hmm di naman sa akin at nagfafabcon naman ako, and small clothes lang nilalabhan ko here, tapos nasa tabi ng bintana so naiinitan sa umaga. Nag-aamoy kulob pag nagtry ako maglaba ng mga tshirt kaya nagpapalaundry nalang ako for that.

Hello! This is actually a good suggestion. I currently don't do that, like lock a certain budget, but I really need to start. I was actually hoping for more comments like this to create my own plan to managing my finances better. Thanks and likewise, be well.

I also agree that children should not be obligated to give. They were not born to be retirement plans. For anyone reading - keyword is /obligated/. However, I understand that in a lot of families, it's a case-to-case basis here in the Philippines. Our family has experienced a very bad recession a few years back and everyone in it feels the impact financially up to today. I don't have the burden that other breadwinners have because my mom is also working part-time. I am fortunate that my mom does not "obligate" me to pay certain bills and all that I'm giving now is out of my own decision and will, so no need to be sorry. I'd say we should feel sorry for those that are being exploited or shamed to give back money to the family by their own families. I still envy everyone that gets to keep their own money because their family is in a decent situation, or simply put, well-off and secure. But sometimes, we're the ones that will start our own "generational wealth". Well, that was a mouthful. I also have a lot of thought on it haha. Thanks for dropping by and have a lovely day.

@@LifebyEnzo It's an epidemic specially with Filipinos retiring with no money saved, no investments, dependent on their children due to poor planning. Don't be one of those people, just forewarning.

@@LifebyEnzo We westerners have been raised to have more of a sense of entitlement and less gratitude and sense of empathy and obligation to our families. It’s not right, children should definitely be more LOVING and there for their parents in the same way their parents were there for them. My parents were wealthy and so there was no need to support them. But had they been poor, I would have helped them however I was able to. You supporting your family will bless you, not destroy you. Keep doing what you’re doing, building your wealth and caring for those who cared for you. When you die, you won’t be able to take the money with you, but your family, sooner or later you’ll be together again and how you loved and cared for them will matter a lot. ❤
