I bought my CVA Optima V2 nitride in Realtree green, with a 3-9x40 Bushnell on clearance at Wally World for $60 in 2018 only a few months after it came out. Still carry the receipt in my wallet for those times when I'm accused of being FOS. Truth! 💯

To be honest with you I have no idea. This gun came with this optic already installed and before I even purchased it the only optic that was specifically recommended for this gun was either the holosun 407k or 507k

Just bought one and I can’t even load turkey shells in it in the mag tube. Catches on the brass and that’s as far as it will go in?
I’m not sure what is wrong with the one you purchased but I haven’t had any troubles loading mine.

I just chamfered the edge leading in . So it works now.
Those are honestly piss poor patterns with tss!! If you’re paying for tss then you should be able to get much better results. Get an Indian creek choke and actually make use of the tss. Or use the junk mossberg factory choke and achieve what lots of premium lead load’s would do with a good choke!

You sound like you don’t want people to use what works for them 😂😂😂 goodness you are all tore up about a video on RUclips. Not everyone wants to fork out 85-130 dollars for a choke tube. I’ve seen TSS pattern stupid well out of a bass pro Blackmaxx choke made by carlsons choke tubes before. These new birchwood/casey targets don’t allow you to see your patterns real well anymore
Not tore up at all! Just my opinion. I personally feel that spending the money for tss and settling for patterns like that is like buying a custom target rifle and settling for 2 inch groups. A good aftermarket choke won’t run you much more than a box of tss. Some will run you less than a box of tss! And you’ll still have the choke long after that first box of tss is gone!! Bottom line is that the choke is the cheapest part of the combo. It’s a one time purchase.

Fella, if you can afford tss, and can afford to shoot 3 shots at paper, you can afford an Indian creek choke!! If purchasing a $60 box of ammo puts you in that bad of financial trouble that you can’t afford an $80 choke, then you’re probably not ready for tss yet!! No shame in that! And by all means, if you’re content with very sub par results then go for it. But I’ve seen many factory chokes shoot way better patterns with lead than what was seen in the video.

Totally agree with you, will never use any “junkbelt” for hunting. I use the remaining for sighting in only. Lost a nice buck using them, hit buck on shoulder & very little blood. Switched to BOR lock & never looked back to junkbelt

Have the same gun. I love the cutout for the Holosun (good cheek to stock weld) and also love the safety as I'm a lefty! Used to use a Remington SP-10 (Too heavy). Nice to the point video! Good luck!

My friend, I enjoy the work you do. I have found no reason to replace the Black Mamba choke in my gun for turkey or water fowl.
They all will fill tags. I'm not knocking Apex, but after having a conversation with a fella there on performance and what I was seeing. I seen REALLY quick I needed to shop around. Hey we disagreed on some things and agreed on others. I tried his recommendations and they didn't work for me. I shopped around and yes there is better out there. I'm not married to any ammo/choke company. Heck I'm running 3 different ammo/choke combos in 3 different guns. What I'm saying is, if you don't feel confident in the set up, don't settle for it. You didn't chase this bird for 2 miles, 4 set ups, and hours of homework to have that moment took away by a weak gun set up.

I like the form factor of the shorter barrel. Does the 24” barrel offer any advantages?
To be completely honest with you I have no clue if there are any advantages or disadvantages when it comes to how the 24 inch model stacks up to the 18.5 when it comes to patterning or just shooting in general. I went with this model because I like how compact it is and figured it would make for a better gun to run and gun with. Like I said in the video, I absolutely love this thing and don’t see myself hunting turkeys with anything other than this for LONG time.
shorter barrels long story short just increase your maneuverability make it easy to swing around in thick brush ect.

I have one just got my 16 poi t bull moose
I just bought the CVA Wolf and after sighting in 5 shots using the White Hots the breach plug was pretty nasty. The other thing I noted was the barrel and using sabot style projectile by Hornady. I certainly think pure lead is the way to go, but maybe when I get solvent to clean the bore that will change my mind, as I have read that it will remove plastic and powder after a few passes. Certainly I agree with The Hunting Public that in the field you should clean after every shot, or at minimum every two if you needed a quick follow up shot. I'm hoping to get one with the bow as always but now I have a Muzzle and the 1 shot one kill still makes it challenging and I would be proud of that too!
