Any one else this type of configuration of W123 turbo diesel. My '84 W123 300D turbo diesel air filter is in another location. Wonder is this a base 300D and someone added a turbo later?

At 6:35 I assume since you had modified the bulb where it only had wire on one side at least when you put in before 6:35 on the left side and it was not working. At least all you had to do was turn it (flip it in the socket) to get it to work and when it was in there wrong way it did not damage the circuit board, correct???

What kind of W123 is this with the air filter located where it is?

At 1:47, why do they send the bulbs like that with the wire bent over both sides? Do they work like that in some instrument clusters with the wire bent over both sides?

do you think you could of managed to remove the dash without removing the screen now that you have done this?

Mine has the same issue when turning the key. No response from the starter but works when when i touch the wire together. Do you know what the problem was?

I know this is old but for anyone wanting to do this don’t replace the battery light with LED is is part of the charging system and it needs resistance of incandescent bulb to work properly.

Thanks for the video! I have 2 questions. Those febi discs works well? I installed febi engine mounts and worked worse than the old ones. The other question, only by removing bolts and maybe loosening center bearing bracket is there enough room to temove the discs???? Thanks a lot

I have an ‘84 300D Turbodiesel. Mercy’s bearing 400K miles with style & grace. Her window switches have tiny little shiny steel balls, slightly smaller than a BB, instead of the plastic tips at the end of the 2 springs that hold the rocker piece down. I’m rebuilding the switch button itself where the plastic has crumbled next to the spring. I’ll use a dab of jbweld & shape the plastic with a dremel tool. Great job on your wood refinishing video! I’m doing some of that right now.

I love it. I just got my 1981 240D back on the road that I bought a few years ago for a mere $1000, with a new set of Michelins, lol! I let it sit for a while, and decided to get it going. Tranny doesn't want to shift; have to drive it like a manual - let off the throttle and it'll shift. Lot of small things to get done on it, but hey, they don't make them like they used to! I've been driving 240Ds and 300SDs for the past 27 years. Congrats on the 'free' car! Rust looks kinda bad, but hey, I'd drive it! A little tinkering here and there and it still has life left in it. Thanks for the video.

Marking the striker position with a pencil works well as ruclips.net/video/ANOcD3G25Mo/видео.html shows. His video was not as good at showing the mechanism of how th striker works so thanks.

How tight is the new gear when it slides on after removing the brass sleeve? In other words is it hard to get it on the shaft?

My w124 300E is doing this exact CLUNK when you go from P to D, or D to R, or R to D. Did you fix it or find the root cause?
