Song Tournament: Poison
Tonight's episode of Song Tournament is going to focus on American Glam Metal Band, Poison. The way the game works is through a google search I determined the rankings of the Top 16 Poison Songs. They were inserted into an NCAA Basketball Tournament Bracket and I will go through each round and declare a winner until one song is declared the Greatest Poison Song ever.

Tonight's episode of Face/Off is going to show a matchup between hard rock artists AC/DC vs. KISS. The way this game works is I compare the first album by each artist and declare a winner, then I compare the second album by each artist and declare a winner, until we get to the very end and whoever wins the most rounds will be the overall winner. Album Rant Episode 41: Ace Frehley (1978)
Excellent work. Thank you, love the Scorps!
The best album of all time in my opinion. Masterpiece !!
Not a bad album, but I would love it if they had a different vocalist. LOL, even the cat was trying to knock the cd off the table.
Mick Mars had phenomenal tone on this record!
❤❤❤❤❤love Van Halen...🎉🎉🎉
I agree about the Roth screech.
Never really hated it but do not really want to hear at this point. He ran Razzle over, I thought they crashed ?
I absoulety love thr first two albums. Its a solid album. Home sweet home is a classic. Save our souls is their most underated song. I always like we need a lover, use it or lose it, and Louder then Hell.
This is my third favorite Motley record after SATD & TFFL but Dr. Feelgood is solid too🤘
Thank you for not placing Caress of steel last
Bro, not to be to harsh, but if you don't even know who the members are, (Wolfgang), or take time doing any research, maybe you should reconsider giving commentary.
I corrected the gaffe in the description.
That is an interesting accent, are you from Pennsylvania?
Nope, North Carolina my whole life.
Counterparts is WAAYYYYY to low.
Counterparts can easily be number 7 or 6 by my metric.
Never understood the hate for this record. Not their best, but there are some great songs on it. And no, I’m not talking about the two singles. Save Our Souls is the standout
Terrible album
I like Theatre. I was 13, perfect age for it. When a person lives throughout the band’s history, a person can really know the albums. We don’t rely on just looking back and comparing albums from the band. Music changes with the times, just like music fans do. Just looking back and ranting about it kind of makes people sound like posers. I appreciate your opinions, but not the overall approach.
ABSOLUTELY BEST HARD ROCK/METAL/ROCK ALBUM FROM THE BEST BAND THAT HAVE EVER WALKED ON EARTH LONG LIVE THE FUCKING CRUE STILL ROCKIN EVERY OTHER BAND OUT OF THIS PLANET
LOLOLOL. Have you seen Vince? Lolol
The audio makes this review unlistenable
It would make a way better EP Just cut half the songs off
Yes, if I were able to edit down the album by half it might look like this: 01) City Boy Blues 02) Smokin' In The Boys Room 03) Louder Than Hell 04) Keep Your Eye On The Money 05) Fight For Your Rights
@@matthewhipps3221 mine would be louder than hell Smoking in the boys room Save our souls Tonight we need a lover Home sweet Home
this was on the verge of being a bubble gum album their look changed and the metal fans questioned if crue were turning posers NOTE *( i grew up in the metal scene in phoenix arizona which at that time claimed to be the heavy metal capital of the world we partyed like it was i myself was in a band named JT RIPPER) about theater girls loved it guys tolerated it fortunately for heavy metalers there was this other new upcoming band we were hearing about named metallica this was a great almost surreal time to be young
I have been listening to Motley Crue since the first record when I was 14.... Then Shout at the Devil was amazing.. This Record was a joke and it sucked!! It was nice years later finding out that Nikki Sixx agreed with me. This record is leftover trash
I was eighteen in 1985 and totally stoked to get the new Motley Crue album after listening to Shout at the Devil every day for a year or more. And then I get home and drop the needle on Side 1 hoping to hear Shout at the Devil 2 and...aah not so much. My teenage disappointment much the same when listening to Judas Priest's Turbo by a year later.
Metallica Load, was a disappointed for me.
I just popped by real quick to say this album sucks it!
Too Fast for Love and Shout at the Devil were MC best albums. Theatre of Pain was a disappointment
my 3rd favorite Motley album
Dude, the echo on the audio is awful. And you sound wasted
Razzle was in the passenger seat and Vince was driving. They went on a liquor run. Not only that they hit two people in another car. Vince got off the hook with just probation and 2 million dollars in fines. A couple of the songs on Theater of Pain were originally from the Shout at the Devil era. Louder then Hell was originally Hotter then Hell. This was my first Motley album. My personal favorite song off this album Save Our Souls. Sixx wasn't the greatest base player but he wrote most of the songs. You should check out the book Heroin Diaries. Some crazy ass stories in it.
He got 8 weeks plus the above. Just saying.
👍🥁🎸🎵🎶🎹
Kiss all the way I want to have ACDC music sounds the same to me
The only real good songs are Stargazer and A Lght in the Black, the rest are flat. Oh, Starstruck is probably the worst song Dio ever recored, it simply sucks. And releasing an album with only six songs was very cheap.
Heeps 6th album. One of there best..greatest line up..great band..love heep. Since 1970..RIP David ken Lee and gary 🙏❤️🎹🥁🎸🎶🎵👌
Yes it was a great lineup and it's such a shame that 4 out of 5 of them are no longer with us. I also have a Look At Yourself review if you're interested.
Look at yourself is there 3rd album..and there heaviest..its my favourite heep album, a lot of heep fans would say demon's or magicians...theve been called poor deep purple....no..heeps block and step harmonies are magnificent...I love purple..but heep were so different from other bands..example...rain..then shadows of grief...circus then pilgrim...there not a folk rock band..in spite of lady in black...which im not fond of..heep are a classic heavy rock band...Queen said that heep were doing block and step harmonies..first...heeps influences were canned heat and vanilla fudge..ie not deep purple....👍
Sweet freedom 👍
Ps ive seen many bands live in 70s. Some 6 or 7 times i used to go to gigs every weekend Some weekdays went reading festival every year. In 70s..these are the best bands I liked..heep purple sabbath UFO with MS. Scorpions with MS. Thin lizzy. Magnum montrose. Rainbow 🌈 van Halen who i saw on there debut tour. Supporting sabbath saw zeppelin 3 times. Knebworth earlscourt and Hammersmith odeon. AC-DC with bonn. Lost count of amount of times id seen heep purple and sabbath. I saw these American bands at reading. Foreigner journey kansas styx Boston...so many great bands in 70s..but heep were my band. Loved them with David byron and John lawton. In 1980 when ken left i stopped listening to them for 15 years. Then a good mate saw one of there CDs in a bargain bucket in a record shop..different world..I wasn't impressed...then i heard sea of light...i liked it...but none of there newer stuff comes close to byron lawton era...but I still love heep.. so different and unique. Ie the park...bird of prey..what should be done...tears in my eyes..the only soft track on look at yourself is what should be done. David's vocals are magnificent....i liked your review on sweet freedom..👍lots of people are confused about heeps music. You cant pigeon hole them...which is why I love them..theve had some weak albums ..but some magnificent ones as well..like a lot of great bands...ups and downs. But real fans to them, even there bad stuff is great..
Wow you've seen a lot of bands, that's awesome. I hope to do something big with Uriah Heep soon, I just really need to familiarize myself with their more recent stuff. Glad to have you on the channel!
That album is the jewel in rainbow's crown 👑..epic magnificent..RIP Jimmy Ronnie and cozy 🥁 in my umble opinion..rainbow's best album..
Insane record… totally Overlooked…
No its EVERY ROCKER ON THE FKING PLANETS CUP OF TEA. you are not a true rocker. You could not ever unddrstand this time in rock. Not hating on you but. Its not your cup of tea.
6:01 - "Medieval themes of dungeons and dragons and wizards. And it was plenty bizarre for what it was, and I gotta say it may not be everyone's cup of tea but it's DEFINITELY MY cup of tea". I think you may have misheard me.
Yes! You are wrong, Cozy is standing between Ronnie and Jimmy)))
One of my all time fave albums .I was fortunate enough to see this tour in Australia , a life changing gig ,I even got the album cove sleeve as a tattoo
Tough choice at first but then I remember Powerage, Dirty deeds, Highway to hell and Back in black then the choice is obvious
Ac/Dc never had a disco era. Therefore they win.😅
Stick Around is a great tune.
I love both but lets be real. Acdc literally has 5000 of the same song lol. If you heard 1 acdc album, you have heard them all.
Uh....no.
@@johndef5075 uh yes. That's where their name comes from. Every song has those chords A C D C 😅
Back in Black vs Dynasty. Lol. Not even close.
LOL, yeah some decisions are easier than others.
Grew up on kiss and AC/DC, stuck with AC/DC after 1980. Didn’t get back into kiss until revenge. Going by the catalogue kiss has more good albums. AC/DC had brilliant singles after 1981 but not so many good full albums.
Love both of these bands they both been around for 50 years both or household name everyone knows who they are but for me it's kiss they're just way cooler and put on the best live show ever.
KISS forever.....
mix-n-match, my friends.
I prefer Kiss!!
AC/DC over kiss
Judas priest rythm section is subpar, and as good as Tipton/Downing are, murray/smith are better, toss up between Halford and Dickinson, this is easy, Maiden every day. Priest once or twice a week
Is thus for real?
i have the same question
If you like hard rocking consistency AC/DC is your band. If you like a mix of styles KISS is your band. You can like both if you want. Much as I like KISS more than AC/DC, AC/DC albums are better produced.
