Just a light! I had to strip out all the guts in forget to fit the new electronics.

@@TheAwesomeSam it was on both sides! The bolts that held the front panel went through and held the back panel as well.

Nothing overly fancy. However, I would recommend something better than what I used. It didn’t bond well hence all the touch ups. Adding a good base coat primer and then a good exterior grade paint like Sherwin Williams emerald or an exterior grade enamel paint and you should be good to go.

I appreciate the question! Since my last video I have gotten married, moved into a new house, and switched my day job twice! That being said, I have a new shop that is four times bigger than the one in these previous videos 😄 I really do want to get back into making videos and I do plan on it. I appreciate the kind words! The base material was 3/4in thick komacel PVC that I got from harbor sales (I get 80% of my substrate from them) a local alternative would be the 1/2in pvc from Home Depot. Note that it is a different material with out the gloss surface and it’s more flexible, but it can be used outside without wiring about rot. The blue stuff is called oramask from orafol. You can find that on Amazon I think but tools today sells it as well. This vinyl is purpose mate for this application, but any cheap vinyl like the stuff you would find at hobby lobby should also work decently enough. Let me know if you have any more questions! Sorry for the late reply! I appreciate the compliment. I use a Zenbot 4x4 foot Cnc. works really well for the price. If I were starting all over, I will still choose that CNC for my first machine.

The board was just some thin 1/8 plywood that was glued and nailed to a 2x4 constructed frame. The texture is from a type of 3D wallpaper that I applied to the surface and wrapped around to the back. Thanks for asking! Feel free to message me over on instagram if you have any other questions.

I’m glad you like it! This is one of my personal favorites :) I can’t remember the name of the bottom font off the top of my head, but the top font for the main item listings was either Lobster or Altoys. Both look pretty similar so you have a couple options to chose from!

It was fine until I started drilling all the holes for the frame! Those metal shavings are no joke 😟

Thank you! It’s just a metabo hand held router in a carriage assembly. One of these days I’ll get a big boy 220v spindle. I have a new machine scoped out!

@@CrabtreeCreative Thank you, I have a onefinity cnc with a makita router but i'm limited to 1/4" bits. I want to upgrade to an 80 mm spindle. Great videos I want to learn more about what is possible with a cnc machine.

@@brandonpeters1987 I have seen good things about those Cnc machines! There is a guy near me with one I got to check out. You should be able to do most anything with 1/4 inch bits too. Immlrettt sire amana makes some nice 1/4 inch V bits you can look into. Definitely stay tuned for more videos in this Lorem ipsum series. I have some really cool ideas planned.

thanks for the tip! I have moved on from the water based latex and found the oil based enamel with a coat of primer to be a world of difference.

@@CrabtreeCreative A good, high build primer makes all the difference in the world. I still use latex, exterior paint as I hate oil based paints and the cleanup. Glad you found something that works for you.

@@FlipFlopPilot whats a good primer you would recommend?

@@CrabtreeCreative FSC-88WB is designed specifically for HDU but you can also use Kilz or Zinsser from your local big box store. Brushing or rolling it on works best in my opinion. Please allow plenty of time for the primer to dry. Since the HDU does not absorb water it has to come out of the surface of the primer. If you paint too early it'll bubble.
