This is also applicable to the F3 and Turismo Veloce models. The main difference with these two models will be the covers to remove in order to access the oil plug and filter cover. In addition, previous years are very similar due to the e...

In this video, we are going over testing the electrical parts that are necessary for this engine to work such as the battery, coils, 3 phase regulator rectifier, stator, and starter motor. Most of these tests are static meaning we are doing them off the bike, not running. We will definitely need more testing when putting everything back together. Next, we are going to focus on cleaning all the ...

Time to disassemble the front cylinder and piston. We will also remove the water pump, clutch lifter plate, starter motor, and also the six engine valves and springs. Quite a lot to do but we will get there. There are so many parts in this engine. It is actually quite impressive, but also a bit stressful as we will need to put these back together. I am sure with time this VT600 bobber build wil...

Then, we are opening up the rear cylinder part of the engine and removing everything including the piston. Quite a ...

Wow!!!! Great great video!!! I have also a Vt600c 1998 and I’m restoring it after 15 years of completely stop in a garage. I would like to go into your steps you did in this video. I’m not sure what polish and wheels you’re using (you said black, brown, and so on..). Can you guide me on this? Maybe some links to buy them (Amazon?) and how to start I have my engine carters both side very “old” even if I think they were chrome. Waiting for your comments and… thaaaaaaanks!!!!!! Pako
Hello, thanks for the videos, which symbol and digit did you put the multimeter arrow when testing the regulator
whats next?!
Thanks very much for the video. Is there h11 led +/-? Or does it not matter? Finally, are my 2022 model brutale headlights the same?
Are the front and rear coils different? And does it matter which wire goes to which spark plug?
Zig, why didn't you weld the rear fork to make the frame a hard tail? I think it's stronger and safer that way Greetings✌️
Great build so far , curious to why you decided to do a bolt on version of the seat bracket instead of welding a piece in place ?
We want more Dragster videos please! 😊
Pro tip bro wrap some tin foil around your exhaust to prevent any oil spilling on to it then discard when finished.
Excellent content. What country are you from? Every video that ive watched from an American doing the same procedure wasnt half as informative as you.
⚠Correction: Oil filter screws are torx, not hex. Thanks to @goozlo, an attentive viewer, for pointing that out! Apologies for the mistake, and I appreciate your feedback. I'll ensure better accuracy in the future. Your support means a lot!
The oil filter screws are torxs not hex..... I followed your video and obviously destroyed the head and then it was a pain to get them out....
Thank you for pointing that out, and I apologize for the mistake in my video. You're absolutely right! I just went to check and the oil filter screws are torx, not hex. I guess I got very lucky as I didn't notice this during this maintenance and filming. I really appreciate your feedback because it helps me improve the quality of my content. I want to provide accurate information to my viewers, and I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience caused by my error. Moving forward, I'll make sure to triple-check all the details. Your input is valuable to me, and I'm grateful for your comment. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to my attention, and I hope you'll continue to enjoy my future content.
awesome work, waiting for part 20
Thanks! Working on it already :)
Hello, thanks for the videos. The mix screw from T.J, does it come with the rubber and metal o rings, I didn't see you install them
Hey! Glad the videos are helpful. The mix screw comes already with everything setup on it. Sorry I definitely didn't mention or show that. TJ has a video of his dual carb rebuild kit and here is when he shows the mix screw: ruclips.net/video/NrfK7eXGY8w/видео.html. Also if you check his shop page and zoom in on the screw you will notice it has the rubber and metal o rings. See here: shoptjbc.com/products/jet-kits-for-honda-vt600-87-08-and-vt750-98-08?variant=22624438190138). Hope this helps :)
Very good fit. I propose to put black silicone between the frame and the aluminum flat bar after painting the frame or glue for car windows before painting if it is to be permanent.
Thanks! Not 100% sure yet. I have to see other parts close to it to see if permanent is possible. If not I will be most likely using rubber between the bracket and frame to reduce friction and vibration.
@@zigmoto Rubber is also a good option
Awesome man, so cool to see you have an MV. Congrats.
👍
Great job. I've removed my engine and gonna put it back soon. My question is, I have two similar brackets. One slightly larger, can you tell me which one goes where please so I don't need to experiment whilst maneuverig the heavy engine back to place? Many thanks bro.
Thanks! Can you send me a picture of these brackets on Insta @zigmoto? Like this I will be able to let you know.
Thank you. I have a drag 800RR and this is the first maintenance video. Need more of these as the dealer charges $120 for an oil change. Keep these videos coming!
Thank you! I have more videos coming on the bobber build. Will try as well on the MV 😊
Does your clutch rattle and vibrate when the clutch isnt pulled in?
Not really except the normal vibrations from the bike in general. Are you experiencing these issues on your MV?
@@zigmoto yes I am
DM me on Insta @zigmoto with a short video of it like this I can compare to mine and let you know my thoughts. Also have you touched/changed anything that relates to the clutch? Another good source of info/feedback is the MV forum where you can post about this 😊
7:39 NEVER use a torque wrench as a breaker bar. Other than that, great video
You are right! 😅 I used what I had around but definitely not a good idea. Thanks for letting others know so they use the proper tool 😊
I'm about to start my shadow project and, I thing I'm watching all the youtube shadow projects. Hope to see your shadow fully build soon💪
Thanks!! 😊 More videos coming for sure. I too can’t wait to see my build finished 😬😅
Thanks for this video. By the way, what exhaust do you have?
I have the Silmotor exhaust - black ceramic coated version.
Could I convert it on the brutale dragster 2014 ?
You might be able to. The headlight on the 2014 is different so you will need to check all specs and match the differences but the same approach might work. Just check every details prior cutting anything I guess.
Did not warm engine before draining oil?
Good question! I actually did not. I normally would for other bikes that have the filter outside. However this bike has the filter inside which means you can’t really escape getting oil on your gloves. If you warm up then you have a high chance of getting burn unless you own some special gloves. So I decided not to warm up the engine for that specific reason. Also the debate of hot vs cold engine for oil change has been going on forever and so far there are pros and cons for both and not much difference at the end. Hope that helps.
Thanks for these videos dude!
Glad you like them!
Where did you buy the O-ring, filter, washer parts?
Directly from the dealer. They sell the kit that includes these parts.
Can you send the link of the short LED light? Cant find the one with small enough fan
The one I got was the Autoone H11 LED headlight bulb. Bought it on Amazon. The exact model sale page I bought from doesn’t exist anymore. Looks like they have new upgrades versions including this one: a.co/d/eEWWGA5
Omg man!! Great video !! Please make more video about mv agusta 800 rr
Thanks!! I will try for sure. Focusing on the bobber build these days whenever I have a bit of free time 🙂

Hi there, I'm interested to know what type of foglight are you using and if they are plug-and-play.
Hey! Sure thing. These are the Fenix Cree900 High Intensity LED Light Kit. It comes with the 2 lights and a plug and play wire harness that includes an on/off switch. I have had these since 2015 (were on one of my previous bike before). Definitely recommending them. For mounting on any MV you can use the Denali fender mount kit that’s what I’m using on my Dragtser.
nice dude, keep up the good work! I like the teardown
Thanks!
Hey it’s blockhead again. I wanted to ask you if you are experiencing the bar end mirrors coming loose? Mine come loose after every ride and it is not a joke anymore and I was wondering if you have heard about a fix for this problem? It could also be that I’m the only one having issues? Any suggestions are welcome 🤗
Hey, I had that early on when I got the bike. The mirror wouldn’t stay in position I configured. I actually had to tighten up the screw of the mirror and needed also to add some loctite to the screw.
Loctite is a good solution!
@@BlockHead805 Glad it worked for you too! :)
Thanks for this video, very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Bro I really appreciate that you took the time to make a video on maintenance for this bike. I hope it won’t be the last!
Thank you! Always great to see people appreciate it 😊 I am definitely thinking of doing more videos on this bike, but not sure yet about what (I have a couple of ideas). If you feel like you want to see a specific how to video let me know and I will definitely consider it 😁
@@zigmoto chain adjusting, coolant top up, things to leave well enough alone. Adjusting bar end mirrors…………
No purgaste el enfriador?
Do you mean the coolant of the bike or like the oil cooler?
this strut ..... is so freaking sketchy dude. these things are NOT meant to act as a motorcycle "Suspension" Engineer speaking here =) Greetings from Germany
This strut is definitely not meant to act as a suspension for sure. This makes that bike somewhat like a hard tail. Very common and used in many different models. But yes probably the best would be to go for a real hard tail kit.
Can I ask for Dragster 800rr’s Add Oil Capacity? Thanks Sorry for my poor english
Hey! It is around 2.5 liters. However don’t take my word for it as it all depends on how much oil is removed from the bike. So check the oil dipstick to ensure you are in between the two marks of the oil level. Hope this helps 🙂
Hello 👋 I have a 2016 Dragster RR & with the filter change I used 2.5 litres
try another oil fuchs sikolene xp pro
Thanks for the recommendation! Never heard of that one before so now I’m curious 🧐😁
@@zigmoto oh really i have the new brutale rr model 22 and i chance the oil with fuchs silkolene 5w 40 xp pro and is amazing
@@dimitrislavdas1187 I’ve been using Motul on most of my vehicles for years without any issues. I guess that’s why I don’t know that brand. Also I don’t recall seeing it in any local stores here. Anyway if it works that’s what’s important 😁
You think if i use the whole Fender without cutting It and use a sissy bar would be able put a seat on the Fender for a passenger?
Great question! I think the first thing to look at is the clearance of the tire and the bars. I don’t think the OEM front fender is wide enough so the bars would interfere with the rear tire (if you have the bars and fender that’s pretty quick to check). In term of withstanding the weight of a person, that’s a tricky one. The OEM fender was not design for this type of use. If it was me I would still try and worst case I would just buy an aftermarket one. When I mean try, it is basically getting it installed and tested in the garage sitting and bouncing on it. I recommend filming when testing so that you can review the video and see if any movement or bending happens while sitting on it.
Awesome thanks for the reply the sissy bar Is from a brand named tc bros and its actually bended like its not like a straight triangle has some type of spacers for clearence but yeah im gonna try that thanks!!
Cool! Make sure to share the results 🙂
Just did the oil change on my TVL. Thanks for your tutorial!
