I'd recommend checking the filter pleats using a magnifying glass and a bright light source (if you didn't already). There were many specks of red, green and gray in my '22's filter that i wouldn't have seen without doing so.

Just did this myself about 2 weeks ago. Couldn’t open it up when it was pouring rain out! Now I have been able to but I agree it’s less noticeable in cabin. It does make you want to rev it out more :)

This was so informative and I watched just in time because I was going to remove my charcoal filter. The issue with me is that my stock parts are taking up too much space... coilovers, seats, wheels, brakes, rotors...You got yourself a subscriber.

This might not be an accurate comparison since the USDM engine air filter was tested in normal mode, while the JDM was in track mode. However, as you mentioned, the extra horsepower could be due to the less restrictive airflow through the (JDM) engine air intake.

24 BRZ tS here that I've had since March. 2:56 Ha ha yeah that clutch pedal really wants you off of it in the last inch. Spring will fix that. The GR/BR is faster than a 271hp WRX because it's a whole 600 pounds lighter.
