Hey LosfeldRL, just came across your Thesis of air roll and im ready to go on a mind altering trip, lol. Great video and all the best in your careers!
@@tinotendampofu7563 Thanks man:) Don't hesitate to ask questions on stream, and take your time
Its only 10 minutes of the video and i already can say its better than the most 2022-2024 films, honestly, i never could think about some video from rl community would be so impressing, helpfull, and funny sometimes, thats actually gold, emerald, peak youtube, i cabt choose the words to describe what i thinking rn, my fav youtube video so far
Well, it's been 20 minutes I'm watching that video not on my native language and I quietly lost some points and feel bored but nothing special
@@boil_official LOL, so much for the exciting compliments !
@LosfeldRL Do you keep replying after a year after the vid came out? New sub.
@@boil_official I try

The narrator from the Stanley Parable breaking down the fundamentals of Air Roll is an inexplicable experience
should we learn both left and right air roll? it feels like i should for the sake of adaptability, but maybe it will just confuse me?
@@Kavukamari Nope. You can if you want, but it's gonna be really hard to master both. Only a few pros and streamers do it. You need to master one air roll and be able to do everything at least with one air roll
before i finish watching i want to guess why this is the "correct" or more efficient way to fly.. when you're not air rolling, a big mistake will be hard to correct because your car's rotation is stuck going in only one direction, when you ARE air rolling, that big rotation gets spread out over the arc that your air roll is tracing. any errors in your execution will get averaged out over the entire spin, so despite it looking out of control, you ironically have MORE control. once you learn how to do it, small taps are more precise, and you have access to many angles within a very short time span with your big adjustments. it's just that it's very difficult for new players to understand or even learn it, so many people don't understand why it's actually useful
im fucking dying at the chaos in the video under the voiceover
Hey RUclips....this is called "real content". Send me more of this and less clickbait
@@JamesDenman-m9m It's not RUclips, it's the entirety of the community and a whole generation...

Thanks for the help man, this has already got me two resets, just need to work on my ball control a little bit, keep up the great work and yes! I have seen other videos but always had issues flipping upside down you explained this better than coaches.

Is the clock for air-roll right the reverse clock of air-roll left?
@@AbbieWinters No, both air rolls can do clocks and reverse clocks
10 minutes in an this it unlike any other RL mechanical video I've watched an it's not even close. Great job so far.
Insane 😊
i feel you man
mm is shitty, tons of smurfs, tons of people getting boosted, to the point which people ho aree not smurfs, with perfect car control, double resets all the way, end up in my games, with people shitty as fuck next to them, or me, that is a gamble each game. 1/10 to 1/4 games depending on days is a real ranked game, others are either auto-wins or auto-losses. Normal games are even worse, no one here to have fun as you said. If by chrismas there is no UE5 RL with another take from psyonix about game modes, single account enforcing.. (for others that like to play with friends they should just create flex queues like in league) multiple accounts = ip ban. DOT. Then I will play again. Or else i'll just remake the game from scratch with better graphics and a less shitty architecture and make Epic eat dirt. I'm at this point of tilt, to the point I wish for dark things to happen to this company.
@@sonatine21 Me too. I have tried to reach content creators on Twitter and by mail, explaining to them the real reason RL is dying and giving examples of how to change it, because it needs a change, I've had no answer. I'm tired of content creators thinking they're so unreachable and then want me to like their "RL is dying video". I wish someone made a rl2 with my ideas, that can actually make the game better and more than that, make the game the way it was supposed to be. Do you realize that they haven't even adapted the main mode map to the current mechanical abilities ? WHAT THE FUCK.
@LosfeldRL I just challenged my guesses, won't go into the technical aspect but I was right, I know what happens with psyonix, so either the games die as a cash cow (or to be more exact as a "homme sandwich"), either devs stop being pussies and tells Epic it has to stop being that way, that they want to show love to their game instead of being livestock for fortnite tea (check job offers it's clear as f they "merged team" even if that means the stronger gets all they want), and if Epic refuses , they just turn away and build RL2 out of it. As a developer that is the exact feeling I had at my first job being underpaid as the ONLY dev while still "in school" when the product as literally A FKIN INTERNET PLATFORM CONNECTING FRENCH PEOPLE WITH HIGH PAY 1 DAY JOBS AROUND THE WORLD..(sry caps 5 years later i'm still really mad) 1 dev for 10 employees and associates.. It's the same, check job offers, the need more FX and "game designers that are not game designers but product designers" like in a marketing company. Check not RL but Psyonix Tweeter. Speaks for itself..
I have a theory that I'm too tired currently and too dumb generally to expand upon, but somehow I see a connection between this video and Eric Weinstein's proposal of geometric unity. Perhaps I'll revisit this comment as I learn more.
I came to the comment section before I watched and it seems to be that this video is a good video to watch so I am prepared to watch this 2 hour long vid
Can you do the same video but for kbm? Thank yoooooouuuuuuuuuuuuu.
Nope ! It's the same
I recently got back into rocket league after about a year. Every time I play rocket league I look up "how to air roll" tutorials where they are vague and don't ACTUALLY tell you how to do it (I may have watched Spookluke's once). I watched your video whole way through and I can definitely see how in-depth you went. I'm still struggling with calibrating and reverse clocks (its my first day), but I can already tell I am much further along learning through your video than any other of these "tutorials". Thank you sir for this masterpiece.
@@bruno_240z Thanks for your comment and you're welcome :) Don't bother about calibrating, they're mostly an introduction to reverse clock. Take your time, learn the tempo and then the rhythm. Ask me questions on discord or on a stream, I'll gladly try to answer if I know the answer
This is the best and well explained Tutorial I've ever seen on RUclips. You earned a new sub man thank you!!
Thank you, glad you liked it :)
i got it until the clock, i just cant understand what and how as my timing always seems off, ill continue practicing though but it feels like ive hit a wall
This intro tells my story spot on it’s incredible 😂 about my first time witnessing directional air roll and simultaneously being Smurf food😅😂
After 500 hours in steam and being absolutely crap (i struggle in gold in 1v1) I decided to check something to actually practice. Haven't practiced RL ever before other than just going straight to playing the game either solo or with friends. I can feel how good the video and the explanation is, but bruh, it melted my brain just by trying the clock 😂 I absolutely collapsed... I'll try to dedicate some time to it and see if I can learn how to have more car control. Thank you so much for the video!
I wish this video could be translated to my first language, its incredibly hard to understand all that is said in this video. I can tell this is a very important and great video but I just can't seem to understand it all...
Will this work for kbm users? Everyone says it’s such a good video I wanna also tru
@@0fflinerx Yes, it's just harder in the sense that you'll have to use more fingers than the joystick thumb
@@LosfeldRL so I can still follow along with this video? Also thank you for still replying even after a while since uploaded

Im scared to learn directional air roll as a gc whos used normal air roll since release. Set the goal of learning it next season. Can anyone give a rough estimate of how long it takes to learn?
@@Zane-zz5ht By yourself on average, 100h in a month. With my method on average, 35h if you commit to the exercises. It might take a bit longer because you already have free air roll muscle memory, but don't hesitate to ask your questions on stream, I try to answer everytime
@@LosfeldRL Alright I'll be making a start after this uni heavy week hadn't actually considered the benefits properly since I just assumed it was a minor improvement over air roll. Will it really help all that much with other mechanics such as flip resetting ect, I could see it being massively beneficial for transitions from airdribbles into flip resets but it seems strange from my pov as it looks like it might complicate it more. I currently microadjust both directions with standard airoll and would assume I'd need to learn both directions to achieve the results I have now? Thanks so much for the response btw wasn't expecting you to be active here on such a huge video congrats on the work as well, watched it once and will be rewatching as necessary.
This is so good
Came here bc if Sunless❤️🔥
Wait so when im learning airoll after ive understood how to move with neutral revolutions should I learn to make adjustments when the car is at half revolution(backward) as well as 75% amd 25% (sideways), thank you
@@rayrayfr Once you master the neutral revolution, you will learn non neutral mostly subconsciously. Always focus on the neutral and anticipate so that all you do is neutral
When doing it do I want to consistently move the joystick in a clock and lock in vectors. Or do I wanna spam directions and lock the vectors in?
This is why everyone in 2024 is so mechanical and it’s soo hard to rank up they all watched this comming into 2024 they time so many notes and they now mechanical gods
😂😂
finally found my maaan ! Legend i appreciate your dedication ❤ How about i am binding my airroll to R2 (forward+ right airroll) is it causing some problems how fast i do things or fine?
Guys I know you’ll hate me for this but I hate air roll but now I’m forced to learn it cause I can’t get past d2 in 2s🥲🥲
I'm GC without ever binding directional 😬 gonna learn it with you best of luck.
I would love it if you did a video on how to (1) make the best second-by-second decisions possible in a match and (2) how to be more accurate. If I'm honest with myself, those are the two core items hurting my gameplay the most. I am starting to work on DAR and I thank you immensely for this video. But my current issues are bigger than that. I'm often in the wrong place at the wrong time because I'm not good at adjusting my playstyle on the fly to match my teammates (some ballchase, some just sit back in the goal, etc.). And when I am able to make a decent move, I struggle to put the ball where I want it and where it should go. I realize these are big topics with many permutations to consider. Like what does a good decision generally look like when you ignore specific circumstances? And what does it mean to be 'accurate' especially when you need to consider the locations of your teammates and the other team? If you could take something as big as DAR and make it make sense, I bet you would have some awesome insights on these other topics.
This video has to reach the entire rocket league fan base one way or another. It's perfect

This is one of the best rocket league tutorials video I have ever seen on RUclips. Even after the first couple of exercises I started to realize what actually is going on with directional air-roll. I said... finally something that makes sense to me and was really learning something here. Thank you so much for spending the time creating this video. Also, love the intro too. I always wanted to learn how to do that too. It would be nice to see you make a video on that alone on how to create intros like that. I am sure you would get a lot of views and feedback on that as well. The tutorial intro would not have to be 4 to 5 mins long like you have yours now... I would just love to learn how to do something like that for 20 or 30 seconds. Anyway, hopefully one day you will consider doing the intro tutorial as well. Thank you! :)
@@GreyFoxRL Hey, thanks for your message man :) I'm glad you enjoyed the video. As for the intro, my very close friend and I did it, but he's the one behind the computer, I only directed it, so I couldn't know how to teach it. Basically, you have to know how to use an editing software and have good ideas ;)
@@LosfeldRL Do you have any advice on doing this method with KBM? I found myself on the first lessons watching your overlay and I would do the tornado spin with q and d and then reverse tornado spin with holding the q and a at the same time with same finger. In free play i could do this exercise and stay straight down the field. I am sure when I get to doing the clock stuff it will be harder to do on KBM. Do you have any suggestions/advice doing your methods with KBM?
