We are just having these installed now a change over from a different type. The first thing I suggest you do is get your document number in , I've never seen these things before but you skipped it. I would have thought to change into driving status would be unnecessary doesn't the thing switch you to driving status to automatically after 2 miles?

I didn't see anywhere where you performed the tractor pretrip....I only saw the trailer pretrip....and how did you do the trailer pretrip when you had to drive to the trailer? confused

don't you have to be on duty for at least 15min before filling out DVIR or it's a violation? any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated
