot fire the cannons with the wings in that position.
I think the raffle idea is a great idea. I really appreciate you doing something this vs scalping it. Glad to support your site too with this if I don't win.
Thank you so much!!
Alright, I’m in! My girlfriend and I started collecting this line a couple months ago (She leaves them boxed, I open mine) and your website and videos have been some really good resources. We’ve spent so much time viewing your content that we don’t mind helping keep the lights on a little! haha Since we are new MGS collectors we missed out on series 2 (one day I’ll find Antoc’s X-wing). We’ve been searching for Sabine at Ross, but no dice so far. This would be a cool way to get one, and it would be one we’d keep in the collection! (Open of course!) Thanks for all your great content, and for giving picky collectors like myself good sources of detailed information! Good luck to everyone who enters!!!
@@nyxand thank you so much!
Ok guys, I found a second one. So that means I'm drawing TWO names next Monday.
That was really $99?
With shipping, yes, but totally worth it for me.
So......... The Eclipse has a .35 nozzle and so does the Neo. What makes the Eclipse better than the Neo considering the Eclipse is much more expensive.
Good question. Quality and ease of use are the main differences IMO. The Neo is produced in China for Iwata in Japan, whereas the Eclipse is produced in Japan. The Neo has a small screw-in nozzle, whereas the Eclipse has the larger drop-in nozzle that is easier to clean. Longevity-wise, I think the Eclipse is a much better choice.
Great video! Would you recommend the hpcs over the H&S ultra 2024?
I like Iwata more, but I would see which is easier for you to get spare parts for. I know for me, I can easily find HP-CS parts locally.
How awesome 👍👍
Thank you
Nice!!
Thanks
Are the greeblies you added to the escape pod lego parts?
Not LEGO. I have a bunch of model kit parts that I chose from.
is not like a big difference, but the wings look really good now when you detached the cockpit, I instantly imagine using the part for kit bashing another ships.
Thanks man. It's the little things.
So that cap mod did you cut/grind it, or did you buy a new cap? i really like it, and I would like something like that on my iwata hp-b plus for easier tip cleaning
Yeah, that's an Iwata Crown Cap that I grinded with a Dremel and then filed down better with hand files. I like the crown cap, but I can't see the needle easily. So, having this, I can easily see if paint starts building up on the tip. And cleaning is easy as well.
@rebelscale okay that's what I thought. I actually just did this last night, and it's much nicer being able to see the needle without having to constantly taking the cap off to clean it
