Alone with wildlife & northern forest
Hi! My name is Andrey! After retirement I decided to create videos about hiking and bushcraft in our northern forest, as I love wildlife and being all alone for days on end. I don't hunt and only like to fish on small rivers and lakes. I sleep by the fire at different times of the year and find old cabins to sleep in. I don't comment on videos so as not to spoil the sounds of nature, but captions will be available in some cases!
I Build a Dugout in 20 Days / Autumn - Winter / ASMR
Greetings friends, winter has come, Christmas and New Year holidays are behind us. I am posting a video of the complete assembly of the dugout, which I started building in early September and finished at the end of December. It took 23 days to create a warm cosy place in the wild woods. I used not every week, and not every time with me was my friend, a faithful little dog called ‘Kolobach’. Judging by the comments, a lot of people feel sorry for him, but don't assume the worst. Kolobach is not an easy dog. He is hardy and loves the forest, both in summer and winter. He is seven and a half years old. At home he sleeps in the warmth, but even in winter he likes to walk long distances. As fo...

I LIVE IN A DUGOUT IN WINTER - I FISH UNDER THE ICE AND EAT IT - CHRISTMAS - ASMR
Hi everyone! On Christmas Eve, me and my friend, a dog named “Kolobach” traveled to our cabin underground. After the cold weather came, the ice on the river froze and we went to catch grayling to fry delicious fish on a pan. I set up a small fir tree on the table and made wooden bunks so that I wouldn't have to use the cot anymore. We spent 2 nights in our cabin and headed home on the morning o...
Sleeping in a Dugout in a Heavy Snowfall - Replacing the Stove.
Greetings friends! After 2 weeks I went to my dugout to replace the tent stove and chimney. The new stove weighs 15 kg, twice as heavy as the tent stove. I was expecting a heavy snowfall, but winter didn't arrive until the first decade of December. Nevertheless, I risked to drive my snow “dog”. I set off at 7:00 AM and got there at 1:30 PM. It was difficult to navigate in the swampy terrain whe...

Greetings, friends! Once again, my friend “Kolobach” and I went to the dugout to install the folding table, lay the floor of chunks and finish the firewood tambour. There was snow in the last video, but it melted quickly. But despite the contrasting changeable weather, a new batch of precipitation in the form of snow fell 2 days later. On the morning of the fourth day the temperature dropped to...

Building a house underground. Day 15/16. No door yet, but a temporary stove & window
Hello friends, once again I headed 20 miles from home to a construction site. I didn't take my little friend, a dog nicknamed “Kolobach”, as I had to carry the stove and make a big circle on the asphalt. There are no roads here, and I brought the stove, which weighs 8 kilograms together with the chimney, on my hands. Also, brought fireproof materials for the chimney outlet and plexiglass, which...
Building a house underground. Day 13/14 - Winter is coming soon / Part 7

Hi, friends! Last week my little friend named “Kolobach” and I went to the site of the future cabin, located half underground. I had planned to finish building the walls as well as the whole roof, but the day is getting shorter and shorter and a lot of time is taken up by traveling. So I only managed to build the roof halfway, as well as the vestibule for storing firewood. Next week the plan is...

Hi friends, it's been a difficult phase at the moment, where we need to urgently finish the construction of the roof. Autumn is in full swing, and the night frosts that have started are often followed by heavy rain, which was missing in the summer. On the first (10) day I laid 2 walls up to the middle and started building the roof. But on the 3rd day there was inclement weather with heavy downp...

Hello, friends! Autumn is in full swing, and my little friend the boy dog, nicknamed ‘Kolobach’, and I went on a long journey last week to continue building our dugout. BUILDING A DUGOUT - DAY 6-7 - PART 4

Hi friends, I'm continuing to build a house underground. This time I brought with me homemade brackets for fastening logs. Their ends are cut so that the staple not only fastens the log, but also presses it down. Autumn has come. The day is getting shorter and shorter. I had planned this amount of work for 3 days, but got it done in 2. Next week I plan to temporarily cover the roof with a tarp ...

Building a house underground. Day 4. This time I made it alone without my little friend. September has started but the weather is still hot and dry. I have to drink a lot of water and eat less during the construction process. This time I brought a ten-liter canister for water. First, I dug 4 holes for the corner posts with a depth of 40 centimeters. Next, I prepared logs 2 meters 30 centimeters...

3 Days of Bushcraft between bogs - building a dugout, part 2. Hi friends, this time a friend of mine, a dog nicknamed “Kolobach”, ventured with me on a bushcraft trip. I don't usually take him on long distance runs. It takes about 20 miles of running. But he was very happy to support me in building the dugout and was pleased with the trip into the distant woods. 3 days in a hut among the swamps I spent this time. It was the beginning of August, and after a long rest I went to the forest, to the hut of a dead hunter, which is located between the swamps. I got there in the evening and cooked pea soup with chicken. The next morning I went to look for a place to build a dugout. Having selected the place of construction, I got down to business. Removed the ...
Overnight in a hunting lodge away from people, in the woods near the marshes - ASMR

This time I spent the night in a hunting hut away from people, with vicious mosquitoes following me everywhere. The owner visits this hut only in autumn and winter during the hunting season. According to the forecast it was supposed to rain heavily with a thunderstorm, but the cloud passed over the swampy area. In the next video I plan to start building my cabin or dugout. Thanks for watching!

Hi friends, I recorded the first part of the video of my river rafting trip to the places where I was in winter at the end of May, but my camera failed me, and thus the second part had to be re-recorded in June, when the "White Nights" came, the trees were covered with leaves, and there were evil insects. I continued down the river and planned to visit 2 more huts. But one of them, which is by ...

Excellent construction, the very best in RUclips. Please consider the following for even better video. Booties for the dog’s paws, a food bowl and a water bowl for him, and a bed for him. You think dog is your friend but actually dog is your child, Treat him accordingly. Also if you put another sheet of plastic on the 1:54:44 outside of window, air would be trapped in between the two sheets of plastic and will give better insulation, preventing heat loss through window, But absolutely first class construction.

How does your pal get to your cabin if he doesn't like to ride in the sled?
He's tough. It can cover 40 miles in heavy snow with ease.
@Alonewithwildlifenorther-kw1ns awesome, what breed is he?
@@Cornelius798 He is a backyard breed mixed with one of the hound dog breeds. My wife brought him in as a puppy. I doubted that with his short legs he would be able to run through the woods, but I was wrong. He runs with ease even over difficult terrain. He also swims in cold water.
Bravo ❤❤

Sound effects?
What minute?))
1er com.
Thank you so much!
@@Alonewithwildlifenorther-kw1ns C'est mérité.
I’m new to the channel. Can you please let the pup ride in the sled. And put him in the cabin when you get there. He has no protection on his feet. I’m sure the pads on his feet are frozen. Thank you .
He doesn't like sledding, but he sleeps at home. He's 7.5 years old. He travels long distances easily, and only the thaw is dangerous for him when the snow sticks in clumps on his fur. I'm keeping an eye on it. Thank you!!!
The storage tin that held the meat looks like a WWII German ration can.
This is a gas mask case from World War II.
@Alonewithwildlifenorther-kw1ns As usual, I was half right.
Great video, Ime interested in the cabins. Are they old and who built the can anyone use them
Thank you, Helen. As long as it's not a nature reserve or preserve, it's okay to live in. But the land must be leased or owned.
not your cabin stay away
There's just not enough said about solitude. Merry Christmas.
Greetings friends! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May all your dreams and wishes come true in the new year 2025! I personally wish you health, family happiness, prosperity and peace in the world!❤💯
Hello friend! Kolobach is back. He's such a cool little dog. He has nice fur, too, and a warm undercoat. I can't get over what a fine shelter you built. I like it better than the older small house in earlier videos. Fresh fish, in the middle of a snow-covered landscape, in a nice warm dugout. Can't go wrong with that. Your cold weather wear is very nice and looks extremely comfortable. It's now 21* F in Maine with temp going to 10* very similar weather to yours. There's plenty of snow, too. That bunk is going to be comfortable and more stable than the cot. All the comforts of home! Mice will think, what a fine home someone nice has built for us. They come with the territory. As usual, l enjoy seeing you and the adventures you share. May the new year bring you good health and contentment. Stay safe. 💛❄️⛄️
Thank you, my dear friend! I wish you all the best in the New Year, and most importantly, good health. Merry Christmas!❤
Very nice dugout sir. I'm not surewhat country your in but in the US they won't let us build anything like this unless your on private land. Merry Christmas
@@jamesmikesell5458 Thank you. You can build here, but with the condition that it is not a nature reserve, or a wildlife preserve, as well as compliance with fire and environmental regulations for common use. But for me it is still better to buy a plot of land for private use.
Same old thing again and again and again 😢
How come these guys never have a real axe?
It's dangerous to walk around with a real one😁
That's great! I'd stay there for 2-3 days too. Any plans for a “Construction from start to finish” style video? 💙
Thank you! I'm planning a video like this before the new year.
I enjoyed the opening music! Out with the old stove and in with the new. It'll definitely be a much enjoyed upgrade to keep you warm longer! So, how do you like your new getaway? Using your snow "dog" was smart, especially since you probably expect snow when you're out there. Kolbach stayed home with the family to be spoiled and stay warm, lol. Great job on the stove, and what an improvement in burn times, as well as wood usage. I'm so happy for you! What a beautiful place to hunker down in while hunting or just getting away from people for a while. Thanks again for sharing.
Greetings, friend! Thanks for the comment! “Kolobach” stayed home with his mistress. This time I did a big lap on the asphalt. Not much snow yet. The problem was crossing the swampy area. The new stove is many times better. You don't have to clean the chimney every 24 hours. There is a separate compartment for ash and the chimney draught is regulated. Steel 3 millimeters. Later I will add bricks around the circle. Slept like a baby))) I'm not going to sleep on a cot for a long time and plan to install wooden bunks, so that it was possible to spend the night in two. Frosts of up to -20 °C are coming. Ice should appear on the river. I will try fishing. Also inside the dugout there are still a lot of plans, and I also think to install a small window in the form of a vent on the back side.

Thanks.

Need to add two doors and more lighting in the places were it's dark
hi! thanks for the new video! I'm excited because now you can see with every step how well thought out the whole project is! the idea with the table is brilliant! a table that is also a curtain and protection for the window! by the way, I think this oven is funny, I already noticed it in another video of yours! it has the smoke outlet on the side where the door is, I've never seen that before, is there a reason for that? I'm looking forward to your next videos, keep on rocking!
Thank you! I'll be changing the furnace soon, as well as installing an exterior door. I'll finish the ceiling and walls. And I'll be able to sleep through the worst of the cold.
Thank you again for bring us a long, to your shelter. The shelter is a very nice and a nice place to spend with your 4 legged friend Kolobach” : he is a sweet heart. I am happy he wants to stay in side at night it could be very cold when the fire outside goes out.
It wouod be nice ig your heater would be made of bricks or stone..it can make you warm all day
❤❤❤❤
I absolutely love this place! What an excellent place, even in the cold of winter you'll be warm and secure. Is there ice fishing on the river during the winter? That would be a good way to get food other than what you bring with you. Kolobach is such a good dog. Older but full of spirit. The chunk floors are interesting. Is there an advantage to doing the floor this way? When in Maine I'm going to use some of your ideas for storage areas and possibly a root cellar. Do you think you'll eventually bring in a different stove, or will that one be sufficient? I appreciate how you built the table and window cover combo!!! Hats off to you my friend. I'm going to use all you're great ideas for my camp in Maine! Another great video showing your skills in the outdoors and survival. Your camp is wonderful. Your channel is great and you've put so much work into it. I bet if someone had told you even 5 years ago youd be doing this youd have thought them crazy! Yet here you are, achieving your minds dream. Thank you so much! 🫶 Bravo my friend! Bravo! As an afterthought, if you drilled two more holes higher up you could put a rod through to secure the window when up.
Hello, dear friend! Thank you for another warm wishes! I am glad that my videos are doing good for people. You are absolutely right. If someone had said 5 years ago, before I retired, that I would be doing this, I would have definitely twisted my head)). Why I did the floor this way. The good thing about a dugout is that there are no drafts from below. It was possible to attach a special carriage to the chainsaw and saw flat boards, but a lot of waste in the form of sawdust. But such a floor is always easy to replace, and it does not bring discomfort. I will bring another stove as soon as the snow falls about 20 centimeters. In winter I plan to go fishing on the neighboring rivers. In my first videos I have already demonstrated this when I returned to other huts. Thanks, friend once again. Good luck to you and have a great day. The main thing is health, the rest will all work out!
