Notchy weird boost at 2 khz and no real bottom end. I'll stick to the original vinyl LP.

Great recording! Compared to the digital commercial track this recording has no digital etch/glare (especially noticeable on the drums). It’s warmer and softer but with all the dimensionality and without losing any details. Long live R2R!

This sounds great throught my headphones. I have Violator on tape cassette and CD, ripped to apple lossless. I find the digital version flat and lifeless. I find the tape cassette has much more life, though not as brilliant as this version! I would like to try the LP...

I'm clearly hearing noise reduction artifacts (ringing on kick drum, plasticky reverbs, etc., and also stereo base is unnaturally widened) - a copy of which master tape is it? =)
