    Thank you for this video! I don't have epilepsy, but I according to this video and what I have researched. I believe that this is the type of seizure I had back in May 2024. I'm not entirely sure about what I looked like on the outside, but I remember losing consciousness in the shower and all going black. All of my senses disappearing into a dark void. It all felt like a dream, which always leads me to believing I am in bed and it is all a nightmare. However, once I begin to gain consciousness, my hearing came first and I heard screaming. (from my parents) Then my vision came, I was being dragged out. Then my touch began to come back and I remember climbing back in the bathtub and sitting there with my head on the side. I was in a daze, not entirely sure of what happened. I just remember being exhausted. (which isn't normal for me, since I am naturally energetic) According to my parents, I was super pale and my lips were blue. I think they also said I stopped breathing for a moment, and I was choking on my tongue. (it was curling in my throat, to which my dad put his finger in to pull it back, but I bit him.) All of this I didn't know, and only found out when they told me. I was completely unconscious during the seizure. I do have a slight de ja vu from 4 years earlier (dec. 2019) when something similar happened. I just always associated it with a simple passing out. Except the one in 2019 was at a worship service and apparently my tongue curled back. I was again unconscious in that dreamlike state (in the black void).

    No matter what....side....time....and you judge if 911 is needed sadly you the person whom having sezuirs dont know what is like like for others they might be trained..know .or completey scared...so educate them anyone when you meet....i have a brain tumor and epilepsy i tell them if you you k after take me to e.r cause sometimes im not me im not here after hours or day. If someone who's never experienced i tell them call 911 cause i may stop breathing and another person even on phone to help remind steps can calm..it helps maybe...scary for both can't imagine for one holding me

    I get mad when people try to move me while I'm blacking out because it's like damn I can't even tell which way you're trying to lead me is up down left right I can't even function my brain is forcing me not to do anything so I'll be getting frustrated when people try to get me to do something while I'm blacking out because it irritates me because I'm like I can't even understand the words commeing outta ur mouth if anything just grab me to stop me from falling cuz trying to force me move is just going to make me like outraged because I already feel like I'm fighting my body just to stay up and then somebody's trying to force me to move it's like I'm fighting them too and it really just be stressful because I'm not comprehending at the time but if somebody grabs me I can focus and come back and get back and then be normal but if somebody tries moving me I feel like not only am I battling my blackouts to stay here I feel like I'm battling them too because they're trying to do the same thing that my blackouts doing which is trying to force me to move in a direction that I'm not trying to move and it really gets aggravating and I just really hate how have so many of them in a days time that it literally be making me stop what I'm doing and I'll have to wait till I come back just to even try to remember what it was that I was doing and then it's like I can't hold a train of thought cuz of my blackouts and it really holds me back on the things that I need to do because I literally have to recall what the fuck it was I was doing in the first place

    Like if that lady that was grabbing that guy's arm and trying to lead him to walk that would never work with me while I'm blacking out because my number one rule is sit down or f****** fall that would never work with me while I'm blacking out because my number one rule is sit down or fall down one of the other because once I start to lose my sense of direction that's when I hit the floor like because I don't know which way is up down left right anything I can't even hold my body up because I don't know which way is up so it just forces my body to relax and go down but sometimes I'll start shaking because I'll fill my body trying to relax and I'll try to hold it up but then I just start shaking usually at that point if I still have any consciousness left I tell myself to sit down and just breathe because otherwise it's like my brain even tries to shut my breathing down and I used to hold my breath whenever it started but now I can coach myself to breathe during it but I still feel like I'm suffocating when I come back it's like Air isn't satisfying enough and another thing is it's like whenever I'm fully blacked out I can't feel my body I blacked out and busted My head wide open it knocked me unconscious but when I woke up my body still felt tingly and I can't feel pain when I'm blacked out it's like I hear everything around me but I can't comprehend shit when I hit my head all I heard was the thunk and I was like what was that I was like wait I can think oh shit that was probably my head I'm probably not unconscious because my blackouts don't last this long and literally like that's what was going through my head while I was unconscious like I was knocked out but I was still conscious like I could actually comprehend things when I was knocked out which was different than how I was when I was blacked out that's how I noticed a difference right away

    I have those also but if mine lasts too long my body loses it sense of direction like I feel like I'm floating in water and it's forcing my body to relax and then I feel my body a little so I keep it trying to hold it up but it's like my brain's forcing it and forcing everything to just relax and so most of the times if I reach that point I'll hit the floor because everything goes limp and I just feel real shaky and jittery when I come back because I feel like my blackouts make me weak I call them blackouts I never knew what they were I mean I went to a cardiologist once and all they told me is that I don't have a heart problem

    • @MeganWilcox-yi4dn
      @MeganWilcox-yi4dn 8 месяцев назад

      For some reason I used to hold my breath whenever it started but I don't anymore because it makes it worse and I just got to tell myself to focus and breathe but then it still makes me start panting for air when I come back because it feels almost like I don't have any air Even when I'm still breathing almost like I'm suffocating and it makes it worse it makes the tingle in my head worse and my eyes worse and it's really exhausting coming back because it feels like literally like my body is trying to shut down and not come back on and when it cuts back on it's so draining just to come back and it makes me feel jittery and weak

    • @MeganWilcox-yi4dn

      Do you sometimes forget if anyone's around you because your mind goes blank and even if somebody is talking to you it's like you don't even know that they're there really until you come back and then you got to remember what it is that you were doing because your mind is like blank and it's like where am I when you come back and sometimes I see people that aren't there and I'll be talking to them and I don't understand how I'm talking to them because I can't even talk to a real person while I'm blacking out because I forget they're there and it's like if they're talking to me my brain can't understand what they're saying I just keep saying what what and that's if it's a real person but if nobody's around sometimes I see people that aren't there and I'll start talking to them and I'll just be like it's okay it's just a blackout but then when I come to all the way I notice nobodys there

      What do you mean by that? You're offended that the actors happened to be from two different racial groups? Is it really necessary to insist that every pair of actors have to be the same color to be hired for the part (or people in real life for that matter, since interracial couples are fairly common)? Is epilepsy supposed to be a condition limited to one racial group? This, ladies and gentlemen, is what ignorance and racism look like.

    That "do not call 911" list at the end is unclear. Is it (a) and (b) and (c) or should one call 911 if any of (a) or (b) or (c) apply? And in the second case, since one cannot know if a stranger has epilepsy or diabetes, should one always call 911 if there is nobody else with them? And in cases where one should call 911, how urgent is that?

    • @FishyHannah2
      @FishyHannah2 6 лет назад

      It is if any of (a) (b) or (c) etc. apply. I would say definitely call 911 if it is a stranger and you don't know if they have epilepsy or diabetes, better safe than sorry. It is a potentially urgent situation depending on the circumstances, so let the 911 operator and paramedics assess the urgency of the situation rather than yourself.
