  • @dcranch4820

    That was a very impressive climb. Sorry if i missed it but what was total distance to the top of your climb and what was remaining percent of charge left on your battery. Im seriously thinking about ordering the hunting model. I figure with my self bow, tree stand and pack ill have about 320 lbs. Would this Ubco handle that weight? I understand that that much weight would dramatically reduce my battery charge life. I woun't be going up any big hills but some fairly gentle short grades. Woun't be going over 2 miles round trip with it on my farm. Thanks for any help!!!

    • @boganbushcraft
      @boganbushcraft 20 часов назад

      Um I think all up from bottom to top was about 10kms It puts more stress on the battery going uphill as it’s drawing more power to get the torque needed to pull the weight. Downhill I gained a bit of power back from the regeneration of the brakes. Im about 95kgs and carry over 30kgs of weight with me more trips spread out between the front tray, and side panniers. It’s about weight distribution especially on the front tyres as they lose traction up hill. I’d highly recommend looking into one for hunting as just the stealth aspect is good enough for me. If you need any more advice let me know and I have a coupon for $250 bucks off your purchase if you need it

    The feedback is all good but why wait for them to do it. It seems like you know what you want, why not just commission someone to make it? Also, the available space for solar wouldn't get you much in the way of a charge - likely less than 10% in a day. Flexible panels are lighter but are expensive and don't yield what they advertise and rigid panels come at a higher weight penalty. Building a little dedicated structure with a couple 300-400 watt panels could charge the bike directly and quickly. The UBCO uses a 50.4v nominal battery and there are loads of solid MPPT solar charge controllers that can charge 48-52v lithium batteries directly from solar, without any need for the original charger or having to invert from AC to DC. You'd just need to pick up a matching male connector (same as is on the AC charger) to ensure that you can plug the solar charger into the battery. If you ever want to do something like that, I'd be happy to throw a diagram and parts list together for you.

    Get some of the screw pipe clamps. Like we use on radiator hoses. Then you can secure each joint of the chimney a bit more. If nothing more than peace of mind knowing it'll take a bit more than a stiff breeze to take apart.

    • @boganbushcraft
      @boganbushcraft 6 дней назад

    I will guess this thing is heavy. Hub motors,hills and heavy bike..bad combination for big hills and climbs. Hub motors heat up very quickly, what's the temps when going uphill?

    • @boganbushcraft
      @boganbushcraft 6 дней назад

      Mmmm it’s about 70kgs without passenger, this model doesn’t overheat as much as it just loses power when riding on really steep inclines. My temps stay around 90-98•c I just wish there was a power transfer to put more on the back and balance the power from front and back wheel to reduce wheel spins.

    Where is all the rattling noise coming from when your riding? I'd like to get one but i cant find any dealers close to my address in the USA. Hoping some dealers start up in my area! Does the battery have memory? Should you always keep battery charged up even after a short ride? How many charging cycles is a battery good for?

    • @boganbushcraft
      @boganbushcraft 14 дней назад

      Hey mate, the rattling was from all my gear. I have a handlebar attachment for my iPhone which I used for filming and it kept bumping on the uneven terrain. I can assure you the bike is more quiet than that haha. You can order straight from the website or use one of my codes in the description for a discount and they’ll ship it to you if you can’t find a dealer close by. The battery should be charged after a long ride, but it pays not to leave it plugged in if you’re not using it all the time. The battery states it doesn’t have a memory but it does degrade over time like all batteries.

    • @dcranch4820
      @dcranch4820 14 дней назад

      @@boganbushcraft Hey, thanks for the fast reply! Do you have an estimate of how long it would take to ship to Wisconsin at 54756 zip code. What company would be delivering to my address? Also is a smart phone required to change settings or modes for the bike?

    • @boganbushcraft
      @boganbushcraft 14 дней назад

      @@dcranch4820 Um, I'm not to sure sorry, you could email the sales team and get an ETA and shipping costs, sometimes if they can't ship direct they may try to find the closest dealership to you, you should try that option first. As for the smart phone, the "Adventure model comes with a dashboard with battery monitor and speed gage, while the "work bike" needs a phone to access the app to monitor any speeds or battery output. Have heard they have feet walking towards you and hooves walking away. That last bit may or may not be part of the story but thats what I remember being told when camping there with my school when I was 9 or 10!! lol. Still, people of the mist, of tuhoe iwi south of whakatāne / Ōpōtiki, deep in the ūruweras would be a goodie too. Top job buddy 🤙🏼

    This was really interesting. I was in a show in this theatre 30 yrs ago, before the big renovation. We were told a different story about the ghost, that it was a male actor who had taken his life in his dressing room, room 13, after a bad first night performance. Though it could have been a muddled version of the wailing woman as it's kinda similar.
