Summerboard review from a real summerboard customer
Yewww! Love it!
For 2000$ 12 miles range is Horrible ngl. Basically putting Extra Wheels under a budget Board 😂
Good video.
I got pretty decent my forst week, but my dumbass didnt wear a helmet but had all the other padding on. So i feel and smacked my head on the road really hard. Hurt like a bitch, this thing is no toy but aint giving up. I can tell ya ill never not wear a helmet again. Please wear a helmet yall
I feel like you had a lot of last things you wanted to discuss in this video
I've been trying to learn that
Yeah as opposed to all those fake summerboard videos... 😆🤦♂️
Thank you for the video. Nice to see another Grunt out there rippin !!!
Great review so much better then alote out there.. my one question is should u go straight to the freashies ??
Thanks. Well the freshies definitely make it easier especially over rough surfaces. The freshies are a game changer!
Thanks’ you l’for a very detailed and comprehensive review… as a snowboarder for over 20years myself, I am thinking about getting one … :-D
Pull the trigger!! Get some carves practice in before snow starts falling
I got a pint and xr next is this 🤙
Which do u prefer riding onewheel or summer board? Im a snowboarder as well and been eyeing these 2 products. I own a eskateboard already and wanting something new.
Well I prefer the onewheel for cruising, commuting, or trail riding. However if you want that snowboard feel you definitely want the summerboard!! Carving and spinning on the summerboard is unmatched in comparison with any other eskate board.
Where did you get those wheels and that griptape?! I want to customize mine.
The wheels are Nine balls and the griptape is the original I just panted it with a marker
That looks so sick. Did you buy those wheels on the website? Or can you buy any longboard wheels? And where did you get the blue shoe holding pads?
@@piano_russian1566 I bought them on Amazon. I spray painted the footholds myself
Do you know if you can put any longboard wheels on the summerboard? Do any kind of longboard wheels fit?
@@piano_russian1566 any size from 72mm-76mm should work. I believe theirs are 74mm if im not mistaken.
Mine just came today! And naturally it's freaking rainy. I have an e board but it's so an stiff. Looking forward to the summerboard
whats the better experience ? Can u make a video about the difference about "one wheel" "summerboard" and snowboard riding.
did u ride Freebord before ?
Nope never rode a freeboard before but i do snowboard every winter
what the holy shit !
How fast do you ruin the wheels tho ? looks like they would be ruined fast
That snowboard in the background looks so wide lol
158 wide!
Let’s go Michigan! I love snowboarding and am totally thinking of getting the summer board. What would you say, if any, is the main deterrent or issue about the summer board? And is it possible to carve on the summer board (like the pencil thin carve you can leave on a snowboard when your edge locks in)? Have you had any issues with the board after a year? July is coming up again in Michigan along with that snowboarding itch I usually get. I hope that this can be a fix. Thank you so much. Your video has already been so helpful. I know it’s been a while but I hope that you can respond. Subbed!
Can you not see the product in action with your own eyes?
Their quality control is horrible. My board with less than 50 miles already needs a bunch of work
These look fun as sh*t! I have over 9000 miles on onewheels and although I know that the summerboard can't offroad like the onewheel, it looks like it may be even more fun on pavement. I'm ordering one right now (while my wife is out of town).
It's definitely on a whole other level! If you love shredding the summerboard is a must!!
@@bryanbelcher689 I just order one about 2 hours ago! Now I will be just dying for it to get here. By the way good video Bryan.
@@donnyh3497 hell ya!!! Thanks.
@@donnyh3497 update?
@@no1up I have over 200 miles on it now and the damned thing just keeps getting more fun. I think developing a crack habit might take over your life less than this. I was out until 2 in the morning last night riding it all over downtown Denver carving through the crowds and whipping out 180s and 360s and just having a blast. People constantly going "Whoa! What is that!??".
What’s it like high siding or like catching an edge with bindings...on pavement
It's easy to bail with or without the bindings on. The only hard bail is if you catch an edge while sliding backside..in that case you better be good at running backwards and better be wearing a helmet haha.
awesome review! Great advice for new beginners too!
it just costs way to much haha
i’d get one but they’re $1,500
Onewheel is the way to go
USED TO BE LEIFTECH, they had to change the name because of how horrible the product is and the lack of any support, THEY KNOW IT WILL BREAK WITHIN A YEAR. They warranty will show it. Do not get this board. I have one that I haven’t been able to ride for a year. THEY WILL NOT SUPPORT YOU WHEN YOUR BOARD BREAKS DOWN. IT WILL BREAK DOWN! 3 MOTHERBOARDS IN 6 MONTHS
Woah using caps lock...this must be truthful and the same for everbody. 🤦♂️ sounds like you had a bad experience, doesn't mean everyone will. I wouldn't go out of my way to create a vid to entice people for something I wasn't myself extremely pleased with. Honestly it's the best customer support I've ever dealt with.
How do you like this compared to Onewheel? Which do you like better? And why?
I love both, both snowboarding is my favorite thing so that being said I'd give the edge to the summerboard because its the closest thing to snowboarding.
What kind of wheels do you use and do they last any longer than the stock ones?
How did you get the custom setup?
Painted the stars on my griptape by hand and used spray paint. Bought some aftermarket wheels.
That is quite the neighborhood lol. Nice shredding dude! I just got this thing dialed in and it’s so addicting
Addiction is real!! Awesome to hear.
For the battery, do you apply vinyl all around or only on the top part? Nice video btw
Im from Michigan as well! I ordered my board back in early May of this year, still waiting on it. the wait has been killing me. but has given me the time to think about all that I want to do to personalize it. would be awesome to ask you some questions as well! great video by the way!
Weird, i'm thinking about buying one but i don't see anyone riding switch on yt. Is it at least possible? Cause as for me it would be the major attraction about the stuff :)
its very possible, I own one and I can tell you the reason you don't see switch a lot is because most people aren't comfortable with riding switch on the snow let alone riding switch on this harder to balance on summerboard. One of the reasons I bought the summerboard was to be able to practice my switch so come winter ill be feeling confident on the snow. If you can master switch on this board the snow will be a breeze! So much fun!
^ I own one too and this is all true ^
How much ride time do you really get out of a one battery charge? Do you think I should order an extra battery initially?
Hello, I own a SummerBoard SBX (Premium Model). It really depends on how much riding you will be doing. If this is purely for recreation and fun then just stick with the one. If you plan to commute or ride your board for longer than 3 hours then you should buy a spare. I rode my board for roughly 3 hours before the remote indicated it was almost dead. However, my board was not fully charged when i started and i did limit the speed via the Companion app they offer.
At first when you're learning it'll last for hours. Once you get good and if you like to ride fast and do lots of slides you're lucky if you get an hour
Great review bro! As a fellow snowboarding Michigander, I REALLY WANT one of these. It was cool how much you compared it to snowboarding because that’s kind of the point of the thing. I think the part about the learning curve is analogous too (NOBODY is good or even decent at snowboarding the first couple times out). Also, Go Blue!
i noticed yours had designs on it. How do you customize it like that?
You can change out the griptape and wheels to add a custom look
Are you from Pittsburgh?
Nope I'm in Michigan
bryan belcher nice I’m from Pittsburgh area and I seen you shredding on the Facebook SB owners group I’m waiting for my board still I feel it’s going to be a long time. I ordered it a week ago. Haha
Just ordered mine! also from Michigan, looking forward to shredding year round as well
Awesome!! Where at in Michigan?!
Cool. I'm from the Mitten too. Motor City area. I just got mine in the mail today. I'm excited and definitely expecting to fall a whole bunch. :)
RIP you have been fooled the sommer board is a POS and this guy is fake
Great overview. While riding fast, what happens if your battery suddenly dies (Like does the board cruise freely to a stop, or does it brake and stop suddenly and potentially throw the rider forward)? Thanks
Board rolls out. If you're on a downslope you can keep riding with no issues until gravity finally catches up with you
Thanks for the review man! Do you ever catch an edge like in snowboarding?
Every once i do. Easy to bail when i does happen tho
Great review , looks like a blast!
Can you bail with the foot straps
I'm gonna need a banana-to-battery scale action, good vid though
I thought the summerboard was cool but then realized it is just an electric freeboard
And how is that not cool? lol
I was thinking of getting one of these. Is the turning agile? Like if there were people would I be able to easily maneuver around them?
Those roads seem pretty rough and you're handling em. How's the board holding up?
They really upset many initial customers so much with the incomplete boards. Seems to have come around much better as a complete product.
for being a real customer the intro sure did sound scripted lmao
I'm an excellent speaker perhaps. Not to mention the 30 takes you dont see
How's this thing holding up? Any issues? Also do you hop up and down curbs with it?
