😂😂😂😂😂 Someone wasn't fair in this test. As you can see, Pirsche didn't start with engine in idle as Volvo. When Porsche start the run, the engine rpm was already at the torque rev when Volvo started wirh the engine in 0 rpm, therefore the delay. 😂😂😂😂

If it was not for the uniformly buggy software implementation in Geely EU/US vehicles I would get one. This makes me think uniformly poor battery management softwares also, which could lead to drastic battery life reduction. Thank you Tesla, Lucid, and Rivian for letting the engineering teams make decisions as opposed to the rigid top down legacy auto management. My 8yo Model S had lost 5% of battery life and the guy I sold it to is still driving it now two more years later.

Volvo is a great family car, especially if it has 7 seats, but it's not for drag races. It is fairly quick, but it won't beat cars like this Panamera, nor does it need to, to be frank. The "obvious" people should buy their flashy cars and leave the more frugal and sensible family cars alone...

Volvo did well I think. I work for a Volvo Dealership and the T8 is very quick. I just watched another video stating the XC90 T8 running the 1/4 mile in 13.3 sec. The XC60 or S60 would have done a little better is this matchup. 4.5 sec to 60 isn't a slouch. The upcoming EX30 electric will run to 60 in 3.5 sec.

I am thinking of the Volvo V60 with this T8 engine instead, it is a bit lighter, smaller wagon but with the same engine, should be a lot of fun with a stage tune kit on it to boost up the power even more. They are starting to get cheaper to buy used with pretty low mileage nowadays as well.

The Volvo is a bit of a miracle to me. The trunks offers less than half of the Tesla's trunk space, both if seats are up or down. Sure, it is smaller, but not that much smaller. And then there's the weight. How'd they manage to make it as heavy as the Tesla, even though it's smaller and has a smaller battery? I then went on and compared them to the huuuge EX90. Even that one offers less trunk space than the Y. Either Tesla is insanely great at engineering or Volvo is really bad at it. I don't know which one it is.

As these cars have emmense torque, the slightest delay can make a huge difference. Ive noticed with ALOT of replays BOTH Tesla side @ 1:47 and Volvo side @ 3:25. It is very clear on the 3:25 that you see Tesla already driving off and right after the volvo driver drives off as you can also hear the thump in him pressing the accelerator. Not correct these results....
