Hey everyone! My name is Patrick Evans and I run a Instagram page (plantingwithpat) where I document all my experiences with gardening, composting, and sustainability in my backyard! I have loved every bit of turning my backyard into a wildlife habitat, and furthering my knowledge with gardening. I will continue to document my soon-to-be recorded videos on my experiences, along with various activities for everyone to do at home! I will also be documenting my journey with houseplants!

Просмотров 262 месяца назад
School gardens have been around for decades, serving as a place for students to learn, grow, and play in a natural environment outside the traditional school walls. They are places where children can roam free, connecting to the earth, one little seedling at a time. Listen to the many students impacted by the school garden programming facilitated by Greater Newark Conservancy!

I knew the pot would look so nice, but seeing it in person was just amazing!
Sealing My IKEA Greenhouse
Просмотров 2,1 тыс.3 года назад
On the last episode of Live! with Plants, I talked about my IKEA Socker Greenhouse and how it’s aesthetically nice, but has its flaws with the gaps throughout the unit! These gaps were not holding the humidity to a place I liked so I sealed it up with DAP Sealant to see if this would help! Ever since I sealed the bottom part up and added more moss, the humidity has not dropped below 90%! Super ...

Here’s the lil’ video of my repotting session for the newest cuttings I was gifted! Both of these will flourish in bright, indirect light and will allow both plants to dry out in between waterings. So glad to have some new cuttings in the collection!

Repotting My Aglaonema Pictum Tricolor!
Beautiful. I have a tall one and today I just bought a short one I love the light edge with dark green in the center Have a blessef day.
Thank you! I just purchased a Sansevieria Whitney and want to re-pot it. This was a short and sweet demonstration.
What was the humidty at before? And did you seal the top with some sort of flap?
the humidity was usually below 30% before sealing. And I left the top part free so I can easily get in and out!
How do you know when it's time to repot it into the next size up of a pot? I have a non variegated portulacaria afra. And it's in the same size of pot you just repotted in, except my pot is terracotta.
Usually you will see roots popping out the bottom or top of the soil. Definitely want to repot if you see any signs of roots outgrowing the pot. Otherwise, when dry, I might sometimes nicely lift the plant up to see how root bound it is!
I've watch dozens of video's on this topic and this by far is the BEST video I've seen , quick and to the point without any nonsense and babbling ,,thank you so much for this well done video
I really appreciate that! Much better when you get straight to the point
💚🌳👍🏻
Hey ! I was just wondering why did you trim the roots ?
This was back in my beginner days so honestly I don’t know why I did! Probably saw someone else do it, but I don’t trim roots anymore!
Hello my friend just like to say what a good video keep up the good work fantastically be safe you and your family thank you❤❤
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! Stay safe too 🤘🏽
Found ya!!
