Trying to reconstruct post from 12.28.2024 which somehow disappeared. Just keep up the good work which someone needs to do because the truth needs to be told. So don't be dismayed by WGN happenings. Coming from a news background you know that media is fickle. CNN and other media covered the invasion of an innocent country by a wicked and evil empire daily at first then nothing. Years ago WGN fired Bob and his wife then recently brought him back. Management there comes and goes but it remains a warm family oriented station. So imagine you are talking to that or other audience and keep on sharing the truth. Putin is an evil dictator and embodiment of an evil empire whose attacks on countries weaker than itself is part of a historical DNA that goes back hundreds of years. No regard for the lives of children, civilians, and historical sites. Someone needs to call that out and thats you and hard to do but you can do it and doing a great job. Keep up the good work as its more than journalism. You are also a teacher and universities would do well to share and listen to your broadcasts. It has life of its own regardless of media attention. For the UKRAINIAN ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN the events are just beginning in full for Christman Eve & Day (Jan 6-7) & are not commercialized but a very sacred celebration by the Orthodox around the world in Church & in visits with shouts of CHRIST IS BORN, responded with GLORIFY HIM/PRAISE HIM & much singing & blessings. When those of original Orthodox faith came to America & also other parts of the world & yearned for their own Church, some could not get Orthodox help, but received help from the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH to build... the agreement was they come in to Christ's fold then under the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH Church but would be granted allowance to maintain & follow many Orthodox Rites & traditions such as their own language (rather than Roman Latin), signing the cross east to west Orthodox way (rather than full hand west to east as Roman.Church did), celebrating Christmas on previous Orthodox day of Jan 7, etc etc. Only recently after 100's of years for some, the ROMAN Church went back on their agreement and required all the churches under Roman rule must follow the new Roman.calencdar & celebrate Christmas Dec 25, use ENGLISH, and other changes for the sake of unity the ROMAN Church said.
