Loopy Pro For linear song ? workflow concept
Просмотров 8 тыс.2 года назад
in this video I am trying Loopy pro as a DAW for not loopy kind of stuff. I am just showing how it can be done, the mix is not finished properly.
Atom piano roll 2 record sustain pedal CC64. A painful process

This is just a quick trick to be able to record CC in Atom piano roll. Which should work on other midi recorder. I am actually not sure this is something that anybody want to do but it can patch one big missing of Atom until it get fixed
IOS: AUM And MultiTrack recording Workflow

Just wanted to share a workflow I found useful to : - play around within AUM - record stuff as you would do in a daw - mix, edit, add effect etc inside AUM, because we love it.
Le bruit sur vos photos. L’ISO n’y est pour rien. La lumière est la coupable. (II)

Interesting. How about considering including Drambo, Koala and Camelot Pro?
thanks for this ;) . I don’t understand how almost no one is talking about this app/DAW for the iPad… (!) It looks pretty pretty SOLID. I came here for the Score editor option, and i learned a few other things. :P . kudos from Portugal
Thanks for the french accent, when a tips in yoir native language ? Merci
This looks great, but why use AUM at all? Are there features it has that Audiobus by itself lacks? I was never really clear on why you’d pick one over the other, their features seem so alike!
I’ve had my eye on Loopy Pro for a long time, but I tend to record songs with structure rather than “just” loops and this is just the thing to show how to do this, thank you for producing it.
It has already all been said in every comment, but just my two cents, as new user of LP I needed to see this and thank you much. Hope for more to come.
Thanks.
I Want It😊😊😊
Thanks for a helpful video.
Hi and thanks very much for creating this very helpful video.
I'm thinking of buying an older /used iPad (I use android normally) purely for loopy pro.Which older one is fully workable/ ok for using with loopy pro? if you know and that was a great demo thank you.
Excellent demo - very thorough and extensive. Thanks!

Thanks. How is this compared to Acoustic Grand?
This has more depth
Thank you. Others just talk but you show us!
Thanks for sharing this. Not many videos on loopy daw use 👏👏👏
why would you use such a complicated way to set up a session when you can just use a DAW to do the exact same thing in a much more streamlined workflow? what is the advantage of this setup?
Well the primary goal being to use AUM and Xequence, I would completely miss this goal if I was using an other DAW :)
How do you manage DSP - it keeps overshooting and causing distortion
Thank you for sharing this workflow.. a great alternative to the on-the-spot improv that most videos cover.. Loopy Pro continues to blow my mind with it’s built-in features.. so much to discover + explore yet.. Unbelievably Powerful!
Does it support SysEx?
I do not know. But isn’t sysEx kind of universal ?
@@photaudiotech5550 no, Cubasis does not send SysEx
@@photaudiotech5550 supposed to :) but unfortunately cubasis does not support it
Is it possible to write an mpe with Animoog in Xequence? The other DAWs do not support this (more precisely, glide).
Wow! This could be the single most useful workflow video on iPad I’ve ever seen… wow! Simply wow! Thank you.
Many Thanks for your interest
Where can I find those cool sounding drums on appstore?
Excellent and clever idea. Your demonstration is very thorough and clear.
This is really excellent work, and an ingenious use of Audiobus and these apps. It's impressive that it loads from a single zip file. I spent a while experimenting with it and it's deep. I'm learning all sorts of new things from it. Thank you! 👍
Thanks for your feedback. Glad this helps.
This isn’t a “tutorial “ per se but it’s VERY useful in showcasing the features. I learned a lot here . Thanks!
Nice example! Thanks.
Just what I needed, thank you for that!
This is great, thanks. I have hard time finding similar videos for what pieces precedes, that is how do you setup the instruments apps in iOS with loopy pro and also what hardware do to connect (only a keyboard or also a pad for the drums). It would be ultra useful for beginners . Merci d'avance !
Thanks for this.
Great video. I really hope you post more content. Thanks.
A beautiful and powerful workflow. That tip on the AUM timeline control was amazing! Great work - thanks!
Would this not work the same without AUM and just hosting and recording in Loopy Pro?
Ho yes you can. You can even remove Audiobus because loopy pro accept midi clocks in. But then …. You are not loosing AUM :).
Thank you so much!! These are very helpful! And Brilliant in the thinking behind them!!
👋Thx for sharing! It's was really interesting to watch your flow with DIY DAW of some kind 👍😎and I even started to consider to buy Xequence, but I've a couple of questions bout it: 1. Can you trigger Loopy Pro directly from Xequence? I mean do a separate MIDI track on a separate channel that will be mapped to audio tracks inside Loopy Pro and for example C1 note from Xequence triggers/toggles play state of a Track 1 inside LP, C#1 triggers Track 2 and etc. In that way I think it will be more convinient to control one timeline in Xequence instead two in Xesuence and in LP. 2. Does Xequence support portrait mode? Thanks again Sylvain 🙌
HI Thanks. 1. Yes you can. You can trigger any Loopy Pro clip by mapping the right Note. On loopy pro do "Midi Learn" click on the given clip, adjust the target (clip group, etc) the action (play/stop etc ) and Learn the message or Click Setup to do it manually. The main drawback is that the clip will not follow the song position of Xequence it will be only be in sync when you start from before the midi note is sent to loopy pro. Which can be okay for short audio (like FX) but can be a pain when working on a project with long audio, any time you start the song in between it will unsync the audio or not playing depending on the config. (I wish Loopy pro have the possibility to map a "SampleStart" message). 2. No Cheers.
This looks interesting, will try as soon as I've some time. Thanks!
For anybody interested, find the template here : github.com/SylvainGuieu/AUM_DAW Hope they are working well.
I have never used MultitrackStudio. I payed for the Standard and I still fully don't understand how to program the drums. I also get garbled audio everytime I play a sound.
Good video, I learned a lot. Thanks!
Watched this once before, bookmarked it because I knew I’d end up revisiting it… this will solve the current challenge I have with the song I’m working on, thanks for doing the dirty work of figuring it all out ☺️
Are you part of the community on facebook? The group “iPad Musician” for all ios and more? :)
This was great. Thank you!
Great Video 👍. Thanks for sharing this workflow with loopy pro.
I just wanted to give you a big thank you for making this video. It is really helpful to those of us that aren’t beat boxers but want to use this awesome new app. Thanks!
Wow. Thanks for your words.
Thank you for demonstrating this linear concept of recording/arranging.
oui, va falloir en faire d'autres, merci :)
It's so fun seeing how Loopy Pro is opening up avenues for so many different people to go in so many great directions.
That is a really creative workflow. Thank you for sharing that. You have given me a bunch of new ideas. Thank you.
Great job - I watched a lot of Loopy Pro videos and if they mentioned this workflow, I must have missed it. I'll be using this mode for guitar recordings. Nice piano chops, too. :)
I like your stile . Good job!
Thanks for sharing this project!
