Peyton put the nails in the coffin of the Bobby Layne curse. It started when the Lions were lucky to get St. Brown in the 4th round and Jacksonville passed on Hutchinson. That's when the curse started to weaken.

While I've been a lifelong Steelers supporter, the Lions have always had a special place in my heart. After learning about their history with the 'curse' and witnessing those egregious referee calls, I'm now proudly cheering for both teams.

You forgot the fact that the Lions lost home field advantage in the 2023 NFC Championship game because of a fixed outcome. The Lions defeated the Cowboys, only to have the outcome reversed when the referees betting interests called and had the game reversed. They pretended not to know about an eligible receiver in the end zone, even though there is video proof it was not the case.

You forgot a major officiating failure. During the bogus pass interference against Dallas, Dez Bryant illegally ran on the field without his helmet and argued with the refs. That should have earned him two 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.
