Equine Pelvic Limb Skeleton
Просмотров 3313 месяца назад
In this video we examine the pelvic limb skeleton of the horse, using both an articulated skeleton and isolated bones, beginning at the pelvis. Because of the similarities of the metatarsus and digit to the thoracic limb metacarpus and digit, the time is not spent on the details of these.

Equine Distal Thoracic Limb Palpation
Просмотров 4,6 тыс.2 года назад
In this episode, a specimen of the equine thoracic limb is used to show where various structures in the distal limb can be palpated. Landmarks for nerve blocks are then discussed, and the specimen is skinned to show the various structures that were palpated. More detailed videos of the equine thoracic limb in this RUclips channel may be useful as well. If you find this video useful, please indi...
Goat: Thoracic Cavity
Просмотров 2,1 тыс.2 года назад
In the Previous episode, Goat: Structures on and around the Thorax, we described the region for lung auscultation, the puncta maxima on the left side and the intercostal structures. In this episode we examine again the pleural cavity and then examine structures within the thoracic cavity, including the lungs, the thymus, the phrenic and vagus nerves, the vessels cranial to the heart, the azygou...
Canine Pelvic Limb Muscles, Nerves, Vessels Review
Просмотров 10 тыс.3 года назад
This is an exam review that I did with an undergraduate class recently to review the muscles of the pelvic limb, the nerves that innervate them, and introduce the blood supply to the limb. It was fun (as always), and I hope the viewers find it helpful, as they do my one on the thoracic limb.

Avian Reproductive tracts
Просмотров 3,1 тыс.3 года назад
In this episode, primarily the female reproductive tract of the bird is examined with discussion of the formation of the egg. The male reproductive system is also examined and discussed using an image I created, as I did not have access to a specimen. If you find this helpful, please indicate that you "Like" it.
Avian Digestive Tract
Просмотров 3,3 тыс.3 года назад
In this episode, the digestive tract of a chicken is examined from the oral cavity all the way to the cloaca. First, structures are examined still somewhat in situ, including the liver and spleen, and then the digestive tract from the stomach distally is laid out, and with the stomach opened up, each segment and its function is considered more thoroughly.
Avian Head, Feet, Neck, Heart, Respiratory System
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.3 года назад
This episode begins by examining some external features of the head and feet, then moves into the oral region, down the neck, and into the cranial body cavity to examine the heart and lungs. Air sacs within the body cavity are examined and a discussion of the respiratory cycle in birds ensues. If you find this video helpful, or just enjoy it, please indicate that you "Like" it.

Goat: Neck Structures, Extrinsic Muscles of Thoracic Limb
Hello, I'm new to your channel but I'm wondering if you have a video giving a full overview of the goat skeleton? I'm looking to study to anatomy of the goat with a breakdown of its parts and how they interact as the animal moves. Would you be able to cover this? I ask because I'm learning to draw goats and i can't find a proper breakdown of their anatomy with an overiew of the full skeletal and muscle systems 😅
thank you so much for making all these videos! I was wondering, but is there a chance you could make a summary video like you did for the thoracic limb in regards to tips to remember the nerves/muscles?
just dropping a message to say that YOU'RE AN AWESOME DOCTOR!! thank you for helping aspiring veterinarians like us! your videos are a HUUUGE help.

Please turn to Jesus he loves you so much and wants a relationship with you ❤❤❤
I came here just to understand what lays around the back of the leg of a chicken, my chicken has a very large deformation which I believe is bad😢. She is old and does not pass eggs anymore. Well, She passed “something” four times last week that did not have shelves. Just a light yellow ball smaller than an egg. I thought she would die naturally but I’m thinking I may need to make a decision 😢she is rescued. Thanks for your explanatory video. Very insightful! And Oow, yes, sorry! RIP chicken😊
Best part is, you can eat it after dissecting😂
Glad to have your videos back! I’m in third year and we have started clinical diagnostic imaging and clinical examinations and diagnosis. Is it possible for you to do videos on these topics especially looking at anatomy in diagnostic images like X-rays please
Jack Woltz is not going to be happy.
I have some chickens dying mysteriously. They all have their heads ripped off and appear to have been drained of blood. The body is left lying there on the ground. If I dissect it, how will I know if all the blood has been drained?
watching this masterpiece right now
Really lovely breakdown, thank you so much!
Where did you get this model from, or was it personally made? I really like it.
It was made by the Anatomy Lab at WSU CVM
Thanks for the video❤ it would be better not moving the camera. Try to hold it from the above in a fixed position, so we don't lose direction (landmarks). ☺️
Could you make a tutorial on how to assemble the bones? Would love to articulate one in the same way as yours 😁
Hey i'm a med student, so I'm learning on humans lol, but i got curious to see what veterinary dissections look like, and i'm ngl its very interesting to see the parallels between human and animal anatomy, as well as the differences, its pretty cool!!
yay for curiosity 🎉 stay curious and good luck with school!!
love this video so much! just started first year of vet school, currently in SA anatomy and already struggling. this made it much more clear!!
Hello,👋 Thank you for sharing these enriching videos with us🙂. I would personally appreciate it if you could include some internal anatomical photos, allowing us to relate what we observe externally to what we've learned in internal anatomy🐎. This connection would enhance our understanding and help us better memorize both aspects.💪 Thanks again, and greetings from Algeria.❤
Um, well, what about the order of function..? I mean, there are phases in flight right..? Preparing to take off, the take off, cruising, and landing. You looked at landing but don't seem to cover the other phases and thus miss what it is we need to know about the sequencing of parts.
Ss
thank you for the videos!!!
Thank you doc ❤
Thank you 😊

Thank you for the information about the dog’s skeleton... I had two dogs, they were two brothers. The first dog was named (Buddy) and his brother was named (Jackie). They were very beloved dogs, especially the dog Buddy, but unfortunately the dog (Jackie) became ill or lost his appetite, then The dog became very thin. I tried to treat him as much as possible, but unfortunately the dog, Jackie, died on the morning of October 30, 2019. Then I buried Jackie in the garden 😢😢 and his brother Buddy was with me during the burial. I did not know that the infection had infected my dog Buddy so quickly, and about 5 days later. At 10 and a half in the evening I discovered that my beloved dog Buddy had also died 😢😞💔 on November 4, 2019 and I buried him with his brother Jackie....and two days ago I had to move the graves of the two dogs from their place and bury them in a new place, and when I dug the graves I discovered They are just skeletons 5 years after their death and I will bury them in a better place...in loving memory of Buddy and Jackie, the two beloved dogs.💔
Thank you for the lesson
Now I may correctly identify all my giblets
Thank you, its helpful ❤❤❤, Im not vet but wanted to know the anatomy coz I got a new puppy 😊

Thank you so much from Thai vet student
good lecture. Helped aa lot.
This is really great, thank you!
the last comment is precious.. :)) "cool stuff"
Scale partakes to feathers. The front decrepit front arms of dinosaurs are wings. After previous Professors did not yet realize, very difficult for the student to change this information. Feathers protected them better than scales did.
Please kindly clearly tell about the thymus gland in sheep anatomy
u rock! In vet school right now and I appreciate this so much <3
