I think with Daredevil he would at least do everything he can when he knows Dexter isn't evil. Him and Dexter have one thing in common, the devil inside/the dark passenger, are very similar and I think that would give the two some great chemistry in terms of characters. Matt would go above and beyond not to help him get free, but make sure he's given a fair, proper rest of life.

I think in resurrection we might/it might be interesting to see things like this confirmed where characters like matthews or quinn who have strong reason to suspect dexter is the BHB are revealed to actually know he is and play a part in helping him escape his current situation and we get revealed that matthews knew all along and swore secrecy to vogel etc etc.

this theory doesn't have sense, Dexter currently can't be in purgatory because he is clearly more old than the version of himself in the first 8 arcs, spirits can't age, so if Dexter is still growing he is still in a physical body and so he is alive.
